  1. I refer to them as bunny scat. I once knew a "head of household" who decreed that two sheets of tp was the maximum allowed. I said I bet he shat bunny scat. Never heard of the big D!!
  2. I just shook, and then jetstream blew all the crumbs out of my keyboard because the keys were getting stuck or not working. Anyone would think I ate at my computer Tannyrate, I now have enough crumbs to make a pie crust and start the process all over again And I can keyboard faster. Talk about a win, win, win situation.
  3. I did a phlipover about the time Venice phlooded..... (kept it quiet because Venice always phloods)
  4. Now that is an interesting way of handling noodles -- I'm going to try that next time!
  5. Sadly, doctors receive no training in connecting dots (not even as children, I believe - they are too busy playing doctor!). They are trained to look at symptoms in isolation, and then trained by the drug companies to look up a drug that will treat that symptom, regardless of its causation. The more symptoms, the more drugs you take, the more doctor visits...
  6. With all due respect to any gastroenterologists in the world who deserve it, from what I have seen and heard most of them have very little knowledge about celiac disease, and these are the ones who should have knowledge. They are all really "up" on ulcerative colitis and Crohn's and any other digestive tract disorder you care to name, especially those requiring...
  7. You couldl perhaps print out this article and either read it to your kids or tell them about it -- Open Original Shared Link -- As it is often said, everything in moderation. Too much of a good thing is too much of a good thing but good things, in and of themselves, are not bad.
  8. Speaks to me, too. On the airline, breakfast beverage cart arrives, coffee?? tea?? (always with loads of caffeine because they want to wake you up and get you outta there!) or juice?? nope, not that either, I always ask for the sparkling wine -- oh, how they hate to open that if still corked -- and those in the vicinity all look at this lush who is having...
  9. Hey, Loey, how ya feeling, gal? I hope that things are going well for you, that everyone remembers your special days and sends you bunches of flowers and boxes of chocolates (with all your favorites) forevver. You deserve them!
  10. GMO = Genetically Modified Organism Most common modification is to make crop "round-up ready", i.e., immune to Round-up.
  11. You mean another basically non-competitive environment??? Ye Gods, I hate it when everyone buys everyone else up and then they do what they durned well please. And then when your banks come over here and buy up all our banks, and then buy each other up - well, now I'm looking for another bank again!! (third time)
  12. No worries! Grammer-fixin' is one of my specialties.
  13. Drop it Like it's Hot - Snoop Dogg
  14. I think it is about time that Coles moved over here!! We have little/no competition between Woolies dba Countdown, and Foodstuffs, dba New World and their budget line Pak 'n Save. And the prices are outrageous -- for everything!

  20. Just a reinforcement, to continue to eat gluten at least until you get your blood test results because you may be referred to a GI for an endoscopy with biopsy, and the same gluten-eating rules apply.
  21. This is so true!!! I cannot count the number of times I have mentioned digestive problems to doctors and the response was always to suggest an acid inhibitor. I have never had acid indigestion in my life, but none of them ever hear this part!! Everyone has acid indigestion, surely??? I have always taken simethicone to break up the gas that is my indigestion
  22. If you really felt the need to cook something you could do a cranberry sauce.
  23. Street Rats - Ted Nugent
  24. Many of us on the forum have in the past, myself included, been somewhat scathing about the help rendered to celiacs by dieticians, and their lack of knowledge of the celiac diet in general. Now, while I know there are many out there who are pretty useless, I wanted to single out for praise a couple of hospital dieticians who who were able to cater...
