ARCHIVED My Wife.....funny Story.
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to GeoffCJ's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Hi Geoff, Welcome to the forum! I love your story, that's cute . I always get teased by my martial arts students, too, because I'm not only teaching it, I'm pretty much living it, cause rice is a good alternative and cheap. This is a great idea. Stef -
ARCHIVED No Morning Sickness?
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to stef-the-kicking-cuty's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Hi Sally, yes, you can teach with words. What I did in Germany was, I took two of my best students, put them in front of the others and talked about what and how I wanted them to do. And that worked out great. However I just opened my school this August. Most of them don't have a clue, what I'm talking about, so therefore, they can't really show it how... -
ARCHIVED No Morning Sickness?

I'm kind of excited too, although I'm a little bit cooled off about it as well. I'm kind of like, just get the thing out of me and over with. Don't get me wrong, it's not, that I don't want a kid. It's just, that I don't want to be pregnant. Wrong timing. Being an athlete is my profession, that's what I earn my money with and I hate doing something else to... -

Thanks for your quick answer. That's very funny. Just this afternoon I was in the convenience store around the corner. I have immense sugar cravings for some reason. And I know, I know, I shouldn't do it, but for some reasons I need Pepsi. So I got the caffeine free pepsi, just to sip two times. Then I grabbed an apple and took of to the register. Then I... -
Hi guys, I found out I'm pregnant today. However I'm not getting sick at all, not in a sense of being gaggy and having to throw up at least. My entire bloodpressure is really low, I'm dizzy and it feels like I have heart problems. Really weird. However I'm not getting this vomiting sick feeling at all. Is this normal? Can something be wrong with the...

stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to odcdinah's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I know, I'm a little late. You probably have your new family addition by now. Anyways, congrats from me, too. Not with me. I was super top fit and then went to a World Championship in Spain 4th of November. Then right after that about 1.5 weeks to Germany, where I was visiting my relatives and trained for a belt test. I was in Europe for almost... -
ARCHIVED Got Really Sick This Afternoon
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to happy4dolphins's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi there, I have the same problems after I eat snickers. And it doesn't matter, if it's mini or a regular size bar. One of my students, who also has celiac said, that the coco butter in the snickers and other chocolate candy bothered her. After she told me, I tried several gluten-free candy bars with coco butter in them and actually they all bothered me... -

stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to StrongerToday's topic in Gluten-Free Restaurants
Hi strongertoday, this is a good question. I already thought about this cappuchino as well. It would be awesome, if we could have it. Before I got celiac, I was a real cappuchino drinker. Do they have an e-mail address as well? I couldn't find one... Stef -

stef-the-kicking-cuty posted a topic in Traveling with Celiac Disease
Hi guys, I'm flying Friday morning to Spain. I wanted to call the airlines, because I have 3 different flights until I'm there. And most airlines you need to call 24 hours in advance, but I can't find the list with all the numbers to ask, if they offer glutenfree meals. Didn't we have a list once? Panick, panick, please help aaah... -

stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to stef-the-kicking-cuty's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Thanks a lot guys, I will continue to take the Ganeden ones then. I also printed the thread out and will keep it for reference. In case the big "D" should hit me again, I will switch to some other tabs. Maybe, this time the "D" is just stress. I have my GED test next week and although I know, it's easy, I'm always excited before a test. So the "D" might just... -

Yes, exactly, it's Mead. I forgot about the correct spelling for a while. I love Mead, when it's like that, I will like it... I thought the same thing about that coconut, when I read your post. 'Wouldn't that make it Jamaican or something like that???' Now that you mention the chocolate frosting it pops back into my head. Before I came to the US... -

@ Francelajoie: I think I know what you mean then. I guess, I might like it, sounds like met. @ Nancy: I like chocolate cake , too. I have no clue whatsoever, if it's a german food. I think my belly doesn't care, if it's german or american: It's good -
Sorry for disturbing this all the time. Celiachap I found out something interesting. I will post it somewhere else. If you want to follow me This gets interesting. I love history. Bye guys, see you in another thread.

This is quite true I did not say, that you are lying. In fact, I said, I believe, that you have German ancestors. You said, you're not an expert, which is ok. I'm not an expert either. I just read a lot of books about German history. And the things I said here are by no means my opinions, these are facts that I learnt in the German school I went to...

ARCHIVED Glutenfree Lactose Intolerant Tabs
stef-the-kicking-cuty posted a topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Hi there, I finally figured out, that lactose is the other culprit. I started taking Lactose Intolerance Tabs a couple of days ago. First I felt relieved. Well, actually I still feel relieved, but now suddenly today I get this very, very slight headache, which is normally associated with diarrhea with me from being glutened. Now I start to think that these... -

Aaaah, now the lights turn on. Because of the Oktoberfest. Never thought about that. It makes sense . But for me beer = cough, spit and Bratwurst = belch . I don't know, I just never liked beer and I don't like Bratwurst. I've been told though, that the glutenfree beer is supposed to be very sweet. Is this true? Somewhat like 'met' maybe. Because... -
Hello MSFL, just read what happened last night. Hope you are feeling better. One thing that has helped me to keep more liquid in my body was Gatorade or Powerade, although you might not want to try this, if you're nauseous. Maybe chamomila tea might help also... The other thing I wanted to say was to celiachap. I was not a traffic policeman like...

ARCHIVED I Need Some Help
stef-the-kicking-cuty replied to melisadki's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Hi Mel, try the Bob's Red Mill glutenfree Bread Mix. Hmmm! I bake two of them every week. I can't get enough! I also bought an electric bread knife. This helps a lot with cutting, because the bread doesn't crumble that much. After cutting I freeze the bread one slice in one little baggie. And then when I want one, I put one of them frozen as is into...
