  1. Was that a symptom of you eating gluten or because of the anxiety and stress?
  2. I am not talking about those symptoms, Nini. Lots of people get the anxiety and seizures but how many of us hear voices and harm other people? They shouldn't have mixed it in with her other problems.
  3. I thought it was going to really be about Celiacs and not a bunch of stuff happening to someone who also finds out she and her baby have it. I think the show will confuse people about what are symptoms are.
  4. Well, I want to know how many of us have had those complications?
  5. Who else is disappointed?
  6. Yes, I don't think the main family has anything to do with Celiacs.
  7. I think that there is no reason you have to start eating meat in order to be healthy. You could cut out some of your soy like maybe the milk. I personally would not start eating meat.
  8. I have been lactose intolerant since I was litte and it has gotten worse even though I have been gluten-free for a few years.
  9. Can we please stick to the question at hand and not let this topic get out of control or discuss how bad or good birth control pills may be? Thank you.
  10. I have a classmate who is a line cook at Ruby Tuesdays and he told me that I would be better off not eating there. I trust him because he has been interested in what I can and can't eat and doesn't want me to get sick.
  11. I went to Red Robin while in Portland, Oregon and I didn't expect anything special. However, when we told them my situation they had a waiter come over who knew how to handle Celiacs. He stuck with us the whole night even though we were't in his section. He said I could even have fries! That usually makes me wary but he was confident that I would not...
  12. There isn't much in Atlanta to eat at. Do a search on here to find a few threads about this city.
  13. I was diagnosed with only a blood test and it is enough. After my brother had his blood test, he then had the biopsy and both were positive. That only further confirms my results since this disease is genetic. If the blood test says you have Celiacs and the diet helps you, why have a biopsy? It would just be unneeded then. However, if you feel like you...
  14. Thank you for sharing!
  15. Gillian's Foods has frozen gluten-free pie crusts. My Mother said they were good but not great when I just asked her about how the pie crust tasted. I can't find a picture of them on their website (Open Original Shared Link) but we bought them in the freezer section of Natural Market Place here in Georgia. In the "order" section and found "9" Pie Shell...
  16. I eat Kinnikinnick products pretty much daily and am fine.
  17. I do consider Celiacs to be a disability under the law because it does rule our lives and could be a problem at work and/or school. I do not, however, list it when filling out paper work.
  18. A lot of people are scared of trying new, different, and healthy foods. The majority of my friends and family aren't into trying gluten-free food and think it's bad even before trying it. However, the people who are most accepting are the people who love trying new things. I have a handful of friends and cousins who are always asking to try my food or...
  19. I am in my third year of college (and a vegetarian, too) but was diagnosed at the end of my senior year in high school. You might want to try making your own food before eating in the cafeteria. Your school, by law, has to make it so that you can eat- either by cooking in your room or providing help with cooks at the school. Don't take eating less than...
  20. I take a freezer pack with me to work for the car rides and use a napkin on the table, too. No one thinks twice about it, really. We have a refrigerator and I have been very pleased with how no one touches anyone elses food, so, I have started placing things in there during the day. If he can use their fridge that will be nice. Just make sure you talk...
  21. When I was in the drug isle I called numbers on the backs of bottles and found out which were gluten-free and gave them my address to get a list of all the products each company had that are gluten-free plus coupons.
  22. I only had a blood test but my brother had both to become diagnosed Celiacs.
  23. I think the food is great, too. Their croutons are so yummie.
