  1. I've used Gifts of Nature and Cream Hill Estate brand oatmeal with no problem. Hope they are OK for you, too.
  2. The actual test itself was no problem for me. I was out like a light. But I did have a pretty scary reaction to the prep the night before. I thought my husband was going to have to take me to the emergency room. I had to take Miralax and Dulcolax. When I told the doctor the next day she said some of her other patients had a bad reaction to the Dulcolax...
  3. Thanks for posting, Lisa. Another 'safe' company to add to my growing list.
  4. Dove and Suave brand will clearly label if any of their lotions contain gluten ingredients. Hope this helps!
  5. I use Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioner. Last time I called, they told me all their shampoos and conditioners were gluten free. Dove shampoo will list any gluten ingredients and I believe Suave does the same. You might want to call and double check on that one though. Suave is very reasonably priced.
  6. Their pizza is delish! I haven't had a 'regular' meal there yet. When I went in to pick up my pizza the other day I was asking the owner if he was selling alot of them and did he think he would continue. He nodded yes and while I was standing there 2 more people came in to pick one up. Business is looking good!
  7. No more Restless Leg Syndrome!!! YEAH!!! It was getting to the point where my family couldn't even sit on the couch with me at night to watch TV. I couldn't hold my legs still. And forget about a movie or concert....it was toture. I am much happier now.
  8. You didn't do this just for me did you!!!??? Thanks, Rissa! Hope things are on the mend.
  9. I believe it's the new Fruit Sensation line they came out with that has the gluten-free turkey medallions.
  10. Thank you all for your support! And Puddy and Nasalady, I'm sorry about the dinner menus! I have sort of crapped out in general lately. Mondays, I'm writing and moderating a book club for The High Calling Blogs, plus doing a home school co-op and a Bible study. I about snapped my husband's head off for suggesting that low bone density might be caused...
  11. I've used Lactaid milk and Lactaid pills for several years and they work very well for me. After a year gluten free, I did try experimenting to see if I still needed them. Some people lose their lactose intolerance after being gluten free for a while, but I wasn't one of the lucky ones. I've never had a problem with them. Good luck to your son!
  12. Hi RissaRoo! I'm so sorry to hear about your osteopenia. You haven't been having a very good year so far, have you?! I also have osteopenia in 2 of my vertebrae and osteoporosis in another, but surprisingly my hip measurement is fine. Discovering that is what started this 'wonderful' odyssey into the world of Celiac Disease! I was on Boniva for...
  13. I visited my sister in Durham last September and we ate at a Carrabba's one night. I'm not sure of the exact location. It was close to Duke though because we went for a ride there after dinner.
  14. Just as an aside......the YouTube video is still up and I watched it about 20 minutes ago.
  15. It's applied to your face and is on your hands, so it may inadvertently get into your mouth....especially with children.
  16. I believe all of Banana Boat's sunscreens are gluten free. That was what I used last year, but you might want to recheck this year since formulas change.
  17. I use Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser every day and have never been glutened by it. I used it from the first day of my diagnosis and at my last doctor's visit, my celiac blood panel was perfect.
  18. Thank you so much for the birthday wishes, eeyore. I appreciate it very much.

  19. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  20. My hair was thinning from about age 42 on, but I just chalked it up to getting older. I've been gluten-free a little over a year now and I've noticed it getting thicker again. I think it had to do with my nutritional deficiencies since I wasn't absorbing vitamins correctly.
  21. You would be able to walk into any restaurant and never need to ask for a special menu or have prolonged, detailed conversations with the waiters or chefs about the ingredients in your meal!
  22. Face Soap - Cetaphil Body Wash - Dial Liquid Soap Hand Soap - Soft Soap Shampoo - Garnier Fructis Lotion - Suave & Vaseline Intenstive Care Dish Detergent - Dawn Dishwasher Detergent - Electrasol Laundry Detergent - Tide Cleaning Products - Windex, Comet, Soft Scrub, Clorox Green I love posts like this. Sometimes you find out products that...
  23. You might be on to something, Rice Guy! If this gets out to the world, every little girl is going to want pink pasta for dinner....LOL. Can you market it? I agree with the beet theory. I use Tinkyada all the time with tomato sauce and it's never turned pink. I like the sound of it though!
  24. Hi Roda! I also am not overly sensitive. I was diagnosed because of severe anemia, osteoporosis and lactose intolerance. I did have stomach 'problems' when I was younger, but haven't had any for 25 years. I had the Celiac panel redone after 6 months on the gluten-free diet and my numbers were all normal. I am very conscientious with the diet, but have...
