  1. No one attacked you. You just came here and claimed that something wasn't gluten free without even giving any facts as to why you felt that way, no mention of flavor or any other items you ate that day. People on the board will help you but you have to understand that there is a lot of incorrect information on here and the people who responded to your post are the ones who try to keep things accurate. Stop being so defensive and start realizing that people are here to help, just go about asking your questions and showing your concerns about a product a bit differently!

  2. I had the same issue with my b12, I was at 50.....50!?!?! and normal is between 200-900....I've been on the shot for 6 months and still i'm only at 190. I'd definitely start talking to them about the shot and maybe even get some over the counter b12 pills. You'll be surprised how quickly you start to feel better after you start the shots, but since I'm still pretty low...toward the end of the month I can really feel my "batteries" depleating. Low b12 can mess up SO much, I was actually having celiac-like side affects but following the diet strictly..while I'm not there yet, I"m doing MUCH better.

  3. I'm usually VERY cautious and strict...so it's truly a defeating feeling when you gluten yourself because you go too comfortable.

I finished my third bottle (not all at once but a few times over the last few months) of Raspberry Sparkltini. Would you believe this WHOLE time (we're talking a few years) I thought it was champagne.

So imagine my surprise when I finished the bottle and just happened to look at the label and it said "premium malt beverage from Italy". I tried to google search its gluten free status but didn't find too much and at that point the damage was already done. So now I'm just sitting and waiting for the ball to drop (so to speak).

Its my own fault, obviously, but its just such a sad feeling when you do this to yourself...especially when you know better!

  4. Some people just like diet soda better than regular :) It doesn't annoy me too much but I did have a situation in college when it bothered me. I had just gone gluten free and that's when they were pushing hard the mindset that if I continued eating like I was, I'd do damage that could eventually lead to stomach cancer. I took that pretty seriously, among other things, and drastically changed my diet. Only to have a sorority sister, behind my back, say that she was also gluten free and that I was full of it because you could get cancer from using a microwave...all while eating pizza, tastycakes and breaded chicken tenders. Clearly, not gluten free. That ticked me off :)

  5. I'd imagine you're getting sick from cross contamination of the McFlurry machine. Just because the flavor you got is considered gluten free doesn't mean that the blender was cleaned properly after a non-gluten free one was made. You can ask them to clean it for you and explain your situation, if they're not crazy busy or just stick to a plan cup of ice cream!

  6. I've never had issue with corn on the cob but know several people who do. If you're really unsure of what the cause might've been and you wanted to test the waters...moniter your eating for a few days and try having the corn again, if you feel the same way then you have your culprit. However, if you don't want to deal with feeling that way again and you're fine kicking corn out of the diet, go for that too! I always did the trial and error when I had something that was bothering me but wasn't sure what! I hope you feel better!

  7. My body can't handle coffee...but the only other issue I have with caffeine is that I can't get enough of it! I've heard of a lot of people on this board who struggle with excessive (sometimes even normal) amounts. Have you been able to pinpoint a certain product which causes a rash or is it just whenever you have any caffeine or chocolate?

  8. I've actually heard quite recently that the CPK's gluten free menu is misleading...I Saw this article from the Gluten Free Girl blog that I follow.

Apparently their Director of Culinary Devlopment has also said that CPK's Gluten Free pizza is NOT meant for people with celiac disease, but for people who choose not to eat gluten, as they cannot guarantee that it's gluten free.

The article is worth reading before you go eat there, then the decision is yours!
