ARCHIVED Agave Nectar
moldlady replied to blondebombshell's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
I didn't know that Mexico was the major producer! Funny! Thanks for the correction. I thought maybe the plant grew mainly in tropical areas. What do I know, I'm just a moldlady -
psipsina, I posted 5 or 6 recipes on one of these threads that had to do with candida. Maybe you can find them? Is there a way to search all of my posts to find it easier? I have plenty more but I don't want to bore people. If you get really desperate give me a private email in the p.m. part of this and I will send you a ton of stuff if you are interested...

ARCHIVED Agave Nectar
moldlady replied to blondebombshell's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Hi Julie, Agave Nectar is a sweetener that is natural and happens to be very low on the glycemic index and therefore should not feed the fungus. I don't think it works well with heat however. I think someone told me not to heat it or it will destroy the sweetness. I could be wrong on that so I hope someone will correct me. I buy mine at the local... -
I'm so sorry that you have had to go through so many surgeries and they have left one of them open to drain. I think you have figured out what you must do to be well in the eating department. Listen to your body and I will pray that you will have record healing time and maybe you can avoid that last surgery. I just talked to a fellow today that...

ARCHIVED Yeast Overgrowth Vs. 'systematic Candida'
moldlady replied to lorka150's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
He said you were stuck with the bad bacteria the rest of your life.??? I don't believe that. GEt some oregano oil that will kill off fungus and bad bacteria. The resupply the body with good probiotics. And just keep pumping that stuff into your system! If you feel better after giving up the gluten then that's great! On the road to recovery already... -

ARCHIVED Omg...i Might Be On To Something
moldlady replied to Rachel--24's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I'm sorry I can't remember who posted about stones, this but a hot cup of water with a 1/2 fresh lemon squeezed into it is a great morning starter. It takes some getting used to but cleanses the liver and kidneys very well. -
psipsina, I get this way too sometimes. I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. It comes with being toxic, die off, etc. When ever I increase my antifungal dosesages, I sometimes feel this way. It is die off. This is when I hop into the tub and take a detox bath and it makes me feel so much better. Get those toxins and dead skin outta here!! Then...

This is very interesting indeed! We have "shakes" on both sides of the family and I started getting them only when I need to do something small and most accurate!! When I started eating a plant based diet, with no sugars, limited fruits, no gluten, these shakes went away. Other members of my family thought I was nuts and they still shake at those...

Keep posting on how you are doing......... or if you have any other questions. Remember that these things take time when you have been sick for a long time. Glad to be of any help to anyone as I have suffered for 20 + years and have avoided surgeries and further complications.... Sometimes I look at that as a victory in itself. moldlady

psipsina, Wow. You are quite the writer. It seems like you are on the right track and know what to do. If you have never tried unrefined coconut oil before and are extremely fungal you might get some die off the first time. Just to know...... and not be too scared. Detox baths can be very cheap and really help the liver to detox. a cup of each one...

ARCHIVED Yeast Overgrowth Vs. 'systematic Candida'
moldlady replied to lorka150's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Mama, Oh yeah those sugar cravings will really feed the fungus and mess up your immune system. Try and get off of that slowly as you will start to feel differently until your body adjusts. Try and substitute something healthy to snack on that will not do this. Grapefruit, blueberries, etc. Carrot sticks... but not too many of those. Just to get you... -
I read what Florence said and it made a lot of sense..... Paula, Most of the antifungals on the market are not that strong and you should not feel really bad with them. I take some herbs that are really strong and they do cause die off effects. ... only for extreme cases... Oregano oil capsules seems to pack a mild punch. Try taking one a day...

ARCHIVED Yeast Overgrowth Vs. 'systematic Candida'
moldlady replied to lorka150's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Hmmmm.... Seems to me that the diflucan is not enough. Get some really good antifungals to take the rest of the time. You must stop feeding the fungus.... no sugars or it will just keep coming back. Basically, the plan is to starve the fungus and then to kill it off with antifungals and then put good bacteria in its place. Feeling bad can be a reaction... -

dbmamma, Sometimes going gluten free will take care of yeast infections and inflammations. Get some good probiotics in there to re establish natural flora. Make sure it is human types. Natren has the best. I don't know how much diflucan you are getting but it sounds like major die off reaction. Go slow at the beginning to take it easy on your system... -
Jason, I wish it were that easy. If one has celiac problems it takes time to heal the gut. If one has heavy metal issues that gut lining will take years to heal even if you detox. You may be one of the lucky ones in that staying off the gluten and pumping with human probiotics for another solid month might work for you. You will never completely...

Hi Paula, Good for you to eat some blueberries. When they are frozen it is not too bad. I usually eat about a 1/2 cup of them. I get really big ones from TJs but small ones from Walmart. So, it all depends. They will not feed the fungus and will help move the mycotoxins out of your system naturally. The chemicals in the breakdown of the blueberries...

ARCHIVED Yeast Overgrowth Vs. 'systematic Candida'
moldlady replied to lorka150's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
Your statements are a bit vague to me but I will try. The overgrowth of bacteria concerns me. Was it good bacteria or bad bacteria? Did they find any yeast/fungus overgrowth? From what I've read, one has to be eating gluten for a while and then have the test in order to show a positive. You went off the glutin and then the test showed nothing. If you... -

ARCHIVED Additives To Avoid
moldlady replied to Jimmy1964's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
Citric acid is not a problem in terms of gluten issues but it is a problem of fungus and mycotoxins. Most people think that the citric acid used in food preserving is from citrus fruits. Years ago that may have been the case but very expensive and most used vinegar instead. Now, you see citric acid as preservative in everything. What changed? Well... -

ARCHIVED Yeast Overgrowth Vs. 'systematic Candida'

Great Advice April, I was on diflucan for a month but unfortunately I did not know about the diet at the time and it did not cure me. If I'd known about the diet, I think I would have been cured. I also had prescriptions for nystatin at the same time to clear the intestines. The nystatin does not go into the blood stream but the diflucan does. Since... -
In a pinch, you can get the AC in tablets at the pharmacy of almost any store... Osco, etc. in the intestinal area... along with laxatives, for gas, etc. I'd like to see you get some fiber with the fruit so it slows down the absorption rate so you don't feed any fungus. Make it in the blender with a bit of lemon and stevia to sweeten and eat it like apple...

Paula, Sorry I didn't get this on quick enough. This old dial up is a real pain and I'm getting to the point where I'm tired of that brown cow from the add staring at me all the time.. If you do not like blueberries, cranberries will do the same. I mentioned blueberries because they are naturally a bit sweeter. If you go the cranberry route you...

Paula, If you feed the fungus while you are starving it, it will come back. Right now you feel bad because you are starving the fungus and when it dies off, it releases mycotoxins. They can be absorbed by blueberries, or activated charcoal, or doing a detox. bath. The detox bath will pull the toxins out through the skin. The blueberries and AC will...

Hi Staci, Well, I gave up my midnight hard boiled eggs and after 3 nights I'm finally sleeping good. So, I guess we can train our bodies after all. I posted some more recipes on the candida thread if you want to check those out. I made some of them up myself and one my Dad made up. Help yourself and hopefully we can eat well and be satisfied. It does... -

ARCHIVED Uggghh...you Guys
moldlady replied to imsohungry's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
Hi Julie, Oh, I've made many a mistake trying to cook a different way!! Argh!! I have some rice noodles and they are supposed to soak in cold water for 10 min. Then softened noodles into boiling water for 5 minutes. I don't know if you did something similar or not. During the cooking process I often will test a piece to see if it is still too thick... -
Hi April, You seem like you are very motivated and doing things very right! You go girl! I'm eating right too and taking the antifungals. Working out like at the gym stuff not too much. It seems I labor so much these days just doing normal things and get fagged out. Today, I'm taking it easy after a whole weak of really working hard on diet and work...
