  1. Try fish before red meats.
  2. Well, I don't think any of the bottles that I use list ingredients....but I do love my perfume. When I look for ingredients what should I be looking for...I'm assuming it's not going to say "WHEAT"
  3. This is my subject! Okay I had mine out 6 months ago....4-21-07. The first thing I would like to research is if it could be related to Celiac Disease in any way, since it is a part of the intestine. As for recovery - it depends on if you had open or laproscopic. My doctor did open and I could have killed him for it. It took a month to start getting...
  4. I aven't looked at the ingredients but I did get the aftermath of my boyfriends cologne in my mouth and I was thinking I hope this doesn't have gluten in it. Any thoughts?
  5. Oversleeping can also be an issue, and how is your sugar and caffeine intake? Some people abuse these to get energy but it really wears your body down more than it helps you. So if you are using a lot of caffiene and sugar, rethink that one. See if maybe you're sleeping too much by trying to take it down a few notches to 9 hours a night, then 8 hours a night...
  6. I've felt that, I'm not sure of whether or not I've been glutened because I haven't ingested something with gluten in it for sure, but I've had the symptoms so I'm thinking maybe I touched something bad before I ate. I also get it sometimes when I am just daydreaming because I'm still trying to cope with the fact that my life is different now. It's a...
  7. I am taking a medicine similar to prilosec, and I was worried that it was making me produce too little acid and making my stomach hurt, so I asked my doctor and she said it's not so much an acid reducer as a balancer, and so it would be very strange for it to make me produce too little stomach acid....
  8. That is awesome! And hilarious!
  9. I'm not sure about Dannon, I bet someone else could tell you, but I do know that Yoplait and Walmart both say GLUTEN FREE on the cup....Do those contain pectin? I'm assuming that's why you want the Dannon specific.
  10. I personally don't think it's related to Celiac Disease.... But I'm also wondering what "shwantz" is and where that word comes from...never heard it before.
  11. I really don't believe that on Thanksgiving you should be cooking for people when you can't eat the food. If you are the cook, make it gluten free! If someone else is cooking then you should probably bring things that you can't eat because it can cause a lot of controversy to try and make everyone around you change. (Celiac Disease is very hard for the people...
  12. Maybe you could buy a vegetarian cookbook. There are tons of them, and even if you aren't going to be a full-on vegetarian, it would have lots of good ideas and recipies and you could always add a meat to those dishes. Stay healthy!
  13. I second schotzy. DRINK MORE WATER! Add lots of fruits, bananas can be constipating....but juicy fruits are great, especially made into a smoothie. I have constipation also, but I just tell myself when it gets painful that it is better than having unpredictable diarrhea....(no offense to those of you who do...) Best of luck, I'll let you know if...
  14. Okay I'm 3 months into it also. My doctor's have doubted that my enterolab results are true about me having Celiac Disease, but I am sticking with it - just gluten free/dairy free for 6 months...then I will look into eliminating the others...like soy, rice, or corn products... I would recommend waiting it out. The majority of people I have met took around...
  15. Let me start off by saying....I don't like this sensation of dissolving under the tongue. It just makes me bringe, and I don't know why. BUT, I got Nature's Bounty sublingual dots, and it says let dissolve 30 seconds before swallowing. First, does that mean that I can't swallow any of the juices that are coming off, or just don't swallow the actual...
  16. I found a recipe in our supermarkets magazine, I really wanted to break the mold of the traditional meal as it is not completely Celiac-Friendly...I also think this will help me with the coping, this is about new beginnings which means new traditions for me. So, this is "Roasted Cornish Hens with Apple, Date, and Almond Stuffing: 2 tbsp unsalted butter...
  17. I wish I had friends like you. I've got one, my boyfriend, who I love very much and wouldn't be here without. He saves my life everyday by loving me and supporting me, but we were thinking about our wedding...which will be coming up here in a couple years...and we can't think of people to have as our bridal party. I want my mom to be my maid-of-honor because...
  18. Which one's gluten free? Does it taste bad? I don't like things dissolving in my mouth, just one of those things I find gross... Anyway, I can shop at Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, and there are some health food stores around here....so if ya'll could offer up some gluten free brands that those places might carry, I need it, I'm having all the symptoms of...
  19. Me too! I use zofran for nausea and take some pepto if the pain is really bad. You will have to talk with your doctor about getting zofran, but I would use pepto until you do, it should help with the pain, nausea, and indigestion. I also just try to drink a lot of water. I have the problem with constipation too. I drink smoothies with I feel bad. Bolthouse...
  20. I don't think that I have been glutened but I just got hit hard with depression. I have been under very much pressure lately, so I think I was letting it build up and now that my life is slowing down reality is sinking in. I just feel so much like this disease has taken over my life, every aspect of it, and outwarly I try to pretend like I see the positives...
  21. I saw that Zofran was gluten free on glutenfreedrugs.com, but I am taking the generic of it and so I called Par Pharmaceuticals and they said there is no gluten in it, and it is not made on lines that are used with gluten products, so as of 10-31-2007 both those are gluten free if anyone needed to know! It's so helpful when I get nauseated.
  22. Answer to 3-5 3. I have the kitchen seperated and to also answer number 4, I didn't trust things like wooden utensils and non stick pans so I just went to Walmart and got the cheapest new things I could, of everything....Toasters, Pans with scratches are very very important. I got a toaster oven because it makes me a lot more comfortable that my toast...
  23. Anyone know the number, it's not on my bottle and I searched "equate" and "equate + walmart" on google and didn't find anything...
  24. Oh my gosh, envirokids makes a cereal called Gorilla Munch that is exactly like Kix but even sweeter I love them and eat some everyday! (Sorry if someone already said that, I'm in a hurry so I couldn't read all the previous replies)
