  1. I think this is an excellent suggestion. If you are not ready to hit the restaurants yet, speak up, let them know. They may know about the gluten-thing, but most people don't truly understand it until they live it. You don't want to hurt their feelings but I'm sure they would feel awful if they found out you got sick because of their good intentions. ...
  2. They don't always have to match . . . and just think of all the times when you lose half a pair . . . We shall all send our "onesies" to Jess. An update on the kids . . . I decided that my daughter was faking it and took her to school on the way to my son's doctor's appointment. The bad news is the school nurse called three hours later to tell...
  3. I have done that - and I let them know. That way they know ahead of time - less likely to be offended. For a birthday party that my daughter went to, I had a mom that wanted to do "something". So I told her what brand of ice cream to buy (and also told her that my daughter's needed to be dished up first).
  4. Jess - Emily - Keep your eye on Gus Twas Strep.
  5. Who doesn't like a nice ass Alas?
  6. *Snicker*Snicker* UCLA STUDY A study conducted by UCLA's Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle. For example: If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. However, if she is menstruating...
  7. Nikki - I'll trade you your backwards dragged hedge hair for my two sick kids. We are headed to the pediatrician later this morning. Nothing too awful, normally I would wait it out a bit longer but my son's tonsils have been HUGE for quite some time . . . they thought he had mono back in October. Now, strep throat?, flu? or just a random virus but...
  8. Quite Clever!! And something that the kids can help with. Thanks for posting.
  9. Happy Birthday Susie!! I hope you have a fabulous day. Let the Dingos Dance (after a little rimadyl, of course) and let the Yeti lead. He did show up for your special day, didn't he? It is an honoUr to count you among my friends! Treat yourself well today!!
  10. IT'S SUSIE!!! IT'S SUSIE!!!!!!! (Of course, unless she's a big liar like Tom - but it looks legit) Happy Birthday Susie!!!
  11. I've never been to that sight before! What I want to know is which one of you guys wrote that?
  12. Doesn't Gluten Free Pantry have a french bread mix? A cheesey fondue might be exactly what gluten-free bread needs!! Apples Pretzels Baked potato wedges Now when you get to the chocolate fondue, I've got loads of ideas for you!
  13. Just to comment . . . I don't want you to be too hard on yourself. I'm terrible with names. If I have gone into a walk-in clinic (instead of seeing my regular doctor) an hour later, I would have no idea what the doctor's name was unless it was on the paperwork that I brought home. If you call the clinic, though, they can tell you who you saw and that's...
  14. I also vote for the glutino ritz like cracker. I get mine at wild oats but they are not with the cracker section, they are in a small gluten free area. We also eat Blue Diamond Nut-Thins at our house. We eat the chedder and ranch flavor so they wouldn't be appropriate for dips/spreads. They have some other (nut) flavors that may work for you depending...
  15. Are you saying Jess is funnier because of the comingling of the Yeti DNA? . . . thus the Yeti's sense of humoUr which previously was thought to be virtually non-existent is indeed more advanced than our own (much like his hearing, sense of smell, and actual smell)
  16. OH MY, JESS!!! I can't imagine the tab he ran up with all the damage he's caused. I'm sure your lab's insurance will cover the cost . . . I sure hope they don't have a smoldering yeti exclusion clause. Is there some sort of prophylactic available? Excellent Work Sillies - I have come in from a very busy day (spent the day with...
  17. You guys better watch out . . . someone's gonna report you for talkin' dirty? . . . kinky? . . . nerdy! Yep, that's the one! So Jess, how did the big hairy experiment go? You know, that phrasing makes me think you're experimenting on the Yeti. You're not making him run through a maze with electrodes on his head are you?
  18. Oh, looks like someone's been googling . . . oh no wait, he's just pullin' that out of his arse! No such thing, unless you're an egg or a mirror or fine china or. . . a butt cheek?
  19. My daughter just wore her pajamas - we were the first scop of the morning and had to be there EARLY. I don't remember what she got to keep on and what she had to take off. My husband got to keep his pants but not his shirt and wore a gown. Good Luck tomorrow.
  20. Made all those other poor blokes wish they had a Daddy like Sarah's . . . So I was thinking to my self . . . Self, here they go again with the made up words!! Now what witty, smart-assed reply are we going to make? And OMG it's a real word. Susie, do you have one of those new-word-a-day calandars? Do a lot of cross-word puzzles? California...
  21. Anybody seen Open Original Shared Link . . . it's a hoot. My bil sent an email version. I checked it on snopes and apparently this did happen although there is some missing background info that you don't get in the letter exchange . . .
  22. Are you having any other sinus symptoms? Could it be a slow drip (so to speak) down the back of your throat. Here is what we are dealing with my daughter . . . a couple of different docs have noted her throat is irritated. She complains that it's cloggy in the morning. I've heard her coughing at night - like a little tickle cough - something irritating...
  23. OH THAT MOMMA GOOSE!!!! She's sneaky and she's fast!!! She wasn't even here when I started my post and she still beat me!!
  24. Cross Contamination - crumbs in the butter, somebody eating a sandwich and then reaching into the big bag of chips, shared toaster . . . it happens everywhere!
  25. Banquet is part of ConAgra. ConAgra is one of the companies that will label their gluten. So if it doesn't specifically call something out in parenthesis after "spices", then it should be OK. Here is a list of companies that will call out their gluten sources. If you read the label and it does not say wheat/rye/barley/oats, then it's OK. Open Original...
