ARCHIVED Very Loud Stomach Noises-Embarassing!
gfmolly posted a topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I have issues with certain foods which vary, that make my stomach gurgle. I have celiac, so have been gluten-free for four years, eat very little lactose, and am very active. The issue occurs more frequently in the evening when lying down, or sometimes when I am in quiet meetings. I tend to not eat if I know that I will need to have a quiet stomach, which... -
Hi, I had a laparoscopy as well and a course of lupron. I did have two children and the symptoms returned shortly after the pregnancy hormones went away. The lupron really helped me the most. If it's bothering you enough to wake you up at night, getting it checked out is a good idea.

gfmolly posted a topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Hi, I would like to make scones, but I'm not much of a baker. Does anyone have an great recipes for scones utilizing an all purpose flour such as Bob's Red Mill? I'd love to mix fruit into them. Thanks!! -
ARCHIVED Non Dairy, gluten-free Flavored Coffee Creamer?
gfmolly replied to Miss.Slick's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Have you tried the coconut milk creamers? They are sold under the "So Delicous" label. I really like the flavor as a creamy substitue and have to have the bit of sweet in my coffee as well! Open Original Shared Link -
ARCHIVED Tazo Tea

I've never had trouble with any of their teas, and I am extremely sensitive. Have you eliminated dairy? That can be troublesome while you are healing for most people. -

Flavorings is the red flag imo. I would call on that one. -
I am 1 year into this and have been doing remarkably well. I think I've gotten too brave, because yesterday at Germanfest I asked about the brats (they were Usingers) and whether or not they had been boiled in beer. They were, but the manager offered to cook me one that wasn't in the beer. He came back, put it in a bun and handed it to me. Then I told him...

Hi there, I am seriously considering going back on the SCD after about a year leave from it. I have celiac and found it to push me over the edge in the ehaling process last year. I was diagnosed about two years ago now (hey, my anniversary just passed!) and found ti so helpful. I am experiencing vague intolerances again. The motivation to go back on this...

ARCHIVED Another "female Issues" Thread
gfmolly replied to ohsotired's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I have to agree with this post. I have endometriosis and it is alot like you have just described. I am on Nuvaring for three months on, 1 week off in order to control the symptoms. I did improve when I went gluten free, but the endometriosis still exists and can be quite painful to deal with. The only thing that keeps me regular is being on bc. I hope... -
That has happened to me and I have never linked it to gluten, but it was certainly during more stressful times of my life. I've seen spiders and bats. I'm not even scared of those things! Although the spiders have been pretty big! Interesting!! A also have not had one of those dreams since I have been gluten-free!

ARCHIVED Gfcf Cake Falling In The Middle
gfmolly posted a topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Hi, I have made a recipe called "Cemetary Cake" for the second time now, and it falls in the middle. It comes out of the oven looking great, and in the next few minutes sinks in. Is there an ingredient to add that would make this not happen? I can post the recipe if that helps. It is delicious regardless, very moist. I used Pamela's baking mix for the flour... -
I have long eyelashes as well, and so do both of my children. Although my oldest does not have celiac and is in the least likely category according to the genetic testing.

gfmolly replied to dogle's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
This will get better. The diet is a challenge at first, but you can master label-reading and knowing how to handle situations when you have to eat out. I have been diagnosed since April of 2007 and now I feel like a normal person! Even a year out, I didn't think it possible, because I was still not healed. I would have to say I was fortunate, because I did... -
We have lots of snow here in Wisconsin!!! We've had three good storms in the last week-1 foot of snow last Friday, 6 inches on Sunday, 6 inches yesterday, and today we are getting about four of the wet heavy stuff. And of course our snow blower died during the first big storm!! Anyway, it is beautiful Christmas snow! Merry Christmas all! Molly

Threads like this can be so fun!! A couple of disagreements though-I actually had Nana's cookies before I was gluten free and liked them!! Oh well! And Chebe breadsticks and pizza crust are good to me as well. Least favs: 1. Energ Rice bread of course 2. Quinoa pasta was pretty nasty 3. Glutino cereal bars-weird aftertaste Favs: 1. Pamela's... -
ARCHIVED New Here Too - Need Help
gfmolly replied to Tim V's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Tim, It really sounds like you are doing all the right things! Great work. It is so scary to watch your child have medical troubles. I have celiac, and I am having my 7yo son biopsied next Tues. My thoughts about your daughter are in line with what you said, it doesn't make her feel good to eat, so she's refusing. As her intestines heal, (you may want... -
ARCHIVED Stomach Pain & Painful "lumps"?
gfmolly replied to agorm76's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
The other possibility is inflammation in the valve area between the stomach and the intestines. Mine get very irritated when I get D from gluten. -
Applebee's is a really tough one because much of their stuff is premarinated or seasoned, and the risk of cross-contamination is huge! When I eat out, I try to go somewhere that prepares the food from scratch...I have been in your position many times! I always explain my situation to the waitress and ask many questions. You really get better and more comfortable...
