  1. Iam on 390mgs Armour ( 6 and 1/2 grains) My TSH is <0.01 FT3 a titch over the top of the range and FT4 well up in the range. Your FT4 is way too low I agree with the others with Hashi's you need TSH suppressed as TSH feeds the antibodies attack I was previously on 300mcgs thyroxine so am looking forward to maybe reducing my Armour once I get this...
  2. If you are going to the Alice/NT definitely the "dry" season..........June-October......can push it to May-November but might strike a bit either end and that would apply to Cairns/top end of Qld as well
  3. I have Hashi's and Coeliac, my grandmother had Type 1 diabetes so did 3 of my aunts and my son has it too. My daughter has lichen planus an a/i skin disease very similar to psoriasis Rheumatoid arthritis is the other big auto-immune disease in our family, going back to my great grandmother that I know of I'm the only one I know with Hashi's and Coeliac...

  5. Also keep a food diary including meds you take and put symptoms next to what you eat, it may just turn up something .Sorry if this has already been mentioned it's nearly 3.00am here am having a sleepless night lol

Meredith for me the diagnosis (via biopsy) was a relief and explained 45 years of misery and I'm mad as hell that the docs didn't figure it out long ago or do ANY diagnostic testing just told me I had "IBS" when I was 21 going by symptoms (after having problems since I was 12) and "eczema" when I was 16 and now I've researched and have seen photos I know...

  9. Just how long ago was there an "official" disease of Celiac identified? I was diagnosed with "IBS" in 1969, at age 21 but had it from age 12 October this year had to have an endoscopy/colonoscoy because I was very iron deficient and a bowel screening showed blood in both upper and lower GI tracts All the years and all the doctors I've seen not one thought...

  11. This is something I have never thought of! I am post-menopausal but do wear Poise/Tena Lady ( shhhh..lol...) I have now emailed them asking whether or not they contain any gluten products ( named them explained c/c etc )

Have found a website that makes skin care/laundry/shower/personal care products Open Original Shared Link They list their ingredients and although it doesn't mention any gluten in them I emailed them to make sure I got a reply a nano-second later saying all their products are gluten free, looks like they are based in Qld going by the time stamp on...

Walter when I went gluten-free I ate a lot of fruit lol, tinned as well as fesh it had been years since I had eaten much and I always keep it on hand for the times I have the "nibblies" Another easy thing for me is gluten-free pasta and sauce, although you might be wanting to avoid the pasta if you don't want anything processed at the moment How about...

  18. OK have heard back from my friend she suggests the "Country Life" Gluten free bread the "LOW GI" one (it is marked on the packet as low GI ) and is sold in Woolworths/Safeways (I have seen it in Coles as well) ...........hope that helps!

  20. Welcome!! I am an Aussie ( not that you can't tell by my avatar lol) I am nearly 60 and am celiac confimed by biospy although I've known that gluten causes a problem for me and I can see the signs going back to my childhood

  22. Despite her thyroid labs being "normal" a lot of her symptoms are those of hypothyrodism.....do you have her labs handy and what was tested? If it was just the TSH then that is not enough Of course they could be symptoms of other things as well but the ones she has are the main ones of being hypo

I've decided to get rid of my toaster well give it to one of the kids lol, I know I can use toaster bags but I'd like to start out with a nice non-glutened one I am giving my chopping boards to the kids as well What about bakeware / cookware/tupperware I already have? It seems...
  24. Just wondering if it's safe for us to use wheat bags? Mine has a sturdy cover then a removable outer cover (for washing) and I somties wrap it in a hand towel as well when it's fresh out of the microwave
