  1. I'm with ya all on everything. I had to start digestive enymes myself and drop all grains except brown rice. I also take acidophlis daily. Gluten free is not enough. I tested negative on celiac and had the gene test indicating (below) gluten sensitivity instead. I also am allergic to soy, lugumes, and clams. I struggle with cross contamination as well...
  2. I hope you don't mean by ("if I can keep it down"), that you are swallowing it. I read last night that the oil after under a microscope shows toxic bacteria and it can make you vomit. You are spitting it out each time? The book says to rinse the sink well to as you can pass that bacteria on from the rinsing spit too. Day 6 for me, a very good one....
  3. Just remember, the forum should not replace your MD. I do know that your symptoms can be from gluten as it affects the brain greatly. There is a lot of good information on that if you look around here and on google. I read an article called, "The Brain Grain Connection", but I can not remeber what site. Try googling that or look around this site and see...
  4. I use my regular Toms toothpaste, but I noticed it burns a bit. I got some "sensitive" Toms and will be trying that. The book just says to brush if you want after, but no mention of the type. So, I assume any you usually use.
  5. Day 5 for me. I had stuff in my throat this mornings pull. I made it the 20 minutes and upon spitting the oil out, my gag reflex kicked in, yup!! Just a bit of mucus. I was headachy all afternoon and tired, could have cralwed into bed. My gums bled a bit when I brushed after, for the first time. Funny they bled at the dentists last week but I hadn't noticed...
  6. Mr Moore, I would go on google and put in the B vitamins and read about it to be safe. I wouldn't want to give you the wrong advice, but from what I understand, it does not build up to be toxic. Check it out from an expert source. We can share our experiences, but it may not be the right thing for you always. The B's will help with your OCD, but try to...

ARCHIVED Group Letter to Dr. Fine

Right. I remember now that Red Cross did the gene test, I wondered why because I thought they were going to do it. Sorry. So it is the stool tests only that you are talking about. I understand now. Thanks. Amber
  8. Shay, so glad you started the thread. Okay, I am using "Cold Pressed Virgin Sesame Oil" and I am on my fourth day. First 3 were a combination of whiter teeth, cleaner mouth, a mild sore throat and horseness. I spit up some mucus the 2nd day. (the book I bought said that could happen and even temporary larengitis) I was very achy the 3rd day, in general...

ARCHIVED Group Letter to Dr. Fine

I'm good with it, but I have a question, as a late entry in this, sorry. Are you asking regarding JUST the stool test?
  10. I don't think you are wasting your money. I think they will both help. Let us know. My advice is to read all the information you can, and there are many helpful articles on this web site as well as others. Educate yourself on your condition and you will be armed with all you need to get well. If you have celiac or gluten intolerance, you should see remarkable...
  11. If I understand correctly, the sublingual is the liquid that you put under your tongue. Sounds like you got the right one. I personally brake out terribly with any kind of B 12. It appears I am one of the rare ones with an allergy to the supplements. (even gluten free) I am adding more foods now with the B vitamins. This is the only way for me I guess...
  12. I am another one that came back negative on the celiac blood test and biopsy. I had the diet from the allergist and the gene test. I am "gluten sensitive", so bear in mind that you may be either.
  13. I use "Digest" Enzymes from Enzymedica. I know I checked them out, but now I am questioning it. Please tell me they weren't them! Thanks
  14. I think you should get referred to a bone specialist. This does not seem right to be ignored. Ask to be referred!!
  15. Welcome. I, for one, do not feel safe at resturants. I'm too afraid of cross contamination. If your only a month, I am not surprised you are having other intolerances. I have had many in my 5 months. I was allergic to soy for years anyway, but many celiacs have to give up other things during the healing process. All grains except rice are usually hard...
  16. For Sure! I have gluten intoerance with gluten ataxia. It applies.
  17. I looked it up and although I have very dry eyes, I have no other symptoms. I have plenty of saliva and don't have dried mucus in my eyes upon waking. Do not have a hard time swallowing, etc. I don't think thats it. But, thanks.
  18. I am on the vit. D (400 IU) for the last 2 months. It is probably one the threads holding my brain together right now! LOLI I am not eating any processed foods right now at all. Very basic seems to be the best, and I still screw up now and then. Like the Lays potato chips. Done with those! Rice seems to work the best on my stomach right now. (rice...
  19. I hardly eat any corn now because I was feeling less well after eating it. I only eat corn tortillas about every 3 or 3 weeks when I make tacos. I will have to think about that too. I am going to check out the candida thing, I don't know much about it. I prepare all of my sweets myself so I know whats in them and never eat the prepared stuff. Most...
  20. Thanks, I suspected the chips because I seem to recall the last few times I'd eaten them before this time, I had a reaction to. Well, there's one more thing down.
  21. Hi everyone, I have been (I am pretty sure) gluten free for over 4 months now and have been on a roller coaster. I start feeling better and then right back down hill. I am depressed and moody today. I feel like crap. My neuro symptoms are back and I have had a lower colon ache with lower back ache for 3 days. The only thing I could have been glutened...
  22. Mr Moore, It sounds like you need the "Safe" and "Unsafe" food lists that are available on this site. You need to be very serious in educating yourself on "gluten free." I say this because of your question on the gravy. You will find that once you are gluten free, if you eat it accidently, you may have quicker and more severe symptoms. You may have a...
  23. From what I have read here, and many other areas is for one, Malabsorption, like from celiacs damage, or gluten sensitivity damage is a big cause. Also as we age our bodys do not absorb nutrients like when we are young. There is a defeciency test for it I believe. I can't remember the foods highest in magnesium, but easy to find out when you start googling...
  24. I agree on the full set of tests metioned here. I was gluten free with my blood test and biopsy. They were negative. I had already done the "challenge diet" through my allergist and discovered the gluten problem, so I was stumped. I decided to have the gene test for that reason. As it turned out, I was gluten sensitive with no upper intestinal damage...
  25. Just thought I'd throw out a few things. I have had severe constipation for over 3 years (after years of D.) Nothing, and I mean nothing seemed to work for me either. My Allergist said it was magnesium def. and put me on 1000 mg per day. 500 with lunch and 500 with supper. (do not take 1000 all at once, and never on empty stomach or will cause nasea...
