    [ Several people seem to base their doubts on the high percentage of people who test positive. I think this board is a very biased sample. I would have never found this board if I hadn't been having issues that led my Dr and I to suspect Celiac. I then heard about Dr. Fine here. I never would have spend the $300+ if I didn't have strong suspicions...

    thank you for that info, i didnt think it would take more then two days from texas to colorado, but i guess so, I hope it comes today so i can send it out today. If not i guess i will have to wait til monday or tuesday. paula

    i dont think anyone else would of likes the brown rice tortillas, they are ummm different, they dont taste to bad but it was like eating paper lol, texture wise, or maybe i put them in the microwave to long. are the white corn tortialls gluten free to, if so i think everyone might eat those. and i bet so much cheaper. I cant believe 6 gluten free tortiallas...

    Well i had an talk with him this morning. Yesterday he ate candy and pizza for lunch, and i asked him he felt and he said he felt terrible and he did terrible in wrestling practice.     i made fajitas, i made mine with the gluten free brown rice tortialla, but everyone else made theirs with regualr tortillas, i told my husband that he had to make everyones cause i could not touch the reg. tortillas, and he made them, but we touched the same utensils while he made everyone elses and i made mine. could i have gotten glutened by that. Cause...

    Just an question, if you do not think its permanent, then when u retest, wouldnt the numbers keep going down. or do they stay the same threw entrolab. And ifs non-celiac, then when the number go down, then would you be fine to eat wheat or gluten again, or would the cycle start all over. paula who is patiently waiting for her entrolab kit to get here

    I can so relate to you, Yesterday my hubby came home and i was like honey i went to the bathroom by myself and it was great, he was like i am so proud of you. I had been taking an laxative for one day, but that was on monday lol paula

    Thank you all for the ideas. I was thinking of using the tactic, that if he dont have celiac disease yet, that whatever he has can lead to celiac that will cause him not to be able to get into the military. I think i read here that if u are celiac you cant go into militray, and that has been his dream for years. And maybe ill talk to him about my uncle who...

    yes they were the antigladin test, and for the ttg all is says is tissue. See i was thinking he could be negative for those cause he is only 13 and not enough damage has been done yet. And we never ate too much wheat until the last few months, even tho i know gluten is in so much more stuff. I will check at that website, thank you very much paula

    I would love to hear more this, My grandma was bi-polar and so was her twin. We also have a few that are on dperession/anxiety meds, and would be interested to know if their is an connection, or if their problems could lessen if they got rid of gluten. my grandma passed away 2 yrs ago, so i will never know, but it would have been nice to know more about celiac...

    Thank you for those ideas. I was just telling my parents that i was going to threaten him with going everywhere with him. I think it would scare him. I agree with the bad beahviour, i know part of it is being an teenager, but he gets really mean and rude. And i have to worry about the 4 little ones in the house. But i know the few days he didnt eat gluten...

    Thank you for your respsonses. I am really thinking of getting rid of all gluten in the house, from all i read it is not good for anyone. I dont think it would hurt my 4 other kids at all. But i know i need to find out exactly what is going on. It is just so hard cause we did have an appt on valentines day and the dr cancelled due to an death in his family...

    Oh i totally agree with you, it is hard to get him to do it. But i can see how much better he is when he is not being glutened. His symptoms have been severe constipation mouth sores all the time very tired moody cant concentrate (he went from staight a's to c.d and f) stomach pain that last for weeks on end for over an yr bruises very easily...

    How can i get my step-son to stop eating gluten. I keeep telling him he needs to make better choices, He does fine for like 2 days, then he goes back to eating what he wants. He figured in those 2 days that he feels better, that he is fine, so he goes back to eating gluten. Even if i get rid of everything that is gluten in the house, i know he will still...

    We never had the talk, cause when i walked into his room i found an cup of whole milk and lots of cookie crumbs in the milk. Then he walked downstairs and had a huge bowl of cereal with milk that was not glutten free. I told him how upset i am with him eating what he wants. So i spent the whole time talking to him about what he was doing to his body, of course...

    Yesterday my mom went to find me some gluten free vitamins. And she got me daily total one with maxi sorb. Its a complete and balanced iron free daily supplement. there is 30 vegetarian capsules. Has anyone taken this before, and since it does not have iron, should i find an gluten free iron pill. If so does anyone know of any good ones? paula

    I have been thinking about all this also this past week. The more i read that gluten and wheat hurts so many people and are linked to so many diseases, it makes me wonder who it at fault, us or the companies. Of course comapnies what to add stuff to make their product taste the best, to make us keep buying it over and over. But are we at fault to keep buying...

    i was thinking for a bit that everyone tested positive to also thro entrolab. But then i got to thinking, of course most of us are positive, because we do not get tested just because we want to, We have has issues that make us think we are problems with gluten, so of course we are going to be positive. Im sure if more people tested that never had C or D,...

    Ok thank you for un-confusing me, i was so confused when i read some post lat night before i went to bed, i of ocurse was thinking about them all night. So should i just keep him gluten free and see how he does, or wait til arpil 14th when we see the ped gastro, he wasa doing better being gluten free, but he decided he was fine and ate hot lunch yesterday...
