    i also had the celiac panel done when i sent in for the enterolab test. I wanted to be sure on all counts. Well I just spoke to my doctor and i am positive for celiac. I guess I am one of the few that didnt need to have the DQ2 or DQ8 gene. paula

    Is there a link with the 2 diseases. My aunt who is 36, was just diagnosed with thyroid cancer this morning. They want her to go for radioactive iodine therapy ASAP. My aunt is the sister of my uncle that was just diagnosed with stomach cancer last month at age 39. paula

    Nancy thank you so much for all that information. I found it very informative. If you ever find any other articles will you let me know. I want to learn as much on the medical side as I can. I took lots of psychology classes, and how the brain works and so forth in college, and it always fascinated me. It is sad to say i dont remember much from the classes...

    I think it would be awesome if dr. oz talked about celiac. I was not impresses with the segment on the View either. I felt it did not cover it enough and it was all rushed.     IF i were you, i would call the doctor back on monday and see which test came back really high. Too make sure it is the one that is most accurate for celiac. paula

    If you get eczema i think it would be good to worry about all your stuff to be gluten free. I for one only use dove soap, shampoo, deodrant cause they are all gluten free. And even if u gont directly ingest them, u can still touch your hair and then put your fingers in your mouth ang get gluten. Same thing if u dye your hair, the dye needs to be gluten free...

    The first 3 weeks of going gluten free i gained 9 pounds. I was getting so depressed. But now this week i am slowly going back down, my stomach is getting a little smaller.     I have been having fun with google today. But thank you for those 2 sites. I think i will just live in the produce and veggie aisles for the rest of my life. I use to be a vegatarian, and i think life was easier then lol. But thanks for everyones help today. I know i can get threw this. And i will love how i feel in a few days, weeks or months paula
