ARCHIVED Recommend A Doctor In You State

Looking for a doc in Las Vegas, NV... Anyone?
  2. It could be a combination, but honestly when I got glutened about 2 weeks ago, it was from cross-contamination of using the same fork, I didn't even think about and it knocked me on my butt for 48 hours. So yes, a little bit can definitely mess you up to the point of feeling like "death". I hope you feel better.
  3. IMHO if your body craves meat, there is something in it you need. I never craved meat to much before my celiac diagnosis, but during my periods I craved red meat and milk. Odd, I know. Now, having celiac I crave meat more often and green veggies. Again, I truely believe that our bodies know what we need when we need it, so if you are craving it, I would eat...

    ARCHIVED Mcdonald's?

Becarefull with El Pollo, I read somewhere online that only the whole chicken and beans are gluten-free, suprising since they offer corn tortillas and rice...both of those were not on the gluten-free side of the menu....I don't know if that was accurate, but I stayed away. Another place that has gluten-free/CF Fries is Fat Burger, I ate some the other...
  5. I emailed Shiseido, here was the response. I am actually suprised by this. I almost don't believe it! ************************************************************************************ Thank you for contacting Shiseido Cosmetics America. We welcome comments and questions from our valued consumers. Shiseido Cosmetics America prides itself on addressing...
  6. ....."Hey Kim, I can't belive you have been on the diet for a year now." Seriously, grats to you! I say screw the gluten-free cake (hehe), go have a girls day out, get the toes/nails done, buy yourself a new outfit, maybe a massage...you deserve it.
  7. Thank you, thank you, thank you Lisa!!
  8. Thanks for the responses. I know this is a controversial topic. I would say that we are adults and we can all agree to disagree. It
  9. Thanks All. I was hoping for weight loss..lol I am one of those people that actually gained weight! Grr. I have lost about 5 pounds, but I want to lose more. Luckly, since being gluten-free and feeling good I can actually start going to the gym again!
  10. Hi! Many of us with Celiac that have gone gluten free still have food issues, mainly because we eat something else that our bodies cannot tolerate. Like gluten, I have issues with casein, aka dairy. Every time I eat it I get painful cramps in my stomach, nausea, and diarrhea. I don't eat it anymore. I feel fantastic!! I would think you might...
  11. Hi Guys, Questions for those of you that might have these experiences
  12. Thanks Richard. Just to play devil
  13. Interesting and thank you for the information.
  14. That sucks. I tried the same thing with Bath and Body Works and they won't tell me which products have or have not Gluten...and the worst part is that they email me the ingredients, but do not tell me which of those could contain Gluten. When I asked them they respond with a general statement of BS telling me that can not tell me which products contain gluten...
  15. Thanks Lisa. I see that it is definitely a hot topic. My apologies. I did not mean to "start a fire" again. I guess my question is now....Can a person with Celiac Disease develop DH? According to my doc and several posts here it appears as those allergies can and do increase in people with Celiac. My doc also says the same thing. With that since we...
  16. Guys, I am trying to find out if makeup/lotions/soaps and etc really do get absorbed into the skin? Read a couple articles saying that the chemicals do get absorbed into the skin and go directly to the blood stream. If that's true then any gluten in these products would get into our bodies, thus we are glutened! Thoughts? Please tell me what your research...
  17. Good luck and be sure to let us know how your doing.
  18. Serenity- I am sorry your going through so much. IMHO, I would tell you that this is your body and your life..it is in your hands. I would tell you to take charge of your body and do what your instincts tell you to do. I would recommend offical testing, but since you can't do it right now...do what your body tells you to do. You don't need a diagnosis to...
  19. I definitely hear you on this one. When I ate dairy it did the same thing to me. Cut the dairy. I would try that as well as the soy and corn. Although I am ok with those 2, it would seem like a food elimination is the key here. You could try a food journal. That's how I found out it was dairy with me. Everytime I got sick I wrote it down and finally, the...
  20. Hi All, I contacted Origins to find out about their products and here is the response. I did ask about specific products as I use many of them. ************************************************************************** Thank you for your interest in Origins. While a formulation may contain no wheat, oat, barley or rye derivatives, for the benefit...
  21. Definitely interesting. I work at a University inside Tech Services at a Helpdesk. AKA, a computer geek. Kind of interesting for a woman. My hubby gets a kick out of it because he brought me into the field about 9 years ago and then got out and I stayed in.
  22. I don't have any trouble with it either. Perhaps, could there be something in the mayo. Like crumbs from bread with gluten? Donno just thinking. Good luck.
  23. Wow, I feel ya. The docs have been thinking that "its all in my head" for the last 9 years. So I feel ya. IMHO you have 2 options. 1. Drop the doctors, stop eating gluten...infact don't eat anything but fresh meats, veggies, and fruit. Do it for a while. See if you feel better. If so, bring back some starches. Rice for example. If you are feeling good...
  24. Interesting dilemma. There are people that are so sensitive to gluten that breathing it in causes issues. I here it
  25. I have hot/cold issues as well. In doing more research and talking with my doc, he claims that mine is linked to my Hashimoto's Disease (Thyroid). Since, the thyroid actually is the regulator of body temp, if it doesn't work properly it can cause random cold or heat spells. Mine is usually cold, but I do get hot at random. I have ruled out menopause as I...
