  7. What shocks me is that you would not expect such lack of knowledge from this company. They are such strong supporters of the Crohns and Colitis Foundation. Karen

  10. I think by far your best bet would be all the choices you have over at "The Best of Mirielle" on delphi. She has tons of dessert suggestions to choose from..... I know what you mean about feeling old...... Eileen will be 13 this September. Eek! Good Luck! Karen
  11. Naw, she didn't get it back yet. I talked to her on the phone today, she said she was going to try to get a hold of someone's laptop to pop in here....... Hugs. Karen
  12. Hey Radman, I finally got into delphi (was having problems). Anyway, you should be able to find something from the list below that is a "manly" drink! Alcoholic Beverages NOTE:A lot of products may also be listed by "type" i.e. Wines, Vodkas, etc. Almaden Wines (000.000.0000) (vw=05/30/02) (www.almaden.com/faqs/FAQ.htm) Alpine Spiced...

  17. Twice in the last two days I have tried to get into Delphi to check on items for people posting here (alcoholic beverages for radman and medications for another poster), but I can't get in. Once I go to log in, POOF! the whole connection disappears...... Has anyone heard if they were shutting down for maintenance or anything? Can anyone else get in?...
  18. I would suspect that you do indeed have celiac disease. The damage to your intestines quite often is "patchy" and it is quite "hit or miss" as to whether the spots they decide to biopsy are the parts that have the damage or not. I would try the gluten-free diet for a period of three months to see what results you get. I would also cut out dairy at the...
  19. Yep, that's for sure........ lipstick, lip moisturizer, glue on envelopes, stamps.... the list goes on and on.... I swore up and down I was 100% gluten free without a doubt, and the whole time I was taking Gax-X Chewable Tablets for my severe gas. Well, guess what, the chewables contain gluten! I was poisoning myself the whole time! BTW, the softgels...
  20. Oh, don't you worry one bit about that, there are some on this board that "ticking off" is their specialty!! Karen

  22. Shhhhhh!!!!!! Do you suppose he knows how wacky we are by now? Hugs! Karen
  23. I am in the can't really drink anymore camp. Could never stomach beer anyway (of course, now I know why....) but man oh man, was I a vodka girl! Loved my Bloody Caesars (it's a Canadian thing ) until I found out clamato juice contains gluten Tried to get used to wine, but was never a wine connoiseur either! I have found though that I can't...
  24. Welcome Alan, I would like to welcome you to the forum and it's nice to see you have already formed an opinion. I see that you are newly diagnosed. So, you are on the diet for how long, one week? Please do not criticize people who have been to hell and back with this disease who are only trying to share their knowledge in the hope of somebody else...
  25. Hi Radman, The cost of gluten free food is just another obstacle we have to overcome. It is our hope that the more celiac disease becomes known, the more people will be diagnosed. Therefore, there will be an increase in demand for gluten-free food, thereby bringing the cost down. It's just another aspect of the battle to get this disease "out there...
