  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Thanks for posting this - I've been wanting to go there, but hadn't heard anything about it. I will have to try it out!
  3. When I got my flu shot a couple of weeks ago, it said right on the form that you could request a mercury free injection. I think they are becoming more widely available.
  4. I just got an email from the company to call their customer representatives - they said that the wheat flour was the mislabel (they just switched ingredients) and that the gluten free label is correct, the wheat flour is no longer an ingredient in the Crispy Crowns. I said I absolutely do not trust that the product is gluten free and wanted a refund - they...
  5. Thank you! I was assuming the "Gluten Free" was the misprint since after I went to their website, the crispy crowns were not on the Gluten Free list. I hope they will at least refund my $$$. That's a very serious mistake!
  6. I couldn't get this link to work . . . ?
  7. Yeah, I'm interested to see which was a mistake - the gluten free labeling or the wheat ingredient - pretty scary either way!
  8. Just wanted to put a warning out there about Ore Ida products. I went to make lunch today and got out my bag of Crispy Crowns that say "Gluten-Free" in big white letters under the ingredients. Luckily, I double checked the ingredients before I put them in the oven . . . Wheat Flour listed right in the ingredients and following the allergen information ...
  9. The lab doesn't "do the wrong tests". The doctor gives exact orders for what he/she wants tested, and the lab just performs the tests the doctor ordered. I work in the lab, and we never "just decide" what tests we do. Just wanted to clear that up.
  10. Here is a link of places you can go: Open Original Shared Link Have a good trip!
  11. my husband and I were in Belize a year ago, and everyone staying at the resort we were at were there for the birding except for us! Here is a link to the resort we were at - it was great - and they were fabulous about the diet. I emailed them before we left, and right when we got there, they took me to talk to the cooks. Besides the desert, there was only...
  12. I found these: Open Original Shared Link They have one in Arabic - hope that helps!
  13. I also noticed that when I was buying groceries this week. Let us know what you hear!
  14. is that the only sauce that is safe?
  15. Thanks for the info - I have never been there. I will have to try it out soon
  16. I started to feel better within a couple of weeks, but it took about 6 months for my symptoms to totally go away. And like Jmommy said, expect some good days and some bad in the beginning - good luck!
  17. I was told at age 19 that I either "outgrew" Celiac, or that I never had it. I was diagnosed at age 2, then was having some digestive problems at 19, and my doctor retested me (at that time, I was cheating on the diet regularly, but apparently not enough to get a positive biopsy) and said I absolutely did not have Celiac. It took about 5 years of being...
  18. My husband and I got married in St Lucia (see my avatar pic). Our parents and siblings came with. It was fabulous! So instead of spending thousands of dollars on a wedding and then going on a honeymoon, we just picked where we would've liked to go for our honeymoon and just got married there. And everyone got a nice vacation out of it. I watched so many...
  19. My biopsy was positive at 22 months.
  20. I always buy the Kinnitoos, but the other day at the store, I saw they also had Mi-Del and they were $2/pack cheaper than the Kinnitoos . . . are the Mi-Del "oreos" as good as the Kinnitoos?? It would be nice since they are so much cheaper, but I sure love my Kinnitoos since they taste so close to the real Oreos. Thanks!
  21. I eat their "Rice Twice" often - tasty!

    ARCHIVED Iceland

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has traveled to Iceland and how it was with the diet. My husband and I are looking to travel there next year, and am looking for any tips/advice. The trip we would like to take would take us far out of the main cities and staying at some farmhouses and B&B type places, so most of the time, I would not be near many...
  24. My favorite definitely (if you live in the twin cities area) is Chianti Grill. They have awesome gluten free pasta - it's like the Olive Garden, but better! I have never gotten sick there.
  25. hahaha - I know EXACTLY what you are saying! Just yesterday I said to my hubby, "How sick do you think I'd get from a Big Mac? I want one SO BAD!" He just shakes his head and says, "Don't do it, Lisa!" And I very rarely ever ate Big Macs before, but lately I have been craving them like nothing else . . . maybe I'll have to try making my own gluten free...
