  1. has anyone tried this new sweetner? I normally just buy stevia in liquid form, but I'm tempted to give this a try b/c it is a bit cheaper. I looked at the ingredients and it also has erythritol, which disapointed me, but from what I've heard it isnt bad?? Open Original Shared Link
  2. how did you find out my secret?
  3. You are completley right with this. I just wish my doc would be content with the fact that I'm in very good health now (minus an ovarian cyst w/some pms complications) He has only been my doctor for a few months and really doesnt know my background even though I told him and can look at records. It just makes me mad. I stressed to him that all of my symptoms...
  4. thanks. yeah It's definitly not worth it seeing that i am still recovering even after 5 months. If I eat gluten now it will just throw my body off even more. The only thing I can think to do is call the G.I doctor and maybe he can call my primary and it explain to him. I thought the G.I doc was very good (unlike my primary said), I don't see why he wouldnt...
  5. I've been gluten-free since may with OBVIOUS improvement. My primary sent me to a G.I to see about celiac even though I am gluten-free. The G.I said its not worth putting me through the testing for celiac since I've been gluten-free for so long.... I went back to my primary today for a follow-up and he got VERY upset that the G.I refused to test me....

  7. I'm liking the idea of butternut cashew also!!! *drools*
  8. Has anyone ever made anything like this? I didnt find this on a gluten-free site, but it is definitly gluten free! and two of my fav food- sweet potatoes and peanut butter! Peanut Butter Soup This nutritious and delicious soup is made with sweet potatoes, peanut butter and chicken stock. 2 tablespoons olive oil 3 or 4 medium to large sweet...
  9. yeah. the less frequently shopped stores around here, or stores in less populated areas took a while to get the new ones too.
  10. I stopped using the stuff altogether and buy wegmans light mayo now, which is labeled gluten-free. Helmans mayo's also list gluten-free but thier light versions contain phosporic acid, stuff I stay away from. Light miricle whip also has sucralose- gross!!
  11. I know this is probably answered on here somewhere, but I couldnt find anything. IS there any possiblilty that any type of cranberry juice would have gluten?? I'm just so sick of ordering 7-up and seagrams at bars-haha and its hard to ask the bartender to see ingredients when they are extremely busy, so i just stick to what i know is safe. I really don...
  12. My whole life I have had rather large tonsils....it was debated to have them removed. Everytime i went to the dentist he would ask me if I was sick. Well, I've been gluten-free for a few months. I looked down my throat the other day and was suprised to see they are almost not even visible!!!! one is still a little larger than the other, but nothing...
  13. sometimes I think they are out to get us ( I know theyre not, but we've all thought this way). Maybe they have monkey's in those dark corners that go around openeing boxes, pouring gluten inside of them, laughing, and then sealing them back up
  14. They dont sell them anywhere where I am
  15. thanks. yeah, its just so hard to take days off b/c running makes me feel so good (mentally) and it is like morning coffee for me. I just have to make sure I am busy on my off days otherwise I'll go insane!!! I also do crunches and light wieghts after running.... I'll have to try just going for a walk a couple days a week instead maybe...I get antsy also...
  16. hmmm...I'll have to looked harder. I didnt see it on the side, but then there were people wanting to get to where I was standing in the isle which distracted my search I always hated reading the side of the box b/c then people think I'm a health freak or something, and it doesnt help that I'm thin, so they probabbly think I'm counting calories...but, eh...

    ARCHIVED Running

I'm not sure if this is gluten related, but it started a couple months after going gluten-free back in may... I cut my running back a lot and have been focusing on more intense workouts rather than long distance. I find I have more energy and feel better. When I was eating gluten it seemed no matter what I did it was a battlle to control my wieght...not...
  18. So I went to the store yesterday and went down the cereal isle to check the pricing on rice chex. I noticed the box is differant again and doesnt say gluten free. The ingredients also don't list barley malt, but now it has Tocopheryl....hmmm... also, I contacted sauve b/c I have been using thier products, shine mist and hairspray and noticed Tocopheryl...
  19. does anyone know if this is still true about the labeling? I really want tortilla chips and wegmans is so far away while I'm in school
  20. eeek! I've been having something similar.....small white globs in my stool, but there usually are only a few.....hmmm.....
  21. I've been gluten-free since may...I'd say 99% gluten-free due to some CC that I cant always avoid. but I check EVERYTHIG and stick mostly to naked foods. I didnt have this problem when I first started out on the diet, it seem to gradually get worse as my Gluten symtoms went away ( which were extreme foul gas and diarrhea) I'll try the magnesium. is it...
  22. Once my pms starts ( 24 days before my period believe it or not!) I get C. I havent gone normal in days. its like rabit terds. But what really bugs me is where does all my food go??? I've laughed about it, but at the same time it is scary considering the amount of fruits and veggies I eat. In the past 3 days, aside from chicken, rice a lots of quinou (I'm...
  23. SO I'm overly excited that I may have the chance in the near future to go on the road and play music. At the same time I'm freaking out b/c the last thing I want is to get sick. There is a fridge and freezer on the bus so I suppose I could pre-make myself some meals, but the fridge is only so big and I'm not the only person who would be using it. I'm sure...
  24. wow, I cant believe my thread is still going. After reading everyone's posts, I really hope that there is research being done on this and that in the future more people will be aware. What if, for all those people out there who don't have celiacs but are diagnosed with depression or some other illness are really suffering b/c of what they are eating...
  25. did you buy the regular ones or the steele cut? I havent had the regular ones yet, but I had a bad reaction to the steel cut oats so I doubt I'll buy the normal ones. I made them they had this gooey clear protien like stuff that formed around it. It was almost slimy to eat. I even cooked them for close to an hour, figuring it would helpmake them better,...
