I have been doing full makeup, cute forgotten clothes, and hair - all to go nowhere and see no one lol. Even hubby is out of town. I think vanity has come back with a vengence lol. So glad you got your order without having to hurt somebody lol. Thanks for the...

If you feel like this is a major opportunity for yourself, I would really brainstorm with friends and family for solutions to make this work for you. I don't know all of your food intolerances, but I know I keep stashes of non-perishable food with me at all times. I have a stash at work, in my car and in my computer case. I travel in my work, and I...

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!WW340 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Thank you all for the nice comments on my hair and make up. Glad to know about the Glass Bottom Boat. I almost didn't order because the specials didn't look that great. But then I decided I didn't care, I just wanted my order. I totally agree about the emerald as an eyeliner, I love it for that, but would like it just a tad darker....

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!WW340 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications I read that it makes a good concealer for dark circles. I was skeptical, but it does actually work better for me than the sunlight concealer. I did the same thing once. Express DHL means "we'll bring it when we feel like it". It took longer to get it express than it did to get regular mail. Now I have an order lost in the mail zone. Priority...

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!WW340 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Wow, this thread moves fast. I was only gone a few days and now I have several pages to try to read. Thank you all for the help with the lavender oil. I had searched the web, but couldn't find specific instructions. I find it interesting that when I tested the olive oil with lavender on one side of my face, that side did not get oily by the end of...

ARCHIVED Do You Need The Gelatin?WW340 replied to celiac-mommy's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips I think I know which recipe you are trying to make and it is our favorite. I have always made it exactly as the recipe calls for. If it is the recipe I think it is, then it already uses powdered milk, so I would suggest trying the egg whites. If this does not turn out really good, I suggest you find the gelatin and try it again. You will probably...

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!WW340 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications I bought essential lavender oil yesterday, but then I read it needs to be diluted. Any ideas on how to dilute it? I would like to mix it with olive oil if possible. How cute. It sounds like you better start saving money now for her future make up habit, lol. BTW - I used pure olive oil yesterday as a moisturizer. I may have used too...

ARCHIVED Fabulous French Bread RecipeWW340 replied to WW340's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips yes, Jan, you can use tapioca starch. It is the same thing as tapioca flour. That is not true for other flours however. Potato flour is not the same as potato starch, corn starch is not the same as corn flour. It can all be a little confusing.

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!WW340 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications I am so glad to hear someone else gets this stuff on their computer, lol. I will have to take mine apart soon and blow out all the EM dust. Sounds like fun. I am glad to hear someone likes the Plumb Dust blush - I have it and the lip gloss in my next order. Good luck on getting your order today. I wish I could too...

ARCHIVED Fabulous French Bread RecipeWW340 replied to WW340's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips Homesteadmommy - I had one other thought for you. Have you checked the size of your eggs. You need large eggs for the recipe. If yours are not large, I would suggest you add some extra egg white.

ARCHIVED Fabulous French Bread RecipeWW340 replied to WW340's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips Good luck with the bread making. I hope it turns out good for you. If it doesn't do well, try it again using the tapioca flour. I find that tapioca flour really adds a degree of body to the bread you can't get with other flours. Sweet flour might add some of the same properties as tapioca, but still not the same. I try to avoid products made in factories...

ARCHIVED What's In Your Freezer?WW340 replied to missy'smom's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips I keep a lot of the same things you do. I have the Ore-Ida potatoes - French fries, country potatoes and potato O

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!WW340 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications So sorry, I know how you feel. I am hating on DHL right now. Those are great pictures. Thanks for posting those, Mango Wow, I am totally impressed with your fortitude. I hope they have a good special for you. Sorry to hear you are having such bad luck. They should give you your own super special just for all...

ARCHIVED Fabulous French Bread RecipeWW340 replied to WW340's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips mamatide - I don't know if anyone has perfected the times yet. I would suggest you bake it for at least 60 minutes and then try thumping it to see if it sounds hollow. You will need to cover it with foil to keep it from over browning at about 30 minutes or sooner. I have been out of town, so I haven't baked it again yet. I will probably do that today...

ARCHIVED Fabulous French Bread RecipeWW340 replied to WW340's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips Jo Ann - I am happy to hear this bread is working for you, too. Try covering the bread with foil after it starts browning, so it can bake longer without it getting too brown. I put melted butter on the bread before I bake it, but as you found, you can do it afterwards to soften the crust. On the question of the pans - It seems that the professional...

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!WW340 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Well, I waited until 5:20pm yesterday for my order, but I finally had to leave. DHL tracking had shown it as being with the courier all day, but it never came. Now it shows as being scheduled for delivery. I got my last order with regular shipping faster than I have gotten this one with 2nd day delivery. Pox on DHL. I ordered the baby...

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!WW340 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications dlp - thank you, I am keeping my fingers crossed. I may have to delay my departure, lol. juliem - thank you, I hope my order looks as fabulous on me as it does on paper, lol. Thank you, Bellyfat, I will let you know how I like the brush. I decided I needed all the help I could get, so I am trying to get all the right brushes.I hope it looks as...

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!WW340 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications Ok, I guess when EM says shipped, it does not mean it is out the door and on the way. Shipped must mean "we printed the label". Anyway, my order showed "shipped" for 2 days, but the tracking number wouldn't work. Finally, Saturday it showed that it wasn't picked up until 6:00pm Friday evening. I did the 2 day DHL, but now it says it won't be here until...

I have been experimenting a lot with bread recipes lately. This is a recipe I found on the Delphi forums that sounds very interesting. It is on my list to try, but it will be a week or more before I will have a chance to try it. If you try it, let me know what you think. It uses a scant 1/4 tsp of yeast, but is allowed to rise 12 - 18 hours. There...

Jo Ann, I am so sorry, I did not see this yesterday. I posted in the french bread thread I had started as I had said I was going to try this as a regular loaf and post the results. I made a regular sandwich loaf out of this yesterday. It came out very nice. Crunchy on the outside and soft in the center, just like the french bread loaf. I did not...

ARCHIVED Fabulous French Bread RecipeWW340 replied to WW340's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips I made this as a regular sandwich loaf today and it came out very nice. Hubby and I both liked it. I mixed it as per the recipe in the stand mixer first, and then let it rise and bake in the bread machine. When I get my bread machine fixed I will try doing the whole thing in the bread machine. Celiac-mommy - I am glad you are enjoying this bread as...

ARCHIVED Packaged Breads Vs. Packed MixesWW340 replied to elmuyloco5's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips I have not found any premade breads that I liked for sandwiches. The mixes are far better than anything you can buy off the shelf or frozen. Pamela's and Breads from Anna were the best mixes I found. These made a decent edible bread. I didn't care for the gluten free pantry bread mixes, but a lot of people like them and they are easy and can be bought...

ARCHIVED Everyday Minerals - Great gluten-free Mineral Make-up!WW340 replied to Mango04's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications I went ahead and ordered. I want it here before I go out of town next week. I was just happy to see a special at this point. It included things that I would not have ordered, so who knows I might like them. I didn't seem to do so great at picking things out myself, lol.
