  1. When I first went gluten free it was several months (close to a year) before I could tolerate soy or dairy products.
  2. Janet, thanks for the advice to add more flour to flat cookies. I'd never thought of that and figured the cookie recipe just wouldn't work. I'll try a few of my recipes again. When I first went gluten-free I didn't have all this great information at my finger tips. I just found a flour blend I liked and tried my old recipes. I use Pamela's pancake and...
  3. I agree with missy'smom about the Bento Box sites! It's not just japanese food that can go into them.
  4. This is so cool. Will spend some more time watching these shows.
  5. This is so cool that you are doing this! I found this article with 3 recipes. Open Original Shared Link
  6. I have the krumkake iron that my grandfather made for my grandmother when they lived in Drammen. It has a beautiful pattern on it of a lion. Years ago, I used my grandmother's krumkake recipe one Christmas. I remember I had to adjust the recipe but they turned out great (of course I didn't take notes). Then we had to replace our stove. We went with a smooth...
  7. See if you can't talk her into buying the cake blanks, then she can just decorate them. Open Original Shared Link
  8. I suggest a shift in your meal thinking. Why do you have to have breakfast type foods in the morning? Since you are saying this is your main meal start eating meat and veggies for breakfast. In reality everyone should eat their biggest meal when they first get up, a medium meal for their second meal and the lightest for dinner. It does take awhile to get...
  9. I wanted to order some See's Chocolate for the Holidays. I wrote to them about 6 p.m. last night, they answered at 9:16 pm. With the following information. They get the seal of approval from me! Denise Becerra <custserv@sees.com> Mon, Dec 8, 2008 at 9:16 PM Thank you for visiting Sees.com. In response to your request for information about...
  10. I've been gluten free for over 5 years so have all my recipes adjusted now. This year I used Flax Seed bread that made the best dressing. No one knew it was gluten free. Turducken (this is a duck stuffed into a chicken that's stuffed into a turkey--with stuffing in each layer, it is boneless and it's wonderful!) Sausage Dressing Corn Bread with Bacon...
  11. I've made this the last four nights. It works great. I used Pamela's Mix, regular milk and mixed in a few tablespoons of chopped nuts (no c-chips). Served it with unsweentened whipped cream. My non-gluten-free dh loves it but dosen't believe it's gluten free. I'd serve this for guests. If you haven't tried this you should.
  12. I have enjoyed the ready made frozen pizza crust from Grandma Ferdon's. My husband and guests can not tell it's gluten free. I put olive oil on the bottom of it so it gets really crispy. There cinnamon rolls are good, the pumpkin and lemon bars are excellent, hot dog and hamburger buns are good and their breads are good. Sorry, I haven't found any excellent...
