  1. I'm in WA state. Where are you at? If you want to chat, pm me and I'll give you my contact info. We started going to a support group 5 years ago, but I didn't find it overly helpful. This forum has been an invaluable resource to me!
  2. Oh-he has a rare disease called Keratoconus. His cornea was severely deformed and was declared legally blind at 16. He had his first cornea transplant at 23 and the 2nd 2 years later. He can actually fit contacts onto his eyes now, so he sees 20/20!
  3. Ugggh! Haven't had it with the kids yet but got it myselph when I was working as a preschool teacher wilst in college. Imagine living in a strange city wif a (then) blind husband My mom had to drive 6 hours to go thru my hair every day for 3 days Sounds like fun.....
  4. Yeah, I think your biggest threat will be the other kids' pizza covered hands and faces and the crumbs from the pizza and cupcakes. From personal experience, especially with kids this age, the crumbs get all over the floor, which get stepped on and thus moved from room to room. It's a tuffy.... I'd be hovering like crazy too
  5. Well, if it keeps him away from other girls' lady bizness for a few extra years, my job is done

  10. He needs a bath, so you might want to wait They picked him up yesterday and the fur on his head is perfect, but the rest of his body is pretty matted and his flanks have huge stress spots He was a stray that no one claimed. My brother saw him online, his girlfriend fell in love, they went to see him immedietly and Ozzie ran right up to Shane, burried...
  11. No xray. There's nothing they can do for it anyway. I've done it twice before Did you know that jumping into a pile of leaves arse first is NOT a soft landing.... I do On the bright side, this is my new nephew Oswald. He came over last night to meet the kids, get acclimated. It was love at first sight on both sides. He loves Max. He's super...

  14. One bad experience will always make me cover the food in the microwave. Now, the microwave I used at a friend's house was SOOOOO disgustingly dirty that I should have done it in the first place. I heated my dd's food in the container we brought, left their house for a Blazer game, got to the game and spent the entire first half in the bathroom with horrible...
  15. That sounds like fun! I asked for shooting lessons at a local range for Christmas, but I didn't get them. I think hubby was a little nervous about that one
  16. I've had that one for the last year or so, it's been a life saver!!! Teachers at school will call if they need a quick answer, as will my parents and the kids' friends' parents when there's a playdate! Not to mention when I'm at the grocery store! I just wish it had personal care products as well as food...

  19. Short term success, yes. Long term-no. It was a really quick way for me to lose weight. I didn't find it appealing. I prefer my meals to be warm
  20. Today is funk-o-licious. WIH?! I think I need a good long run, but I'm trapped in this hospital. I've been doing stairs in between my patients trying to boost my endorphins. 22. My beh-beh lost his first tooth last night! Well, in all actuality, Max had a loose tooth, Jesse accidently hit it with the toothbrush and knocked it sideways, I was afraid that he'd swallow it while he was sleeping, so I convinced him that I was just going to mop up the blood in his mouth. I pinched the tooth, ever so gently, with a paper towel and the...

  24. Cutting it close, every symptom, getting skeert Turns out, I think all the sugar and crap I've been eating the past 2 weeks just magnified all the PMS symptoms, which for me are all the beginning signs of being preggo. AND, after the hub's snip-snip last spring, he never went back in to make sure he's shootin blanks. He say's "I'm sure it's fine" to the...
