  1. I didn't touch any seeds or any animal feed at the zoo. It's itchy with red bumps and about the same this morning as it was last night. I'll post a photo when I get home if it's still bothering me - thanks!
  2. I have a rash on my wrist, hand, arm, and inner thighs. I was at the zoo today! I ate lunch there (they had an allergy binder). I either have a rash just from being at the zoo or have DH from being glutened at lunch. I was diagnosed over 2 years ago and have never had DH ... Has anyone had a late onset of dh? Or am I just being paranoid, and am allergic...
  3. Also, got a helpful & quick response from service@early-pregnancy-tests.com "Hi there, Thank you for your note. The Fertilaid for Women is gluten free, however the FertileCM is deemed as not. Please let me know if you have any further questions! Thanks, Pat Phillips Customer Support"
  4. Thanks! I'll start tracking my bbt too when I'm home from this conference
  5. Oh my goodness, was it ever busy!! Luckily, I planned ahead and make a reservation, so we waited for less than 10 minutes and the service was great.
  6. P.F. Chang's was amazing! So glad you recommended the lettuce wraps, they were absolutely delicious. The woman I met was only dx'd 2 months ago and this was her first time travelling gluten-free. She almost cried when she saw she could have dessert! Thanks so much for the info everyone
  7. Thanks, a friend just recommended that book for me and it is on order from chapters online (I am at a conference right now and can't go shopping for it). I also have just started to track using their online calendars at Open Original Shared Link Thanks Also, what about charting basal body temperature?
  8. Interesting! When I googled Robitussin & cervical mucous, I found this: Open Original Shared Link I wonder if this product is gluten-free! Open Original Shared Link Has anyone ever taken it? Thanks for the info
  9. So, I'm sure there is a lot of information on here & other discussions about this... but I'm really needing some encouragement to stay positive and be patient more than anything. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 3 months now. I've been charting my cycle & we've had very regular sex (every 1-2 days) before, during, and around...
  10. The bad news: California pizza at the mall is not currently serving gluten-free pizza, and there is no Uno's there anymore. Good news: P.F. Chang's has a gluten-free menu, it is even available online, and we have reservations for dinner there tonight!
  11. So, I found another Celiac delegate at my conference! I tried to take her to Wine Encounter yesterday, but it was so busy that we couldn't even get a glass of wine let alone order pizza. We ended up leaving and just buying food at Whole Foods. So I think we're going to walk to the mall and try some of the gluten-free pizza in the food court. We've both...
  12. So I took a cab down to Hillcrest... what a great idea! I had a delicious, gourmet pizza at the Wine Encounter and then bought a few things at Whole Foods to bring back to the hotel. Whole Foods has a ton of gluten-free foods, I wish we had one at home! Thanks again
  13. Thanks so much, I think I will do that! Cheers
  14. Wow, thanks for the great info! Much appreciated. I'm trying to find out if there are any other Celiacs here and getting a friend or two to join me in finding the best safe restaurants around. Cheers
  15. Hello! I am at a conference in Mission Valley San Diego and am starving! The hotel restaurant is awful and all I can eat there is a salad or an omelet and I'm here for 9 days so that just won't suffice. I am staying in the hotel circle and don't have a car, so places within walking distance are preferred. So far by online search, I have found one...
  16. I have chronic knee pain from years of playing competitive soccer. With physio and strengthening exercises, the pain is greatly decreased, however if I get glutened the pain comes back in full force. I hope you called the place where you got the not-so-gluten-free sausage! Feel better soon
  17. I know this is an old thread, but I was doing a search of my own and came across this Kernel's All dressed has wheat flour in it, so that's definitely out. I have Ranch here at home and it has modified corn starch, but other than that, no red flags.
  18. Well put - great advice
  19. Hi Alex - are you seeing a DR for your high heart rate? You should probably seek medical advice from a professional before starting a work out program since your heart rate gets so high. It might be normal for you, but I don't know because I'm not a doctor. You could try something like pilates or yoga - they are about strengthening and toning, doing...

  21. I have been gluten-free for two years :)

  22. You bet it can!!! Celiac disease damages the lining of the stomach, which is responsible for absorbing nutrients from your food, including protein, Vitamin D, and carbs (among others), which are necessary for muscle building. It takes time, and a 100% gluten-free lifestyle (if you do, in fact, have celiac disease) for your body to heal. Since going...
  23. Lara Bars are gluten-free http://www.larabar.com/ I just drink gatorade and water before my games and chocolate milk afterwards
  24. Good for you for getting back into it! Gladiator is right, I've been gluten-free for 2 years (hey, I just realized that tomorrow is my 2-year gluten-free annivesrary! Hooray! ) and have gained a lot more muscle now that I can absorb the nutrients from my food. My favourite no-impact work-out is swimming. It's a good cardio and total-body...
  25. I just started Apo-Sertraline this morning after switching from Cipralex. I didn't think to ask the pharmacy or look up the gluten-status on this. So far no reaction, and I usually react very quickly, but I will call the pharmacy to be sure. I don't know which company makes my generic form of Zoloft, but I am in Canada, so it may be different than the...
