to my knowledge you can not reverse thyroid disease. It can be active or dormate at times throughout your life but it never goes away. The Rai therapy is something I fought for a couple of years. After going & being in ICU because of Afib brought on by my thyroid (went into a thyroid storm & almost died. )I was told many never come out of a thy...

ARCHIVED Does Bleach Destroy Gluten?
mamaw replied to Leslie-FL's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I know how you feel. I went through the same thing. I don't think bleach can or would get imbedded gluten particles out of plastic or porous things. BUt for my stainless steel pots & pans I did scrub them with soapy water,( with bleach) then I boiled a big canning pot & added each piece of stainless & boiled the daylights out of it before I... -

mamaw replied to IMWalt's topic in Gluten-Free Foods, Products, Shopping & Medications
From what I've been hearing is that the flours from Indoesnia are ok but not the rice flour from china. I guess lead has been found in the china stuff. There are many rticles written on the net about the China flour. I used to buy it but now have tossed all of it & will not take a chance. I never had high lead levels & the last time I was tested... -

bostonceliac I've made contact with the Oxford Spa. I spoke to the ex hubby & their son. The daughter does indeed have celiac. ARCHIVED I Can't Give Up My Dr. Pepper
mamaw replied to Lockheed's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Colleen I love your taste buds! too funny! In general soda pop is not good for anyone. It gives us the BIG D every time. The kids think it tastes like prunes & it may be an ingredient I can't remember. It's hard when you must give up so many things but I think your body will love you for giving up soda in general. Maybe you can't go cold turkey but... -
I have used the foot bath & also the detox patches. I know at least twenty people who have had some success . But on the other hand if you are one who does not believe in alternative medicine then it is a waste of you money. I have never seen either of the above mentioned heal a sick body but both give a feeling of renewed energy & stamina. A feel...

O- for three of us all celiacs.... Dad was a+ not sure what Mother is. O is the oldest blood type & we are considered the meat eaters not grain eaters.
