  6. Yeah... Welcome to the club, Alexa. It's much worse when it is your own family who won't do anything. With such a family history, it must be really frustrating for you. Since I'm not doctor diagnosed, my family acts like it's not real.... I know a gluten-free diet would help them, too. I don't know what to do with them! I just keep trying...

  12. laelfin, Yes, there is a higher incidence of miscarriages with celiac disease.... I experienced more than I wanted! --even being gluten-free for 5 years, and taking vitamins! 15. We bought a Rival Waffle Cone Maker!! It is a lot of fun. And cleans up easily. Now we can have our own waffle cones! (we can't have the storebought ones due to our soy allergy!) It makes really thin cones, bowls, and cookies. It takes practice not to burn them (cook for 20-30 seconds), but they are really yummy! Here is the cone/cookie...

  21. Hi Granny, If the gummyness is due to it not being cooked well enough in the center, then I'd say, "Yes!" That was the main reason that I started baking my rice flour at a lower temperature and slower... If the reason was that it has too much liquid, then... I'd try making it again, at a lower temp. just to see--before I reduced the liquid! ...

  23. Hey! PastorDave, About that grinder.... What kind of grain-to-flour ratio do you get? If you grind 1 cup of rice, how much flour would it make? I've been curious for a while (we live in Arkansas--not a high-income state either! ) Thanks, Connie
  24. Don't worry, Sarah, I know you're not mad at her! Some of the others have sent personal emails that were not as understanding towards her! (But, I understand why they were upset--and they included some great ideas!) I used to be rather "mousey" myself--until I just got tired of it and let loose my tiger! Have a great day! Connie
