I'm really sorry. Do you live in the Tuscon area? Maybe you could e-mail corporate office or even the local RR and request that they get the buns??????
-
Yes, and it was amazing. The manager told me that had a regular fryer and a non-allergen fryer just for fries. Judy3, I hope that works out well for you...

So after all of the complaining I did about RR, I have to confess.....I called the local RR today and they said they do have the dedicated fryer and Udi's buns. I took my daughter to lunch there and it was fabulous! The only bloat I got was from being completely full of an amazing hamburger. Pretty spendy so that won't happen often but it is nice to have...

ARCHIVED Allergic Reactions To Toothpaste?
silk replied to silk's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
???? Did you mean to say deficiency? My daughter has been taking B12..... -
For months now I have been plagued by mouth sores and ulcers, and what appears to be thrush. I also have mild asthmatic attacks after brushing my teeth every day...coughing to the point of gagging and throwing up. Using the inhaler seems to help. A couple of days ago a light bulb went off and I wondered if I was reacting to toothpaste, so I switched brands...

All very excellent advice. Wouldn't it be great to write a 'best of' book for newbies? -
ARCHIVED Two Questions
silk posted a topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Question #1: I am not sure if this has anything to do with Celiac/gluten but I have noticed in the past year or so that when I brush my teeth, especially first thing in the morning, I have what seems to be a small asthmatic reaction and I think it is to the mint in the toothpaste. My throat gets really irritated and I cough to the point of gagging most... -

ARCHIVED A Celiac Destination Wedding?
silk replied to Chanahan-6's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Congratulations! If you are looking for someplace warm, I have heard that the Sandals resort in Jamaica is good with gluten-free. I also have friends who have done a Disney cruise recently and as they would love for my husband and I to join them sometime, they checked out the accommodations for gluten-free and found that they were good as well. -
ARCHIVED What's For Breakfast Today?
silk replied to GlutenFreeManna's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I had the same thing! Added a couple of little smokies with my husband's homemade BBQ sauce. I love leftovers for brekkie and would eat them any day over something sweet. I had a bowl of choco chex today, which I almost never do, and now I know why. Hate the sweet aftertaste that the sugar leaves in my mouth. -
What you are experiencing post DX is what we all have experienced. You are not on a diet. That would indicate that what you are doing is temporary and we all know that is not true. You are experiencing a Paradigm Shift. "Think of a Paradigm Shift as a change from one way of thinking to another. It's a revolution, a transformation, a sort of metamorphosis...

Irishheart, I get the sense that you feel that this conversation was directed at or about you????? I assure that is not the intent or the case here. I was agreeing with regard to the information given to my daughter by her classmate. I am sorry if you got the wrong impression. -
ARCHIVED gluten-free Pizza Delivery In Kansas City!
silk replied to KellyM's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
I love Waldos! My family and I came to KC for the Royals/Red Sox game this summer and ate at Waldo's. We were in heaven. So many delicious options from the salad to dessert and they carry 6 different types of gluten-free beer. So........do you suppose there would be a delivery fee if I called and placed an order for delivery to Lincoln, Nebraska? -

I would agree with you that it does not matter whether it makes you noticeably ill or not. The end result is the same. My daughter came home from high school one day all excited because another student who has Celiac told her that she has some pill that she takes when she wants to eat gluten so that she does not get sick. I have no idea what the girl was... -
I plan to have him try it. At this point, I believe he's willing to try anything

Catsmeow, this is amazing news. I am so happy for you! I am wondering if this works with seasonal allergies as well given that many of them would be considered 'airborne'? Also, my husband is going through an episode of IBS...can't stay out of the potty. I don't think he has Celiac but I do wonder if he is reacting to some type of food intolerance. I...

ARCHIVED Trader Joe's gluten-free Cookies
silk replied to silk's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Ours are in the same place but there were toxic products right along with them. I had to very carefully read the packaging to find the little 'g' symbol for gluten free. When I am in a hurry, I don't have the time to sift through all of the merchandise to find things that are safe for me to eat so I don't shop at TJ's very often. Also, while they may be... -

If you check out my post from yesterday regarding the CC issue at local grocery store under the 'coping with' thread, you might consider that the CC may have happened on the package rather that in it. I did notice that the gluten-free cookies at TJ's are all place together with toxic products right next to them. That is one issue that I have with TJ... -

ARCHIVED Trader Joe's gluten-free Cookies
silk posted a topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Has anyone else tried Trader Joe's gluten-free Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies? They were recommended to me by an employee who does not have gluten issues but said he buys them because they taste so great. And they do! I am not a cookie fan at all but bought some for my daughter to try and I decided to taste them too. OMG! They taste as good as the real...
