Hershey's is actually a wonderful company. All you have to do is read the label. Things are not hidden, if it comes from a top allergen it will be listed as such. -Jessica -
I feel blessed with my boss and his wife. She always cooks a huge dinner and we have the party at their house. Since my diagnosis she has taken it upon herself as a challenge. She goes over the menu with me and finds out what brands she needs to buy etc. We talk about cross contamination and where it can occur with what she is cooking. I always have something...

angel-jd1 replied to Corihere2's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I would also recommend some of those flushable wet wipey type cloths. They are made by several different companies. They flush and you will thank yourself for getting them!!! If not you will be sore and raw. -Jessica -
I'm guessing that you are talking about Lea and Perrins Worcestershire Sauce. I have a bottle in my fridge and nowhere does it state any ingredient as being malt anything. My bottle is a US bottle, i'm not sure if their ingredients vary from country to country. Also, the website address that you have for them isn't the one for the us. Possibly that is the...

ARCHIVED Gluten... Its In Everything!
angel-jd1 replied to campcour's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
That is actually not true. Lotions shampoos etc can still get into your mouth. Do you ever put on lotion and then go eat ? Lotion can get on your hands and under finger nails and then on into your mouth. It is an easy way to contaminate yourself. I know most people also open their mouths in the shower, a little of the water with shampoo gets into your mouth... -
No problem, hope you get to feeling better soon. -Jessica

If you are eating turkey that was cooked with stuffing inside of the bird, you are asking for trouble. -Jessica

I was just wondering if anyone had eaten at Culver's? It is a burger type place. It has an allergen listing (which is great) however it lists wheat, which is in pretty much every thing because of the bun! ha I wish they would be more specific like "this is ok without the bun etc". Anyways, just curious if anybody had tried it out. I'm sure I could have a...

I get those sometimes also. They are like little pimples, except they don't usually hurt. I am a very clean person so I don't quite understand why or how they get there!! -Jessica

IBS= I Be Stumped This quote came from a doctor at the NIH Conference on Celiac Disease!!! I thought it was hillarious, just thought I would share. I too was given that diagnosis for a while. It is just a cover for the doctors not knowing what in the heck is going on with your body. -Jessica -

ARCHIVED Kraft Mac And Cheese
angel-jd1 replied to ryebaby0's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
It is sold as like a popcorn topping. It is in a small shaker can like parmasean cheese. I know in the local super wal-mart it is in the velveeta cheese section and with the parmasean cheese. The can is a dark blue color. It is less than 2 dollars and is pretty good. -Jessica -

ARCHIVED Gluten Free Cream Of...soup
angel-jd1 replied to Racheleona's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Progresso makes a creamy portabella mushroom soup, and also a creamy chicken and wild rice soup (pick the chunks of chicken out). They are not condensed soups so you don't add the extra milk like in the campbels soups. They work really well though for those green bean caseroles and company potato recipes!! Always read labels to make sure you have the right... -
