  1. I wish they would have one of these National things in Saskatoon or Regina...of course I've never even been able to get to the Chapter meetings...but this National one would be awesome experience. The closest its been to me in the last 3 years was Edmonton, and that itself was 13 hours away! ~lisa~
  2. I think I have a slight allergy to eggs. Sometimes when I eat them scrambled/fried, I have a bit of an allergic reaction, and sometimes I dont. So sorry, cant really give you advice ~lisa~
  3. sandwiches ~lisa~
  4. I think tonite when I get home from writing this final I am going straight to the hospital (to ER). As of yesterday, it hurts to um...poop. And I have been going as often as I always do, so its not like i was constipated or anything, but yeah...such severe pains I thought I was going to scream. Then I tried to eat supper (at 10 pm) and I ate half...
  5. I use Enjoy Life choco chips, I like them. I have even melted them to use them as regular chocolate (when I made triple threat chocolate cookies or whatever they are called lol).. ~lisa~
  6. Maybe all this waitin, and feelin sick, and worried if I'll be alive enough to pass my finals, etc is really starting to hit me. All of today I've wanted to cry, cry, cry. Yesterday kind of started it, when my 2 aunties started talkin/cryin about how they are never going to be over the loss of my Uncle, how they want him to have been here for Easter...
  7. Thanks, its good to know that its normal to feel off from this stuff! its kinda weird that I can actually partly breathe thru my nose ~lisa~
  8. Gees, i didnt think it was that bad I know my Baba is on it, and I think shes had any problems (because shes been on it for quite a while), but yeah I feel just sick in general now. And I was told by one of my classmates today that she used to take Flonaise, and had to stop because it was giving her a lot of nosebleeds (which I could believe, the stuff...
  9. A lot of my family still wont believe how sensative I am to gluten, and still dont even believe I have Celiac, even tho both have been true for over 3 years already. They tend to rub it in my face, and offer me food they know I cant touch, or give me a huge lecture about something. Wish we could all convince the whole world it exists and is real and we...
  10. After my visit with my asthma doc yesterday, he asked me a few questions (about coughing, breathing, and sinuses)... So he decided that instead of taking Flovent, I should take Advair 125, and Flonaise 50 i believe it is. I just started taking both this morning, and I have felt really odd all day (besides the burning in the throat and nose, and coughing...

    ARCHIVED Shakiness

I get the shakes, even with gluten-free! Ever since getting Celiac I have been very unsteady. Its so annoying sometimes %L0
  12. I have had asthma since September 2004. And have never had breathing problems since before going gluten-free. Nothing TOO serious, but definitely "moderate asthma" as they put it, and I sure know when I have an asthma attack, no question about it. I also find that gluten can set off my asthma too a bit, either with food or just in the air! ~lisa~
  13. It does sometimes too, for me. ~lisa~
  14. i only wish I have just Celiac itself!! But like a lot of us in this post said, we went too long before being diagnosed. I have over 80 different problems that I didnt have before I got celiac and went gluten-free. and the list always seems to be growing! maybe they should just come up with a cure for everything else, so we can finally all say we have...
  15. Update: I went to the doctors office this morning, and I'm honestly not even sure of why i bothered!! They knew that I had to leave town by 11 a.m., and I waiting til 9:50 just to see a doctor even. And I got stuck with the one who you can say is as dumb as a doorknob Honestly, she proved she is useless. She made me give a urine sample, and said...
  16. My sister has CF, and it is only my dad who has the carrier gene, and I guess I do too, so when/if I have kids, they both have the chance of having CF and Celiac.. but it'd be interesting to know if they were connected, because my sis always complains about having stomach pains after eating... ~lisa~
  17. Well this day started off like crap..imagine how the rest will go I've been up since before 6 a.m., because for some reason, I managed to fall asleep on my SORE SIDE. The one where my pain is always there. so OMG I moved and my side jabbed me, and that was the end of my sleep (and the start of this HORRIBLE pain). If I wasnt already at school, I'd...
  18. Thank you all, again *hugs back* I wish my parents would be more appreciative of what I am trying to do. It'd be nice for someone to give them a kick in the butt and make them realize how hard I am trying. That good friend and I exchanged a couple of text messages, and he told me that I shouldnt worry about what my parents say, I just have to believe...
  19. Umm I could get in to see my family doctor i am HOPING tuesday morning. I'll call the office on monday, convince them thats the only day I can get in. its always hard to tell if I have menstrual problems, because since I have had celiac, its been irregular. But even just now I went to the washroom, and on the pad there is barely any blood, but more when I...
  20. *hugs betty* I know how you feel, honestly, I really really know how you feel. You can read my latest post in this forum, to find out how even gluten-free products with very careful watch for contamination still is making me sick.. If I had a cure, I'd give it to the both of us!! ~lisa~
  21. I swear to god, I am falling apart as each day passes. I've had all of my self-faith killed thanks to my parents calling everything I do/am/say/have "poop" (the meaner version of that word really WAS the word they used). It makes me sad that I cant even hide being sick anymore. 2 people yesterday in school told me I look really sick (even tho...
  22. OMG Kevsmom, I never even thought about that!! (picking it up the floor)...the rest of the house is messy eaters, and dads always complaining about crumbs everywhere...maybe I am stepping on bread crumb and it affecting my feet and setting off the bit of DH/psoriasis. And plus the bubble bath isnt varified gluten-free, but I made sure there is no wheat in...
  23. After I had a bath tonight I realized that my skin on my toes was very flaky, almost looking like psoriasis (and I do know the bubble bath I use only really bothers my feet! They are the only part of the body that has trouble with bubble bath).. So i think I can add one more area of me with DH to my big list they nobody needs to know about. Anyone...
  24. Yup, I have that problem. Any touch of flour makes me itchy. Its annoying. I even have to always wear gloves to wash dishes. ~lisa~
  25. Hmm never even thought about eating those are looking into those, but I might now ~lisa~
