  1. My Fibro has improved. I've been gluten free for about 5 months now. (except a few accidents here and there) The vertigo is much better. I can walk now without my legs having to be spread out to maintain balance. I guess I didn't even realize that was part of the fibro. I have many neuro symptoms due to gluten ataxia. Things are improving slowly. I...
  2. I forgot to mention the sleeping thing until I saw your list! I have never slept better in years than I have since the oil pulling! I had noticed and noted it in the first week, but it has continued. I used to get up at least 2 times (my weak bladder) per night, now one if any. I also wake very rested. today is my best day in over 7 days. I still had...
  3. Thanks, I had read the "earthclinic" one a week or so ago. Just checked out the other. They all seem to say pretty much the same. I all sounds positive to me. I'm in week 2 now and plan on continuing it as a regular routine. I'll be anxious to see what the dentist says in Feb. I plan on being re-assesed before they start all the gum work, and will be...
  4. I'm back. I read so far, in my Oil Pulling Book that mercury fillings after about 35 years are mostly void of mercury as it has already leached into your body, everywhere! All of mine but one are over 35 years old. Of course he recommends you have them out. (I will be looking into to this, but only with all precautions recommended). So the Oil Pulling...
  5. OMG, I'm nervous now! I am going online to research. Let ya's know what I find......Thanks, Amber
  6. Good idea to check with the dentist. I forget, I think I'm on day 9 or 10, but I was so sick yesterday, full blown gluten symptoms right now. Alot of neurological stuff as well as lower colon. Christmas Eve, my kitchen was full of gluten again and the biscut crumbs were just everywhere. I know for sure I did not eat gluten, but somehow got infected...
  7. Seriously? Tell me more. Sometimes I begin to wonder if it's that or something else. I know for sure I did not eat gluten but it was all over my kitchen. I wasn't going to touch the rolls, I had some one else cook them and then, without thinking I poked one to see if they were done and I can't remember washing my hands. Plus they were scooped off the...
  8. I checked out the ingredients on spam and it was fine. I ate it and have been sick since. I also ate Birds eye Brussel sprouts in a Butter sauce. I did not list any gluten either. I know those are the only two new things I ate this last week. Any help?
  9. I could force the issue, and I know I would win in the end, but I haven't gotten there yet. I am going to give him the chance to do what is right and we wil see. If I keep getting sicker not eating it then I will be blaming him. We talked more and he is worried now about my health, so we will see how it goes. I may need your help, I'll let you know. I...
  10. I don't think he would, but he understands better today. He will be more considerate I think. Speaking of which, tonight, Christmas eve, we had a house full of family and of course gluten from one end to another. I tried not to touch any, but cleaning up it was impossible. I washed my hands as much as possible. I just hope I made it with no problems...
  11. The black line on the teeth with crowns, I do not know, but I read in my dental disease pamphlets that a black line near the gums is a sign of severe gum disease. I noticed my silver (mercury) fillings were black looking the other day rather than silvery. I assumed the oil was drawing at the metal. Do the crowns involve some kind of metal? Maybe thats...
  12. I see in your signature that you had a negative blood test and yet you have DQ 2 gene. It confirms what my allergist says, "the blood tests are unreliable." I pays to have the gene test doesn't it? I hear so many stories about this. It makes you wonder just how many people are walking around out there with all kinds of health problems and getting diagnosed...
  13. My husband agreed to work with me on this gluten issue, and although he did not give it up, he was going to be very careful and leave me an area of the kitchen and some pots, pans, etc. alone. I hadn't payed much attention after that. But with the way I am feeling this last several days, I decided to watch him more carefully. He glutened the whole kitchen...
  14. My upper right leg is bad right now. I have twitching and spasms in the right butt cheek and both legs. My lower right colon is acting up right now too. I know how it feels. I always seem to have all of it together. When the colon acts up, the rest comes on. I've gone over everything I ate latley, can't find a culprit. I had the night sweats all night...
  15. I think what you say about the tolerance makes sense. Just saw the doc. today, had a "full" thyroid panel, Iron, vit B 12 def. blood tests taken. Also being scheduled for a colonoscopy, oh Yea! But I really have to have it, just dread it. My neck is soo sensitive right now, I can't stand it to be touched or any clothing touching it. Somethings up...
  16. Ya, I'd rather have it fall out on it's own after I read about how they have to do it, and all of the precautions they have to take so the mercury doesn't spread. Hopefully I will be awake thought, OMG, I don't want to swallow it. It doesn't feel loose though and today the ache is barely there. The book said you could get a mild tooth ache. So maybe it...
  17. I read that safflower oil is fine. Not toasted or anything though. Day 8 for me. Have lower colon issues right now and still twitching and some numb tingling in the face. Not real excited today. I had a mild tooth ache last night where I have a mercury filling. I am worried about it falling out! It is really old too, like 40 years old, eke,...
  18. I find it quite amazing as well. I think once you stop for awhile, the system becomes even more sesitive to it, either that or we just forgot how sick we were all the time! At least, now you know with out a doubt although your test results are certainly enough.
  19. After Shay's report, maybe you won't have to have grafts. Thats what I am hoping too. All I know is my gums are looking very healthy. Day 7, woke up with the old leg twitching again and a fimilar pain down my neck area on both sides. I have been over everything I ate, can't figure it out. Bowels are not right either. I get discouraged easily. I know...
  20. I'm so excited to hear your gums are healing! Wow, I really think there is something to this. I'm going to hunt for my book I read years ago of Ayurvedia. Now it sparks my interest again. Thanks for getting this going Shay!
  21. I think "toasted" means it isn't cold pressed or virgin oil. I read in my book, "Oil Pulling Therapy" by Dr. Bruce Fife, that it suposidly is okay to use non cold pressed oils and that some people have an allergy to the sesame. Try another oil, and I agree with Shay with it's original use that far back, the oils were not refined. Therefore, I would tend...
  22. Well, you have been the gamit!! Please keep us posted on the Mayo results, and best wishes to you. I still say check into the "OIL PULLING". Did you say you have been tested for LYMES?

ARCHIVED Group Letter to Dr. Fine

From all that I have read, DQ 1 and 3 are "gluten sensitive" genes and other countries besides the US think there are more genes involved. I think US is behind in the gene area. I have gluten ataxia from gluten sensitivity and do not have full blown celiacs, although I have problems in the lower colon area.
  24. I Live near Bangor Maine. Does anyone know of a specialist in my area??? Or in Maine at all???? Thanks, Amber
  25. I've had sleepers paralysis for over 30 years, I totally understand!! I have gluten ataxia. 5 months gluten free, I haven't had a migraine but only once. (been on meds for 30 years too). I have cut down on the meds a little so far with good luck. I read that celiac and gluten sensitivity can cause anti-bodies to attack the cerabelum (base of the brain...
