  1. Here are the ones that I get on a regular basis: *rice crumb coating (herb flavored) this makes an AWESOME parmasean chicken *pie crust mix *chocolate truffle brownie mix (in bulk) *old fashioned cake and cookie mix (their lemon cake recipe is sooo good with this mix) Enjoy!! -Jessica
  2. Yep, Glutenous rice flour is gluten free. It is flour made from stickey rice which is the kind that you ususally get at chineese restaurants. -Jessica
  3. That is actually a pretty common reaction. I know personally I wouldn't have known what gluten was before I got my diagnosis. I would have been the person asking "now what was it again". At least they were polite enough to check.Help them out and explain it a little so they will be more informed in the future. Good luck. -Jessica
  4. They are very cool, cost 2 dollars and are green!! Highly recommend getting some!! -Jessica
  5. You were diagnosed by biopsy and bloodwork in the beginning?? -Jessica
  6. What I did when I made them was when they were cooked, I immediately dumped the box onto the brownies as soon as they came out of the oven. They melted onto the browies then cooled. Then I spread frosting over all of that. mmmm -Jessica
  7. I saw that one at the store last night, picked it up and had it for supper. I had no issues with it. Was VERY good, came with broccoli and cauliflower that had seasoning on them SOOO good. -Jessica
  8. The part that cracked me up was that he didn't get why I was mad that he said what he said!! Like you said Kaiti there are people out there for us who do not care about this silly little eating thing. Just takes time to find them -Jessica
  9. Something as simple as the weather can mess up bread. Altitute, humidity, tons of things. Don't give up. I am a manna from anna fan also (but the regular mix) -Jessica
  10. I was recently seeing a guy and we got along really well, had tons of fun etc etc. He looked at me one day and goes "I just don't know if I could have kids with a person with celiac" like I had AIDS or something. geesh. Needless to say he got kicked to the curb pretty quickly!! There was no way I wanted to have kids with someone who thought it was THAT...
  11. Another vote for gluten free pantry chocolate truffle brownie mix. I buy it in bulk the 5lb bag!! My family loves it!! They always steal my brownies when I take them to their house. I smother them in milk chocolate frosting mmmmmm They also make a mean brownie sundae after being put into the microwave for about 20 seconds and drop some icecream ontop...
  12. If it is a spice (not a blend of spices) then that would be the only ingredient. Mccormick brand would list if there was anything else added by having a ingredients: section on the label, otherwise it is a pure spice and no additives. -Jessica
  13. I use that soup all the time in caseroles, with no problems. Possibly it was something else that you ate or maybe the dairy. -Jessica
  14. Paula- You might want to check out some of the newer literature and articles on vinegar. The only vinegars that are not safe are basically malt and the apple cider FLAVORED vinegars. I believe those are the only ones. I am sure someone can correct me if I missed any. -Jessica
  15. That is what I use also, the White corn. I prefer those to the yellow. I had a package and that is the same UPC that I had on mine hehe Guess I don't need to post it. -Jessica
  16. I agree, a little variety would be nice Let me know what you find when ya read the label. -Jessica
  17. Why risk it?? I don't think that saying play-dough is off limits is being too paranoid. They make a wonderful gluten free playdough that can be used instead. It is sort of expensive, but from what I understand the bucket comes with TONS of dough so it is worth the money. You could provide a bucket for the preschool for all the children to use instead of...
  18. Joe C was also (please excuse my terminology if it is not politically correct) a little person or a dwarf. I believe that this too can bring on health conditions that would have nothing to do with celiac disease. This could be part of the reason for his large list of medications.
  19. A Personal Touch On....Celiac has done a great job with their book on celiac disease. They used the format that you are speaking of. -Jessica
  20. I use Williams Taco and Chili Seasonings. -Jessica
  21. Please be very careful when ordering from things like this. The formulations of these medications from other countries are NOT FDA standards, sometimes less of the important ingredients and such. It can really mess up your system. I would advise AGAINST using places like this. -Jessica
  22. I use that recipe, except add chocolate chips and use brown sugar instead. YUM!!! -Jessica
  23. I love Kozy Shack European Rice pudding. Even better is dipping flourless peanut butter cookes into my european rice pudding!! mmmmmm -Jessica
  24. Do they go out of your home for preschool? If so she could be getting small amounts of gluten there. Children of that age are very "sharing". Here, have a cookie, cracker, etc. It can easily slip by a teacher or aide. As Kati mentioned, playdough could also be a culprit. Even if she isn't directly playing with it, tables may not be washed properly, they...
  25. *colic as a newborn *atopic dermatitis age 3 *sensitive stomach, even clothing hurt it all through childhood *severe tummy troubles in high school, throwing up daily, lost weight, sick diagnosed with inflamed duodenum and put on axid *immune system basically shut down, sick constantly, on rounds and rounds of antibiotics, dr's couldn't figure it...
