  1. You know, maybe I'm dreaming, but I could have sworn that I wasnt the only one who's urine and stools always horribly smelled?? Please, somebody else, do you have that problem?? One of my college classmates got the guts up on MSN tonight and, I actually guessed what he was going to tell me, that I smell a lot of the times at school. I explained I cant...
  2. I wish I could remember for sure what there was lol. I ate umm what was it called now .. Chicken Nachos??? it was the appetizer but it was enough to fill me up!! There was the option of some other meats(involving chicken) too but I didnt feel like eating that lol. And some salads..but yeah it was the nachos with like jalapenos and green and red nachos...
  3. My family is about the least supportive people you could ever find. 99% of the time they dont even stop to think about cooking a gluten-free meal that we ALL can eat as a family (I always cook my own), they dont worry about contamination (because they dont believe in it), and I'm always getting yelled at for having some of my gluten-free cereals or other...
  4. I dont know if any of you ever go to Boston Pizza, but I was in one a couple of weeks ago, and the lady who served us come out from the back with a binder. The 2005 list does not HAVE a column of wheat/gluten, but the 2004 list does. Anyways yeah those papers have a column that checks off every ingredient and every meal and ever appetizer, etc that have whatever...

    ARCHIVED Sleep

Yeah my sleep patterns are always insanely screwed up. Everyday, it chooses for itself, regardless of just how gluten-free I am. Some days, like today, I can sleep about 24 hours a day and would probably still feel tired .. Then there is some days I manage to go on 3 hours of sleep without falling over. Its odd, but .. I know its because of Celiac.. ...
  6. Maybe I'm just dumb for not knowing this, but any canned cashews, etc packaged by Trophy I suggest you dont eat them. I learned that lesson on Sunday. it didnt give me actual stomach pains on Monday, because it was just from factory contamination, but I felt so drained and light headed and dizzy and lost my appetite and I felt like I could sleep all day....
  7. Things are getting to the point where they just dont work out. I've been on this diet for 33 months, and most of my family is still un-supportive or just dont try to understand how Celiac works, what I can and cant eat, and just how sensative I am. I get laughed at and lectured if I admit that sharing a knife, fork, etc or double dipping is enough to make...
  8. I grew up drinking vodka (even before I turned 19 lol--thats the legal age here)..and I still have it now, and never get an affect from it..and I've tried a few different types too ~lisa~
  9. Yeah I can tell you all right now theres no way I could afford to ever live on my own right now. As it is, my food costs me at least $150 a month (mostly just for bread) .. I am still living at home, 1/2 hr away from the college here, and I eat a lot of sandwiches--easiest way to feed yourself in school .. I've spent over $1300 this year already (as much...
  10. I dont know if that has been mentioned before, but I recently discovered that now that its getting colder/drier out, some spots where I had dermatitis (head, chest mostly) has turned into spots of psoriasis...has anyone else had this problem, or know a way to cure it without spending a LOT of money just for a little bottle of psoriasis cream?? Thanks...
  11. I had a lot of that, but OMG thank you thats so amazing!! *adds to my ' bible' what I didnt have* ~lisa~
  12. I agree, good email.. I HOPE you can get a good response too! I say we all keep pressuring til they give in ~lisa~
  13. I hope they are wrong, because just when I thought i found enough varieties of food that I can live like a normal human, I dont need some company cutting down that supply, especially not when it comes to milk products! ~lisa~
  14. Whoa that IS crazy! ~lisa~
  15. I'm 21..But the thing is, i dont drive (its not something i'm skilled at at all) so without someone taking me, I have no way of going..I'd take the bus, but then I'd have no way to get to the bowling alley, and then nowhere to stay .. I dont know, it just really makes me dislike having Celiac all over again.... ~lisa~
  16. I'm really angry because my mom doesnt want me go to my Celiac Chapter meeting on Nov.4 in Regina. she keeps coming up with excuses to why I cant go. I'd even skip a day of college for that. its supposed to be bowling (which is terribly miss) and pizza night. and you can bring anyone. she doesnt want to listen to me when I say why am I paying $40 a year...
  17. Hmm well I eat lots of sandwiches, eat as much meat and veggies as my system allows. eat a lot of brown rice(as much as I can). So i dont know, doesnt make much sense. I've just been trying to hide being the 7 pounds lighter because I think people are noticing. I've been getting odd looks. Or maybe they are noticing my jeans a lot looser lol. *sighs...
  18. Honestly, I've always thought about the same thing since I was diagnosed with celiac disease. And seeing how, after 21 years, I've still yet to go on a date or have a boyfriend, now it makes me wonder about this even more. I'm like all the rest of you: I'd like to have a bf/maybe husband with Celiac, because they know how you feel. They know what...
  19. Ok so now my body is working 100% backwards I swear! I started college end of August .. and things are going good there are far as food goes. I keep my gluten-free foods in the staff room, so nothing ever gets touched. I am SO careful with contamination at home .. I've been eating a LOT (enough that sometimes they joke at school because I eat more than...
  20. I have to say that I am very happy with the college I just started at today. I explained to my one teacher my situation. So even though you are supposed to wait until after class (or before) to use a washroom, I can go as much as I need to without saying anything (remember, I am a big diahrrea sufferer). The best part: They are allowed me to keep my gluten...
  21. Arthritis is horrible. Its got me in the left shoulder, the left hand and wrist (especially the thumb joint), the right wrist, and my right ankle.
  22. something has to be wrong with me..its nearly 5 am and I am wide awake. I need to get up at about 9. stupid stress much be setting off Celiac, causing it to set off insomnia I guess. I hate it. Or maybe I am just thinking about certain guys too much.....

    Hmm..

Oh man I am not feeling good at all today. Thats what I hate about Celiac, that I dont know if whats wrong is the flu or cold or celiac. But its slowly been building up (the sickness) the last 4 days and today seems to be the worst. But thats not going to stop me from anything. If I get everyone else sick thats ok. But there is Centennial and class reunion...
  24. My head is pounding I have such a headache. When you have to deal with hearing yelling all day and all night it gets to your head and then yeah, give a big fat headache and everytime you hear more yelling it gets worse. Even my closest friends are discussing among their family how much I need out of there. And I agree..

    Grr

Yup, there again goes my dad ruining my day. Yesterday because of him I had an asthma attack (from anxiety attack). Today out of nowhere he starts yelling at me for having a sore throat. OK I am sick and I have a sore throat, is it my fault that I have no voice?? And then he proceeds to tell me that I am an embarassment to the family. what the hell already...
