I understand where you are coming from. Most people loose weight before the go gluten-free, I gained ( as If I need more weight). I was once told that for some their brain can either misinterpet stomach pain for hunger, or we misinterpet the brains signals as hunger. This usually happens in people with eating issues. I'm not sure if this is true or not...

There are very few books I will buy new and in hardback, the HP's are a big exception. I can not wait! And a new movie to boot! July is going to be a good month.

Thanks, That would explain why I've thought I was coming down with a cold twice, and yet it never quite turned into much. It's nice to know I'm not crazy. Before I was diagnosed I actually wondered if I was crazy, I had so many symptoms besides tummy aches. This board has been great, I now know most of my problems are common. Has anyone else had problems getting dizzy or light headed after eating when they first went gluten free?

Especially when he keeps inviting guests for meals. I babysat three days last week, and we had guests the other four days - not fair to me, I am utterly exhausted, I cannot handle having guests in my house that often, especially if they're strangers. He'll tell me that the way I am is not 'normal', and I should get over it.

This has been the best topic thread for me. It is so nice to hear other people feeling what I feel. I've been gluten free for 11 days. I cry. I almost broke my mouse slaming it into my desk because I couldn't find out if any of the pain relievers in my cupboard was gluten free. I can't stand any of the gluten free breads and tortillas that I've tried...

Well, I've been gluten free for a week, not enjoying it. I have two questions. One: I just tried a rice tortilla and it was horrid, it was worse than eating a stale flour tortilla. It was so dry I ended up feeding it to my dog ( she had no complaints ). This stuff is expensive as you all know, so anyone have a good recomendation? BTW I don't like... -
I've been gluten free for three days because I have Celiac (too bad they couldn't have found out before taking out my gal bladder). How do you read labels. Is it true that if it says artificial flavors that it may or may not have gluten. How can they be alowed to be so cryptic. It makes finding food a nightmare. Hi, I'm new to this too, I just had a blood test come back positive, and now I'm waiting for a biopsy. My Dr. gave me a prescription for Bentyl (for IBS). This take cares of all my symptoms while I wait for the Biopsy. The first day I was a little light headed, but by the second day there were no side affects. Good luck. -

My blood test said I have celiac. I'm waiting for an endoscopy. The more I read the more worried I get. My symptoms seem mild compared to what I've read. I had thought that I would just have to watch how much gluten I took in. After reading several posts, I am beging to wonder.
