  1. There are lnks between Celiacs and Diabetes. She does sound like she could have Celiacs and if no than for sure some food allregy, and it's good for you to get her tested.
  2. It's always best to call the number and ask the company and if that product is not glutenfree than they can tell you what products of theirs are.
  3. Therapy is something that everyone diagnosed with Celiacs should go through. Anti-anxiety pills are useful, too, but maybe not in this case. Just wait it out and see what happens. It culd be anything. Changes in the weather, bacteria levels, a virus, or just you being a lil sick.
  4. I do not know but it is always best to call the company. They should be able to tell you all of their gluten-free products!
  5. You don't have to get tested but some people need the diagnosis like for school or work and such. If you feel fine on the diet than stick with it. There are other tests that you can do without going back on gluten. I think Enterolab is one but I am not sure. Good luck!
  6. Open Original Shared Link "*The above products do not contain gluten nor casein; however, they are produced on the same line as our products that do contain gluten and casein. Although the lines are washed between batches, a slight residue may remain on the lines. Individuals who are extremely sensitive may be affected. " No one in my family eats Frito...
  7. I know what you mean. I find that I would rather have them stick than use oil or a spray, my personal preference I guess. My brother complains about it but hey if he wants them not to stick he can make them himself! Anyway, some oil or a non-stick spray does work well with muffins or brownies and such.
  8. In my family we love Kinnikinnick. Open Original Shared Link My Mom and brother also like Whole Foods Bakery stuff.
  9. I heat the Whole Food ones up in the microwave and they taste like the biscuits at Red Lobster (minus the cheese and seasoning). They don't taste cold.
  10. Also request salads to be done in a new clean bowl.
  11. Some state laws do not allow that to be done. It depends on your area.
  12. I have never seen it on their big ones and I don't think they could be made on the same lines as the little ones.
  13. Answers: 1. sex: Female. 2. age: 19. 3. ethnic group: Caucasian. 4. age at which you were diagnosed: 17. 5. How did you feel when you were diagnosed? I felt glad to know the problem. 6. Did you have health problems in childhood? Yes. 7. How well do you maintain a gluten-free diet? X I absolutely never eat gluten __ I very rarely eat gluten that...
  14. "Daily oral administration of the drug, beginning before the onset of auto-immunity in the diabetic prone rats, cut the incidence of the disease by two-thirds, and completely blocked the development of autoimmune antibodies in the treatment responders."" So, since it is targeted agains diabetes and celiacs it would be preventing rather than curing. This...
  15. That is so strange that they had never heard of it. Did you complainto the manager? I would contact someone because it a chain wide policy of gluten-free menus. Sometimes I find waiters who are clueless but usually the manager is on top of it. Outback isn't the cheapest palce and they should be on top of things. How very unacceptable. On another...
  16. Even though it can't do you intestines damage you could still have some type of reaction. Like you said the burning. Just like with make up and lotions. It's an allergic reaction, rather.
  17. I liked how Bloom's Delicatessen Cafe had fries.
  18. I love going to Manhattan! There are loads of good places to go! Here is a write up I did of some I have been to: Open Original Shared Link I don't eat out of breakfast usually. I am a morning fruit eater but I think you'll like the places I talked about. Enjoy! Kristina
  19. The mini ones usually only have wheat in them at holidays. I always check before buying and only encountered it at holiday time.
  20. I take Acidophelous (sp?). I have been taking it awhile so I don't remember what it was like first taking it. It's a probiotic.
  21. Even if you don't react you still cause damage. If you eat a slice of wheat bread and don't react does that mean you can say it's glutenfree but not if your sensitive? Sure, that may be an extreme but glutenfree should be glutenfree not glutenfree to those who aren't sensitive.
  22. celiac3270 listed all the ones I have been to. There are so many. Plus, when you go to one they can point you in other places!
  23. Do you need a positive result for something? If not you can still eat glutenfree since it makes you feel better. You could always have the biopsy, too.
  24. Even though you have Celiacs it doens't mean you have to exclude youself from being around wheat and gluten. If you take the right steps like Richard said about washing hand and maybe wearing a mask you should be fine. If you worked in a regular bakery you could still work ther but would have to wear glovers, watch what goes in your mouth, and such.
