  1. Amanda, Oh my goodness!!! That is ridiculous! Thanks for the warning. Kassandra
  2. My sleep is fine once I'm asleep. It's getting to sleep though. I think because I am not waking up at 5 and going to bed at 1, my body doesn't know how to sleep when it's not exhausted to the most extreme point. The good news is I went to bed at 1 and woke up just now (it's noon.) That was without taking anything. Kassandra
  3. So I know plenty of you have had to deal with insomnia, so I was just wondering what is something that I can get over the counter that won't make me sleep for 10 days straight...lol. Kassandra
  4. Andrea, I know...the print is too dull...it needs to be black...not charcoal! LOL! Kassandra
  5. Judy, If you press refresh, it won't be as bright... Julie, Grr! I hadn't thought about that! It's like there something going on because every time I try to get something done...it doesn't happen!!! Jin, WHERE ARE YOU!??? Kassandra
  6. Tom, Lol!! Thank you! We are very happy! Now I am freaked out to get the PICC line! AHH!! Everyone, The place that was going to run the test for Lyme (western blot) didn't call me back today! I guess I will have to wait until Monday or Tuesday. Kassandra
  7. MommaGoose, LOL! I think that is SO funny! It is generally tense around here these days...apparently Celiacs don't like change...lol. HAPPY TURKEY DAY!! Kassandra
  8. Colleen, Thank you for your reply. I am going to have it in for iron IV's and they will administer them at the Dr's office, so I won't have to flush it or anything on my own. Since I won't be going to the hospital for treatments, I am assuming I will go to the hospital for the placement of the line? Is that right? I guess I will find out soon...ugh...
  9. It could definitely be dairy/casein. I would eliminate it for a couple months and see what happens. It is really common that Celiac patients can't break down dairy while their villi are healing. The good news is that there are some really good dairy free products (just make SURE they are gluten free). Kassandra
  10. I am going to get a PICC line in over the next couple days for IV treatments. I was wondering if anyone has had one before? Was it painful, how long did you have it? Was it a pain to take care of? AHHH...I'm so nervous!! Kassandra
  11. Julie, Lol! I am not expecting anything from this lab. If it comes back negative, we will pursue Igenex, but if it's positive, we won't unless the LLMD wants us to. Kassandra
  12. Okay, I have REALLY GOOD NEWS!!! The insurance has approved up to $800 a day for iron IV's!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since the IV's cost about $300- 500 a day, so there will be enough for a PICC line also. The Dr. just needs to order that and figure out exactly how this will all work out. I am so relieved!!! On another note, the Igenex stuff still hasn...

    ARCHIVED Changes

I agree, it is hard to read the topic names...because the sub topic is so much darker...the colors should be the other way around. Black on top, gray on bottom. Just my humble opinion... Kassandra Also, isn't is green because that's the color for Celiac? I had always wondered why it wasn't green before.
  14. I'm not so sure I like the new board format. It's a little confusing...I guess I'll get used to it. Kassandra
  15. Happy BDAY Sherry!!! Kassandra
  16. They are the exact same thing...from my understanding. Gluten enteropathy, Celiac Disease, Celiac Sprue...all the same thing. Kassandra
  17. Carla, It's not that bad. The biggest thing is soaking nuts the night before. You really do have to plan "meals" otherwise you end up eating salads all the time...lol. Last night I chose 3 recpies I wanted to make today and I soaked the seeds/nuts over night and then prepared the "crust" for the pizza this morning and put it in the dehydrator today for...
  18. You can see a picture of it if you want!!! There are some other pictures in there, but it's easy to find. There are also other raw creations in there!! Open Original Shared Link Kassandra
  19. Would you guys like me to post the recipe? It was SO GOOD! The crust was made out of seeds and other stuff. Let me know. Kassandra
  20. OMG...I just had the BEST raw pizza!!! It was free of everything (even nuts!!!). It was SO GOOD!!! I never thought I could have pizza again!! Carla, I think this is the first holiday season I won't gain weight. Even if I wasn't raw, I don't think I could eat anything at any of our family gatherings...lol. There is an upside to multiple food intolerances...
  21. I just have to rave about the raw diet for a minute...I have literally eaten anything I want (as long as it's raw) and I have already lost 2 pounds!!! I am talking apple pie, donut holes and more! I don't think I will ever go back to cooked food! LOL! On a serious note...I did a little pilates yesterday (literally 15 minutes) and I felt terrible today...
  22. You can try taking something, but at this point, you won't absorb anything. Before I went gluten-free, I had iron problems and I took more iron than you could imagine and it did nothing. I actually had to have iron IV's because my numbers got so low and I kept passing out because I was so faint all the time. What's low? How low are your numbers? If they...
  23. For everyone who thinks they won't like green smoothies, if you start out with only 2-3 leaves of spinach...I'm telling you you can't taste it at all!! I thought it would be gross, but I really like them. I don't do as much spinach as others, but I do a good amount. I started out with a small amount, but slowly increased. Kassandra
  24. Nora_n, They are not enough iron for me. I have no ferritin in my body, so they need major heavy duty iron, one shot is equivalent to about 1/5 of an IV and I am going to have 8 IV's. Kassandra
  25. I have the opposite problem...too little ferritin!!! I am going for more Iron IV's next week actually. Thanks for the info though. Kassandra
