    Monday I set up an appointment with the GI doctor I was referred to. I am just not "better" like I would like to be. The pain goes away while I am on the antibiotics and then comes back when I stop them. NOW ontop of that I am having bleeding ( I suppose hemmaroids). It's not a little it's ALOT which scares me a bit. My Mom thought I should go in and see...

    Yes, the last time I wrote to them(a couple years ago) they said they used wheat and corn in the briquettes. They also claimed that any wheat in them would burn up and not effect the food. However, my stomach troubles after eating told me differently. I went and bought a gas grill and haven't looked back since. I don't trust people who say dumb things like...

    Mrs. Leepers is GOOD!! Reminds me of the old "hamburger helper" days of the past! ha It's good for those quick and easy meals. It also re-heats and freezes well (leftovers). -Jessica

    I don't have DH and really don't know a WHOLE lot of info about it. I just noticed your post that said you hadn't recieved any responses to this thread........I thought I would come and offer my 2cents The doctor did the right thing by doing the biopsy of her skin. That will help to determine if the rash is indeed DH. If it comes back as DH your daughter...

    Oh you only had upper........I had upper and lower the same day. Anyways.......might be worth a shot to call your doctor. He can do a physical exam ( pushing on your tummy and asking some questions) to see if he/she thinks you might be having some issues with diverticulitis. Good luck!! -Jessica

    Right, CBC would show elevated white cell count (infection). However, if your counts are normal there is no reason that a scope couldn't be done. However, if your counts are normal, most likely this isn't the cause of your pain. The pain usually comes from the infection. Therefore you really most likely don't need the scope. How long ago was your scope/biopsies...

    If what you have is diverticulitis....then you would not want to have a scope done until you are healed. The scope can puncture those tender/infected pouches and create an even larger problem. My dad had to be hospitalized last summer with this and they refused to do the scopes until he was completely healed. They didn't want to risk it. -Jessica

    If you are not careful (eating foods that aren't good for the colon, things that can get caught in the pockets) then YES it could be inflamed for a long time. Possibly infected if it goes on long enough. I have put myself on a almost liquid diet for the last 20 days.     Jay- WOW....7mm would be pretty large of a pocket!! You sure need to be careful. I don't think they counted my pockets when they did my scopes.     The first time I made chebe, I made the rolls. I thought it was the NASTIEST thing I had ever tasted. They were gummy and had a metallic taste. BLEH!!!     As an adult I LOVE the cherry almond streusel muffins, however I'm not sure a 3 1/2 year old would be too crazy about them. I don't get them often though. The drive to whole foods is over an hour! ha -Jessica

    I used to LOVE chow mein noodles!! I would love to have some, however I have hard shipping from them is OUTRAGEOUS!?!! Is this also true of things like the chow mein noodles? Anybody know? You have to create an account to figure any costs and I don't want an account if I don't order. -Jessica
