  1. Hey Janet.... I've been meaning to ask you for like, I dunno, months... how did you come up with your screen name??? I keep going back to the UnSexy MySpace pic, just in disbelief. You know, I have a VERY strong stomach. I'm going back to school to study nursing, and routinely watch surgeries on TV. But there is something about...
  2. Optimus Prime is the badass leader of the Autobots-- the good guy Transformers!!! He is most definitely not poodle-like, and I have no clue why Ez decided on FeeFee for his gun. He is indeed learning a little Spanish in preschool... Susie, soooooo sorry you are feeling so poorly. Hopefully you'll be doing better by the weekend. BTW, I saw...
  3. I generally don't allow my kids to have toy guns, but a few little ones slip by me... Such as the little ones that come with some of the Transformers action figures. So I have discovered that Ezra has NAMED Optimus Prime's gun.... and her name is Fifi (FeeFee?) How did this happen!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
  4. Make it so! And if they do not behave themselves, they shall be required to: *Chart Emily's husband's pharts for a week *Go produce-shopping with Imsohungry Julie *Watch Teletubbies for 48 hours straight and *Scrub Celiac toilets for the rest of the year
  5. They were indeed chocolate chip- good call guys- and according to Luke, they were still gooey when he ate them. My only current goal is to outlaw explosive body fluids for at least 24 hours! :yawwwwn: BTW, I was wrong about Ezra's strep. It's yet ANOTHER sinus infection. This one is so bad that the drainage caused a rash of bumps in his throat. Since...
  6. OMG!!! I loooooove it! (BTW, the cookie delivery was made successfully, with time to spare. I surprised Luke by showing up in the cafeteria with the cookies- and he is still young enough that he was thrilled. )
  7. Oh my gawwwwwwd, who would've thought ramblin' on about Mayberry and Nascar could get you a crown!?!?!?!? I would like to thank Peter and Tom, for being interested in our little region of North Carolina! :D
  8. For some reason, I never count Mayberry. I guess I've been close to it for too long. I go to Mt. Airy because it's got the closest Wal-mart. I worked at the Mayberry Blockbuster when I was in college. Martinsville- yup. You're related to Reed Sorenson? That's not too piddly- it's an actual blood relation. No relation is too distant in the south. You...
  9. Utterly amazing and impressive that you remembered that two-sentence post from September! Indeed, I live about 15 minutes from Mt. Airy, the real-life Mayberry. I've never been a big fan, but I do like the town. Fun little places to eat, tons of antique shops, etc. Next time I go, I'll take a few pics of the most popular Andy Griffith places, like Floyd...
  10. You assaulted a produce boy with a phart, and told a story about it-- you are soooo in!
  11. OMG Amanda, I hope everything's alright! Is it just me, or is the word "fart" 10 times funnier when it's spelled "phart?!" Phart is airier than fart. That's what it is. And BTW Peter, I forgot to say Thanks for the welcome back! And how did you know I live in Surry County!? You just blew my mind.
  12. Perhaps so!!! Can he bake?! He could make pizza crust for dinner tonight too, and I can take a nap!
  13. Actually, that would work for me. For chocolate chip cookies, we like the Bob's Red Mill mix... which is HEINOUS in the dough form. Only good once baked. The first time I made them, I scooped up a spoonful of raw dough (as was my usual practice)... and had to run to the sink, spitting and hawking, etc. Not good.
  14. Oooh fury! Dang it, poopy cow, etc, etc!!!!!!!!!!! One of Luke's teachers just called me and said that it's the other teacher's b-day, and can I bring Lucas some cookies so he doesn't feel left out? Sure but it woulda been great to know that like yesterday when I didn't have to take my other child to the doctor, and had a little time, and more than...
  15. Whew..... <----- That's my happily relieved face!
  16. But Bev.... Your avatar is FREAKING ME OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Whaaaaaat?????? I take a few days "off" and come back to Fart Charts?! (I gotta go back and see what other good stuff I missed.) Ezra has strep throat again... which would be why I'm up at 2am. A funny from last night: You know how they say that after you've been married awhile, you start to take on each other's mannerisms, expressions...
  18. I'm totally a hippie liberal tree-hugger over here. Yay, Carla, on the re-usable bags! Janet, I totally agree. It makes no good sense that everyone is urged to recycle, but they have to pay for it-- while NOT paying for trash pick up. We don't get up of anything out here. I get to haul everything off myself. Fun, fun, fun. sigh... One of many...
  19. Hi, and welcome to the board! Yes, a lot of people have multiple intolerances. I don't know if multiple intolerances are more common in people with Celiac, or if Celiacs are just more AWARE of them. It's hard to give you useful advice without more info-- Are you and all three of your children Celiac/gluten intolerant? When you say one of your kids...
  20.  OMG!!! I love these! I think 5, 6, and 14 are my favorites. As for flushing.... NC has been in a drought for quite a while now, and I have witnessed a couple of my neighbors' wells dry up, SO.... we also let it mellow if it's yellow, and flush it down if it's brown.

To the above, I would add-- -- Tinkyada Rice Pasta (all shapes- elbows, spirals, spaghetti, lasagne, etc.) -- Trix, Cocoa Pebbles, Fruity Pebbles... Also 365 Brand (Whole Foods) Cocoa Comets -- Heinz Tomato Soup -- All Classico sauces are gluten-free, and many Ragu and Hunt's varieties-- check companies' websites -- We do a lot of homemade chili, soup...
  22. Omg, I would be eternally indebted to you!!! Oh yes indeed... there is that-- he's a hottie! I really like the other one, too, from the first season... Christopher ..erm.... Eccleston? I think that's how you spell it.
  23. Yeah, my hubby smokes too. I have the WORST time with that-- when I see someone else light one, then I want one too. I KNEW IT!
  24. Two things I keep meaning to write, and keep forgetting (senile!?!?!)... Emily, I love what you wrote about things getting easier. It goes to show how adaptable we can be when we have to. When I first heard of Celiac Disease, I thought to myself, "I would never be able to do that. It would be horrible, horrible!" Now, 99% of the time, it's just not even...
