  1. I cannot believe I forgot to watch last night! I must go to utube.
  2. That nursery set was cute. My girls nursery was barn red and blue. Since I didn't use the comforter in the crib, I used it as a wall hanging. I also got wooden hearts (if I had a boy I would have used something else), and wooden letters to spell their names and painted them to match the nursery. It was cheep, easy and cute. Add flowers or hearts and...
  3. It would be fun to have our tattoos as our avatar.
  4. I have no help, just wanted to say how sorry I am for what you, your mom, and family are going through. You're in my prayers.
  5. I don't know if this has been posted before, but I just found a web site that has gluten free recipes. It's allrecipes.com. look up gluten and it gives pages of rated recipes, all gluten free. I tried the yellow cake (rated 6 stars out of 6) and it was really good.
  6. It really is. My mom is going gluten free (MS and I suspect celiac) so we are both so happy to find a cake that is good.
  7. I am a homeschooling mom of two girls, 6 and 4. We also have a 3 yr. old catahoula leopard (dog). When the girls are old enough to work more independently I would like to work on my masters. I can't decide if I want to major in something to do with family therapy (practical) or theology (my interest). In the past I have worked for a finance co. and in...
  8. I've made my first cake from scratched, gluten-free of course, and it was really good! Some of you have read my whining about the brownies I tried to make and feed the dog. I am so excited! Just had to share.
  9. One wipers! (oh, yeah, you know what I mean).

    ARCHIVED P. F. Changs?

I hear you on the gas. We are multi-tasking, he is going to drop me off at the mall so I can get some clothes for the kids, while he runs his errands, then we're going to Whole Foods (first time), and then dinner. We live 45 freeway min from Portland, OR so when we go we make it count. I am so excited, I have been craving chinese food. Thanks for the info...

    ARCHIVED Duh!

My DH got the quads out and was working on them. I started thinking back to last summer how little I rode because of the D. I always thought it was because of bad eating while camping. When we went on our big trip to Florence I thought I had a bug because of all the D. I was even beginning to wonder if we had some kind of mold in the trailer making me...

    ARCHIVED P. F. Changs?

My DH wants to take me to the city for dinner. Would $50.00 be enough for a good meal for the two of us (we don't drink) at P. F. Changs? I know nothing about the restaurant other than it has gluten free chinese food.
  13. I never watched AI much until the a couple of season ago. I always got bored, but then came the rockers. It didn't take long before I got sick of Constantine but I enjoyed Bo. Last year I loved Chris D. (He was robbed!). Blake is the only reason I watched this year. I didn't like Kellie Pickler (please, the dumb act got old), or Katharine Mcphee. Do...
  14. I have a reason to watch next week, yeah!
  15. Hicks drove me nuts! Always acting like Ray Charles, it was insulting. Charles did what he did because he was blind, it was just wrong to watch a man who can see do it. My kids admire me, but they don't sit on the pot pretending their poop is toxic.
  16. Blake is the only reason I'm watching the show, so I really hope he doesn't go home. I hope it's Lakisha. I'm not a big fan of Melinda but at least she's not boring every time. Not once has Lakisha sung and I was interested. Some of it's song choice, but a lot of it is delivery. I doubt Blake can win, so I hope it's Jordin.
  17. It gets better. I was so overwhelmed when I started almost 5 mo. ago. Now it's not so bad. I lived on this site reading everything for about two weeks. There are still times I get tired of it all, but for the most part it's not bad. This site is your best education and support. Ask questions, brag about good days, cry about the bad, this place is the...
  18. A chef!
  19. 1) I can now enjoy my children. 2) I have been forced to deal with carb addiction. 3) I am forced (thankfully so) to cook and creat healthier meals for my family. 4) I have a good doctor. 5) I had to learn what a message board was, liked it and the people on it. 6) I have become more aware of my body. 7) I have Celiac Disease A Hidden Epidemic as a...
  20. I know what you mean. When i first had symptoms I didn't want to go to the Dr. I'm overweight and of course that would be why I have gastro probs. I was lucky, but my mom wasn't. She had some complaints that no one took seriously until she quit smoking, then they found out she had MS, and neurorapathy. My first rule of thumb is to fight for your health...
  21. Thanks for the support. What ended up being the worst was trying to convince people that it was not a gluten reaction. If that's the price I have to pay for supportive friends and family that take celiac seriously, well I have it good then.
  22. As if worrying about being glutened isn't enough, I have food poisoning.
  23. I have to say i was worried about Blake too, but he rocked. I think it was also a good move for him to go back to the beat box, it will remind his fans what is so unique about him. Jordin was hard to watch, I hope it doesn't send her home. I'd love to see Chris or Lakisha go.
  24. Bon Jovi night! And I don't have to listen to Sanjaya ruin it. Yeah!
