  1. Rissa...I think you should publish a cookbook. How does this sound....Gluten Free Dinners for Dummies or 365 Yummy Gluten Free Dinners or maybe Rissa's Recipes? You're the best!
  2. SANTA FE RICE AND BEANS???!!! YEAH!!! That was my favorite Weight Watcher meal for lunch and I missed it. I'm on my way to the store now. Thanks Neesee! I'm so excited.
  3. I, too, handle gluten items with no problem. But like Momma Goose, I am very careful to wash my hands and wipe up crumbs.
  4. You know I was going to reply to your comment about throwing the waffle in the trash, but it's really not worth my time
  5. No it's not just you. I didn't care for them either. And I don't think they like me. I didn't feel well after eating them the first and last time.
  6. No problem with vinegar here either.
  7. I take Nature Made, also. And GlutenGalAZ is right about the Centrum. They gave me the same answer in April when I called. Their Canadian website says they are gluten-free, but the American one does not so steer clear of them at this time.

    ARCHIVED Chili's

Yep, they do have a gluten-free menu with a few items. I ate there a couple weeks ago and had the Baked Potato Soup and Chicken Caesar Salad with no problems. But did stress to the waiter "NO CROUTONS"! Hope you enjoy it!
  9. Yup, they are all gluten-free . Just be careful that they wipe down the slicer in the deli before they slice your Boar's Head products because they may have already sliced another product on it that does contain gluten. I try and get to the store first thing in the morning, so I know the slicers are still clean from the night before.
  10. I was diagnosed in February and have not been glutened yet that I know of. I had blood tests at 1 month and 3 months and my antibodies had dropped significantly so I know I am following the diet correctly. I am the only one in a family of 5 that is gluten-free. I do all the cooking so our dinners are gluten-free, but the rest of the family does eat regular...
  11. I second the magnesium suggestion. Once I started taking calcium with magnesium, I have had no C problems whatsoever.
  12. LOL! This is great!! My sister always loved Poppin' Fresh. I can't wait to get one of these and wear it next time I see her.
  13. MMMMMMM....I love breakfast for dinner. Thanks RissaRoo!
  14. I think the norm is to be tested at 3 months, 6 months and a year, but my dr. retested me after 1 month. When I questioned her about it, she said that if I was doing everything correctly my antibodies would have begun to drop and if I wasn't, she didn't like to wait 3 months to see, because it would be wasting alot of time. And, yes, there was a marked...
  15. I was diagnosed with osteoporosis last November and anemia in January. When the dr. found out I was also lactose intolerant she put all the pieces together. She did the biopsy during an endoscopy to see if I had a bleeding ulcer and it came back positive for celiac. She also drew blood the day of the endoscopy and ran the celiac panel. Otherwise, I had...
  16. I am the only one of the 5 of us in my family that has celiac disease. I do all the cooking so all our dinners are gluten-free. I have my gluten-free counter that no one is allowed to put anything on and a drawer in the fridge with my condiments, etc.. I do allow bread, cereal and pizza that is not gluten-free. I don't think I could afford to have all...
  17. I called the manufacturer about Herbal Essence a couple months ago and they said they couldn't guarantee that some of their ingredients may have become cross contaminated, but don't intentionally add any gluten to their products. I don't care for the way my hair feels using Dove or Suave either, but have had good luck with Garnier Fructis. All their shampoos...
  18. RissaRoo, you are not half as lazy as I am. I don't even try to think of things to cook....I just come on here and copy you! Hope your daughter is feeling much better.
  19. I know there are differing opinions on whether you should cut out dairy the first few months you go gluten-free. Most people seem to think you should until you've healed somewhat and then reintroduce it. That being said, I have been lactose intolerant for the past 30 years but wasn't diagnosed with celiac disease until this past March. I have always handled...
  20. I didn't like the way they announced the bottom 2 guys and girls this week. Usually they bring the final four out on stage and show the clips of their dances and announce who is leaving while they are standing together. Poor Courtney was sitting backstage the other night when she realized that she was in the bottom 2. I felt bad for her....it was kind...
  21. Happy Birthday, Scott! And thank you for this site. You helped me keep my sanity this year!
  22. My original question to Pinnacle was whether their Log Cabin products contain wheat, rye, barley or oats and their response was that there was no gluten in their products. So I'm going to assume there is no barley. But I guess it wouldn't hurt for someone else to ask again if they are worried. All I know is it didn't make me ill when I ate it.
  23. I actually know quite a few people who do not have Celiac Disease and become very ill when they take any kind of codeine medication. I don't think the two are related.
  24. I love this show! I'm watching it right now. I think Comfort and Mark should be the ones to go tonight, but we shall see......
