    The times I have asked about my meds being gluten-free they have been super and tell me everything that's in it and if they don't know they make phone calls to find out. I guess it's just up to Pharmacist. . .if they had a bad day or are in a mood.

    I live just north of Atlanta and my brother and mother (who both have celiacs) eat pretty often at our local Longhorns. The manager is really helpful with them, too! A gluten-free menu would be awesome to have, especially since it will educate the staff just a little but more. I am always afraid of the whole croutons thing and them just taking them off...

    Yes, Waffle House (down here in The South) is good as long as you watch them! Sometimes they use the same rags with everything and let things touch, so watch. McDonalds is good, too.     Even if you don't have Celiacs it doesn't mean you can't do the diet. . .kinda like how some people do't eat meat or animal products even though they could if they wanted. Do what you want to do and put what you want into your body.

    What is it when I wear gluten make up or shampoo and get red burnign eyes and itchyness and burned scalp? Can we have allergic AND celiac symptoms to gluten?

    I had reactions as soon as I was on formula. . .so my mom had to find a special one (this was 19 years go). You should really talk to your doctor about when to test.

    Just because you don't injest it doesn't mean you won't have a reaction. I don't know about those ones but I had the meningitis shot and did have a reaction to it. It wasn't too bad (rash, burning, redness, and swelling) but lasted a week or two and the doctor saidto only be concerned if I felt dizzy. Just be careful about what is put in your body...

    They could of had put something on the turkey or crosscontaminated it with somehting else ot like you said with the stuffing. Plus, it was from a restaurant and that's always iffy.

    The bakery isn't at the stores. . .it's by them shipped to them. Maybe you should ask for them to recieve shimpments?

    You can be gluten-free and still test possitive. There are other ways to test for celiac disease introlab (sp?) and biopsy. I would test everyone since my brother didn't have symptoms when I was tested but had them a year after and as a child. The same with my mother. I was diagnosed through blood and my brother through blood and bipsy. . .my mothers...

    Ours had a grand opening just a few weeks ago and my mom and brother are always bring goodies home from there (even though they are terribly expensive)!

    Even if she didn't get sick from gluten your family should respect the way you raise your child. If you said no sugar or no meat then that should be that. Your rules. The fact is that a little bit of gluten will make her sick and since she is so small you have set the rule that she can have no gluten. I don't get wy people have issues with others not...
