  1. It's a good reminder that there's always a strong possibility that something is doing this stuff to you, and that you can find out what it is. There's always hope - lots of hope, and Hope is good. Brian, you just keep on truckin' til you find out what it is.
  2. Hi Everybody, I'm here to confess my sins. Last night, I had a beer (Edit: Redbridge, of course), a shot of tequila, and some tortilla chips - Booooooo. It's gonna be the Championship game, there has to be some celebrating and enjoying, right? I got the DDR. How cool is that ? We tried it for a bit before Charger Happy...
  3. I used to work at Fuddruckers - ~1987 (as a baker, of all things - buns, cookies, brownies, etc.). The bakery was separate from the burger station, but man - when I think of Fuddruckers, all I think now is gluten, gluten, gluten. Personally, unless they were making a sincere attempt to separate the grilled buns from the burgers on the grill and while handling...
  4. Hi Ladies, I'm so sorry for posting totally off-topic last night. It was totally rude of me. Welcome to the new thread, Shannon, and congratulations on your 22 lb weight loss - that's great ! Okay, is it possible that I've lost 4 lbs in a week? That's what the scale says - crazy, right? I totally stuck to my diet yesterday, despite certain stressors...
  5. I don't know what to do. I don't know how to think. I guess you think you're parents are immortal all your life. My Mom is taking my Dad to the emergency room. We haven't found out what the problem is - I'm 45 minutes away from them - I don't even know where they are. I'm terrified. Please say a prayer for my family, for my dad. Thanks
  6. Goodness, Liz - that doesn't sound good. Maybe you could try to eat more times during the day or somethin'. Donna, my husband always complains about how boring it is when he has to do HIPAA and compliance stuff for his job. Hope your test goes well. So, I went to the gym ! Yaay I'll post my food probably Saturday, but have a busy couple days...
  7. First, (( Hugs )) I believe I may be one of those people, but I don't think it's much like what you're describing. I have kidney disease, but no loss of kidney function at this point. I wish I had some kind of answer. I know you've had your struggles lately. Take care of yourself. k
  8. Hi again, Ladies, Thanks Joni. In keeping with my new-found accountability, here goes (I'll Edit later if needed): B - Had a little serving of the pot roast I planned on eating yesterday L - I had pot roast again (easy) - carrots, potatoes, celery, etc. D - 1/2 a Chicken Breast / Stir-fry veggies again (eggplant, kale, red bells, carrots) *Joni...
  9. Thanks - we're going to check them out tomorrow. It should be fun & help me burn some. We have a gift card to Best Buy too - hmmm...is it luck?
  10. Hi, I wasn't gluten-free when I went, but I remember having trouble with the food issue anyway. The one thing I can say is there was this ski-up restaurant & bar - you could literally ski down the low slope & walk right into the bar area outside - you could go into the front door too (I can't remember the name). Anyway, they had awesome chicken...
  11. Hi Ladies, I think I'll have something to report when I weigh in on Friday. I've been doing great with the food. I'm actually going to post today. I'll update it later with the rest. B: 8 oz. berry blend juice + 2 HB eggs L: Chicken Breast + Veggies cooked - kale, red bells, eggplant, olive oil, etc D: Will Be Pot Roast - potatoes, carrots,...
  12. So, it looks like I gained a couple pounds - I guess that makes sense (considering my over-indulgences this week), so for my weigh-in, I'm not 160 like I thought yesterday. Weight: 162 Bumping my goal up to 15 lbs. to lose now. I'm going to concentrate on prepping meals and getting cardio in. Calories in / Calories out. It's as simple as that...
  13. Hi Everybody, Good to see you here again, Liz. Donna, thanks for continuing to post. You're doing great. Hi Jestgar! Let's do it ! Let's be more healthy. Joni, I'm soo going to get DDP for my PS2. Sounds so fun. Hi Dolly, Welcome to the thread. I know 150 is a lot. EDIT: What I meant to say is 'I know 150 is a lot...
  14. Thank You (& welcome to the forum). I've watched about 15 minutes so far. I'm so glad I saw this. k
  15. Thanks for the link to mac & cheese Andrea, I'm also going to try the ranch dressing for Charger Football Monday Night. Someday, Mango, on my adventures in Whole Foods, I'll check that Mac & Chreese out too ! k
  16. Andrea, Would you be so kind ? I'd be interested to see that recipe thread . I've been wanting mac & cheese too. Thanks (if you see this). kat
  17. Amanda, Also saying prayers for your sister. I wanted to add that a few years ago when I was taking DEPO shots, my whole system went completely haywire - very irregular bleeding (of concern), huge moodswings, headaches (some migraines), I was very out of control on that stuff. All kinds of really nasty stuff happened to me. It may be the DEPO with your...
  18. Hi kmrinmd, and welcome, You sound a lot like me when I was little too. Childhood hx of car sickness (always & really bad), general low energy, and anxiousness (panic attacks, etc.). In my 20's, the lower tummy cramping, and a few other things. I'm not diagnosed Celiac because I was gluten-free before I even knew about it. I stopped eating wheat...
  19. You know what made me kind of sad? Maybe you're feeling a little of this too: It made me feel sad when I reflected on all those years that I lost to this. For me, it was depression/anxiety, mostly. I feel much better about it now that some time has passed. Now I'm just thankful that I can move forward & I'm happy to live my life without the gluten...
  20. Hi everyone & I wanted to welcome Sharon, Harobed & LuAnn. If I missed anyone, welcome to you too. I'd love to offer advice, but, alas, I'm not the one to do it . Liz (Lonewolf) has a pretty good grip on what it takes to get it done. Seems a lot of people gain a few pounds when they first dive into the gluten-free lifestyle. It takes some getting...
  21. Yeah, I'm sooo not upset about being tested. Like I said, I was more than happy to do it. I went through volunteer testing years ago because of the same type of reasons you were - it never really occurred to me that it would have been anyone else's problem, or to be embarrassed about it. I think the invasion of privacy was that my insurance and medical...
  22. Hi folks, I'm so floored right now. Something that wasn't supposed to have anything to do with my personal medical records was added to them because of a billiing error, not to mention that they billed my insurance company, which also wasn't supposed to happen. At this point, they can't remove the information from my medical records because of federal...

That's too funny, Cathy - that's why I put my post in large letters in blue. I guess I previewed the post and noticed the same thing. It takes some time to find the actual post when quotes are involved.

Green, black, blue, purple ... I don't care - as long as you guys are still here. I love that there's advertising. Gluten-free stuff has a place to advertise & they're paying for the space (I'd assume). That's awesome. The site is successful. Celiac is that important. That has to be a good thing ! Thanks Scott & all you guys for giving...
