  1. Jerry, good luck. Hopefully your biospy will be soon and you can start to feel better again. Let us know how it goes.
  2. Hi you guys!!!! Thank you so much! I haven't been on the board much because I'm crazy busy with work. I really appreciate you guys posting this. Thanks Happygirl! I had a good day, survived the dinner out. My daughter is home from school this weekend so we get to celebrate.
  3. I made these and took them to work today.... everyone was worried because they knew that they are gluten free.... THEY ALL LOVED THEM.... I was a hit.... thanks for posting these!
  4. Yes, please let me know...This is silly how much I am breaking out. It's only been a month gluten-free but I am not clearing up at all!
  5. My DH gets really bad in the sun or when I sweat in the all the usual places.
  6. Hi Jerry, you deserve to feel better. No family member, friend or foe should ever prevent you from that ... it is your right.... if you don't feel good, and you don't look after yourself first, how on earth could you ever look after and provide for your family? If I didn't stop and get myself healthy sooner than later, how will I be able to help my...
  7. OH my.... I want to cry too....It's snowing here in Ontario as well. Get home safe.
  8. Welcome to the site! You should never be worried about sharing on the boards - everyone shares....thankfully we can because what we discuss is the not so fun part of our body functions.... I am fairly new as well. I would get all the tests you can as soon as you can. I am in Canada and have to wait to see the gastro until April !!! Good luck...

    ARCHIVED Tim Hortons

Hi there, thanks for the information. It makes sense. I'm not sure I could give up my Tim Horton's.... if I don't feel better soon, I might have to! Today, I'm off to buy a new toaster that the rest of my family will not be allowed to use...
  10. WELCOME! I'm pretty new as well. This is a great place to learn lots! I was diagnosed IBS years ago... turns out that wasn't it.....LOL
  11. My DH looks worse after a shower or bath. I can see all the inflamed spots.... some of them can resemble mosquito bites.
  12. Happy Birthday ... if you figure out how to get him off that DVD let me know... I'd love to do the same with McDreamy....LOL

    ARCHIVED Tim Hortons

It's funny, I was wondering the same thing just yesterday while my husband and son wandered off to get a pizza slice across the road... I stuck to the coffee... if you find out, let us know!
  14. Tucker - my chocolate lab in the picture is the same way with squirrels.... He loves to make them run up the tree in our backyard. LOL
  15. Hi all, I joined this forum a few weeks ago and I have been reading and asking questions. I just got DX on December 20 for DH and have serious GI issues. I don't get to see the Gastroenterologist until April... I know this thread is a bit old but I thought it was so neat how close some people are. I live in Keswick, ON....not far from Bowmanville,...
  16. Foul taste in my mouth, moody / grumpy, D, brain fog, blisters, cramps, itchy, sleepless nights.... so much fun. Shirley - I love your new picture!
  17. YES! I get them on my stomach, back (all the way down to the base of my spine), hips, back of thighs, feet, arms, elbows, neck and head.... You should get them biopsied by a dermatologist or try a gluten free diet and see if things improve. Something I am noticing and others with more time in will tell you (I'm still new at this) it takes time to clear...
  18. Hi there, I'm in Canada. We also use "celiac"
  19. Jerry, I'm new at this too. I stand at the cupboard hoping something gluten free will jump from the shelf into my arms and I will love it... doesn't seem to be working that way. Your posts ring very true for me and there is definately a mourning period over the food (at least for me there is). The upside is feeling better, slowly but surely...
  20. Hi there, I'm sorry but I have to ask this. I think I have noticed something about my DH and my monthly cycle. It seems to start to itch just before and then I break out on days one and two (and sometimes longer). It's not bad enough I have my "friend" as my mother loves to call it, I seem to always have a breakout too. Does this happen to anyone else...
  21. I did the date squares with buckwheat flakes and they flopped....they were runnier than normal and I ended up throwing them out. I'll have to figure out what went wrong and try again...
  22. Hi there! Thanks so much for taking the time to post this recipe! Looks awesome!
  23. Some nights are great - tonight not so much. I wish I could sleep. I'm tired but itchy as $%**. For me the itch of DH keeps me from sleeping. I sure hope this gets better soon.

    ARCHIVED Naturopathic Doctor

I am considering going to a Naturopath to help me figure out my new diet, generally make sure I'm doing the right things and get suggestions for better living, etc. Has anyone gone to a Naturpath? Did it help? Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
  25. Hi Cathy, thanks! I have found when I eat things with MSG - chinese food, my smoked salmon spread - I get the same symptoms as when I get glutened. I am probably losing it with all the reading I've been doing but I thought I saw somewhere that MSG was off the list... oh well, either way I'm not planning on adding it back in. I feel better without it. ...
