ARCHIVED Sick And Tired Of Doctors?

altho ive never heard of homotoxicology... and like everyone, i might be a little skeptical, BUT they do examine the eye in Chinese Medicine.. they can examine your eye, your tongue, & your pulse, and diagnose quite a bit.. so, i definitely believe in it, but not sure i would always believe anyone claiming they know how to do it. but i am definitely...

    ARCHIVED New Diagnosis

like said above, it really is best to eat very clean & natural, and try not to eat gluten free treats & carbs on a daily basis... they're usually not healthy, and can be hard to digest too... HOWEVER, we are human, and need treats- just try to keep them to a minimun- think of them as "treats" and not staples. also, wanted to add, that i LOVE Pamela...
  3. hey everyone just wanted to share with you that i drove up to Orlando over the weekend with family. we did a bit of shopping at Downtown Disney and a little eating Mom asked where we should eat for lunch, and i wasn't sure as im fairly new to being 100% Gluten Free instead of just being low carb. I thought Wolfgang Puck's might be safe tho i wasnt...
  4. omg, why do they only order 1 test sometimes?? um- well, a more complete order would include: antigliadin antibodies iga & igg, ttg iga & igg, endomysial antibodies, and Total Iga Serum. (if your kid is Iga deficient, then all the Iga tests could be inconclusive/false negative) there's a newer test i learned about on here with more accuracy...
  5. yes! absolutely! my reactions are way more alert and severe than before going gluten free!
  6. oh Twinkle Toez... wow u just ended your post about nut butters- let me just tell u, its very strange because im getting a brand new issue with them i caNNOT tolerate peanuts (and many legumes)... so ive always substituted with almond butter & sunflower seed butter. never had a problem, and then the past few months when i go to eat my almond butter...
  7. oh i totally understand... past week ive been feeling like saying: "oh F it"- and just go get a FILET O' FISH !!!!!!!! ive been craving it so bad these days, i can taste it completely.
  8. well i dont know enough about genetics yet to know what the HLA-DR is associated with- you could google it to see what it is predisposed for (but dont worry yourself- having a certain gene doesnt mean u will have the disease). and it looks like u have a DQ 6 and a DQ 7... they're not the "classic" Celiac genes.. but that doesnt mean you could not have...
  9. im not your doc, nor do i know all the details that Skylark is mentioning... but my reaction is: your biopsy is "positive" and pathology says Celiac... dont let a nurse negate that or cause you to second guess. good luck with it all... make sure you go over it with your doctor.
  10. so- are you saying your Fructose Malabsorption got better or went away after some time being gluten free????????? this would be so great news if it could be the same for me in the future!!! i really hope so, cause this FM diet has been very limiting
  11. hey- mine took about 4 months to go away even after going gluten free... i also used a topical ionized silver ointment from Whole Foods. i thought i'd try it (because others talk about using Dapsone- a powerful antibiotic)-> and silver is a natural antibiotic- and also antibiotics have an antiinflammatory effect as well. it really stopped the itch in...
  12. hey sue - my last B12 test was pretty good (641) but im getting my D tested next month-> can low D cause muscle spasms??
  13. ya,um WHY do these doctors refuse tests that we ask for???? i practically have to beg my doc at times- i begged the other day for the Hashimoto's antibodies test- she said "well, maybe"... i was like; "PLEASE!!!" i asked her 6 weeks ago when i got my Lipids panel done, if i could get the Lipoprotein a test (because it runs HIGH in my relatives- and ive...
  14. how do u feel? because i dont think you need any more B12. im not a doctor, but i personally would feel better within range- and if you felt really tired and sickly before and like to be full of B12- just aim to get it just under 946. even tho i argue with many docs and nurses- and even tho some ranges i think should be CHANGED... they are there for a reason...
  15. ? is he eating dairy?? that can stop u up. um, Ghee really helps- (it's clarified butter and contains Butyrate which helps the small intestine work). u could put a tbsp on top of his veggies- i wouldnt eat more than 1 or 2 tbsp a day- if u do to much u could get a little "D" ya- maybe drink more... lukewarm water with lemon... does he like mangos...
  16. mercury is definitely detrimental to your health... but im not so sure how much would leak out of a filling... first of all, i THINK most fillings are not mercury anymore, but either silver or composite, but im not sure... i DO have a few silver/grey fillings- at the time my dentist reassured me that they were not mercury- but from what ive read recently...
  17. today was not my best example... i was on the run and having panic attacks.... bfast-> 2 cups coffee with creamer, gluten-free choco cake (pamelas cake, homemade buttercream coco icing) **blood sugar drop snacks- rice crackers with feta cheese & avacado, 1/2 a Nugo gluten-free bar, water dinner-> 1 1/2 sandwiches (Udi's gluten...
  18. thankyou SO much everyone for all of your support my Endo was really nice and you could tell she LOVED her job... she spent a long time with me- 30 or 40 minutes- and really enjoyed explaining how it all worked, i really really liked her a lot!!! she even prescribes Armour, which i presumed that none of my network docs would even consider. but i am...
  19. thanks, lol... there's A LOT of these code words and i havent learned them all yet... and having TWO "DH"'s is a bit confusing
  20. dont know about D yet. concerning B12-> you do need major supplementation if your stomach hasnt been working right... or with many diseases.. your liver stores like a 5 year supply- so by the time you become deficient- your poor liver has already been depleted. before my dx, i was dx with Hypoclorhidia (not making enough stomach acid), my integrative...
  21. PLEASE get off gluten and follow the diet- according to the research center at Columbia University- only 1 in 6 Celiacs have stomach problems... you may feel ok- but it could be doing a lot of damage inside your gut & brain and other organs including your Thyroid. yes- everyone is totally different even within the realm of Celiac-> you could live...
  22. i follow babycakes on twitter- apparently they just opened at disney on dec 10 and it was real hush hush.. Im sure itll be marketed now.
