  1. I can't eat peaches or ham without a reaction. I would try to eat both on their own and see which ones you react to.
  2. It did the same for me then I found out I'm allergic to milk and coffee. I know coffee can make you nervous but sometimes a reaction is just beyond what is expected.
  3. Is anxiety the only reaction you have from coffee?
  4. I had a skin prick test. The doctor used a needle to scratch the surface of my skin for each thing she was testing for. It is not a painful experience at all! It sounds much worse than it is.
  5. I just went for food allergy testing and I'm allergic to just about everything. I came back positive for beef, pork, turkey, milk, eggs, chocolate, coffee, peaches, apricots. It really does suck!!!!!
  6. I was always tired before going gluten free but was never diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome. It's not been about 4 months since going gluten free and after about 2 months did I really feel a difference although I noticed a slight improvement the week I went gluten free. I also just went to an allergist and found out I'm allergic to milk, eggs, some...
  7. 1. How long did it take for you to realize you had the disease? How were you diagnosed? For at least 5 years I remember getting sick after every meal but within the past year it has gotten a lot worse. My test results were not conclusive in either direction and my doctor suggested going on a gluten free diet to see if it gets better. 2. Has living with...
  8. Last night I had dairy in a gluten free dish and I had ringing in my ears and a bad headache. Today I had some cheese and I've been throwing up, I'm dizzy, my pulse is fast. I a finding that each day there are more and more things I just can't eat.
  9. For me, I didn't have a first appointment since I was constantly at the doctor. I always had bronchitis, migraines, rashes, abdominal pain, diarrhea..etc. I was suggested to go wheat free in September but I didn't understand enough about celiac to stick to a diet. Then on my own I went gluten free this year and I feel a lot better. I would still bring it...
  10. A reaction can last up to weeks for people. I had gluten by accident on Saturday. Today I still have chills, headache as if I snorted acid, joint pain..and more! OY!!!!
  11. Is it possible you accidentally ate something with gluten? Although I am not very far into being gluten free, maybe since march/april I remember eating gluten by accident several times..in soy sauce, eating french fries from communal fryers, etc. It sucks but I hope you feel better soon!
  12. Oh how I understand..everything I've been eating lately no matter what makes me wanna throw up ! Hang it there though with time it should get better.
  13. LOL!
  14. Besides being much more sensitive my symptoms are far different. Like I ate something that had gluten when I was at the movies and it felt like the whole room was spinning and I never had that before. My heart beat increases right away and I start to feel like I am going to pass out. I still have all my other symptoms from before, now just more.
  15. It's hard and it's frustrating. I just want to eat a pizza and deal with being sick. I have not found any gluten free alternatives I like..pastas, breads, cookies...UGH! It's hard and it's annoying and it's far from fun. But it is easier if you find things you do like. Is there anything you like to eat that is naturally gluten free? Any potato chips?...
  16. I was always very tired before being gluten free. If up to my own will I could have slept 16+ hours a day. Within a few days of being gluten free I noticed a difference in energy levels and it's been months since I've been gluten free and I still notice a difference as I go along. I say try it out. It's much better to get to the root of it before it gets...
  17. I lived on bread prior being gluten free. I have tried several types of bread and dislike don't like them. I find using a lettuce wrap the best for me when I'm eating at home and I have found a lot of places that will do that for me.
  18. I was also diagnosed with h pylori. I took the antibiotics for them and was afterwood tested and was free of the bacteria. H pylori can cause other complications (gastritis, ulcers, stomach cancers) so as much as you do not like antibiotics (I dont' think anybody likes them) it's not a good idea to stop taking antibiotics.
  19. People really do not understand what it is to be celiac and before knowing I had celiac I had no idea either. Before I stopped eating gluten I was out to eat and this woman ordered a hamburger without a bun for her son. The burger came with a bun and she told them they would have to cook a new burger. I thought the woman was just being annoying that taking...
  20. I was on anti depressants when I was at my sickest from having celiac. I was told that it was just depression that was making me feel so sick. I knew I could be depressed but that was not the only thing that was going on. I could sleep until 3pm daily and never feel rested. I was soo hungry that everyone around me suggested I get tested for a tape worm...
  21. I'm 24 and I've been gluten free for 4 months about. I use to live on bread products. I could just eat bread with butter and be happy. I also never cooked and never had any desire to. Now I cut out all bread/pasta/baked goods from my diet. I have tried soo many gluten free varieties and they are just not for me and now I do not miss those products. I...
  22. I can understand it is hard to accept, but trust me you do not want to have any symptoms to convince you that you are in fact sick. I wish I did not have to suffer for years of misdiagnosis to find out I had celiac. It may not seem like it at the time but you are lucky to find out this way. Living with celiac is a pain in the ass, but you will get adjusted...
  23. I completely understand where you are coming from. Before I was diagnosed my family would say they knew what was wrong with me..I was just nuts . They would say things like, well if the doctor can't find out what's wrong you must be fine. Even now if I eat gluten and I get sick my mom will say it must be that greasy food. Anyway..I hope you get an...
  24. I get AWFUL muscle and joint pain. I cant do anything without being in pain so I just sit in a hot bath and wait for it to go away. It sucks.
  25. My bladder is full when I have to go. What's weird to me is that I'll have days when I'll hardly drink but still be peeing no stop.
