  1. I agree Beverly...the way things are perceived different online then when they are in person. I can also have humor without it being malicious and I know alot of women can. I definitely love this board...it's one of a kind and filled with people who I have got to know and become good friends with:D
  2. Blue Bunny and Yoplait are brands like Kraft and will not hide gluten on labels so all you have to do is check the label for wheat, rye, barley, oats.
  3. Have you considered an Enterolab. They say you do not have to be back on gluten for the test. Go to www.enterolab.com to find out more info. It is not widely accepted by the medical community but it is a great test and they are onto something.
  4. We have found the info about the gluten free products by calling companies and emailing companies. Alot of people on here have done extensive research and know what brands to get and then we share the info. There is a huge Delphi list that just came out a few weeks ago and it is a 79 page list of some gluten free products. It doesn't contain all products...
  5. It sounds like you are coming in contact with gluten and reacting which happens to people with DH. You need to get all gluten free products...shampoos, makeup, soaps, lotions...just as said in the previous post. Good luck and if you need any help feel free to contact me
  6. Verified by phone 2/10/05-all ocean spray products are gluten free From updated delphi list.
  7. The delphi list does not have every single product that is gluten free. It is just a guideline. Post is a division of Kraft which has a policy that they will not hide anything. The label on Kraft brands(as well as some other brands) will list wheat, rye, barley, oats if they contain any, otherwise they are safe. And the cocoa and fruity pebbles are safe...
  8. If he has been gluten free for 5 weeks then blood tests should not be an option unless he gets back on gluten for a while. Being gluten free alters test results and can make a test that should be positive then negative. They recommend people on gluten heavily for 3 months before testing.
  9. If you need any help with makeups and other products you can look in the product section or just contact me and I can help you out with some brands. Lipsticks are extremely important because alot of them contain wheat starch and they are right on your lips which is pretty much guaranteed to get traces into your digestive tract. I actually had a horrible...
  10. By the way, I just got off the phone with Snapple just to make sure since there was a mix of info. All of their products are indeed gluten free.
  11. Andrew~ If you do not have the Delphi list you should definitely have that. It was updated in April and is 79 pages of alot of gluten free products that you would probably find extremely helpful.
  12. Yea,I got that nice long list too ...I wish they could just tell me which ones are and are not...I just hung those brands up. As far as sunscreen...Banana Boat and Coppertone are good
  13. Pre gluten-free I know I had my jaw lock on me a few times...thinking about it, it happened after lunch I think it can be celiac related. As far as clicking in the knee. My mom's knees used to crack like crazy(not painful though just cracking) when she walked up the stairs and bent down..now, that doesn't happen as much. She has been taking EFA's and...
  14. Well sounds like you could have been glutened. It does take time to feel better though. Took me 3 months to get alot of improvement and then 6 months to get back to normal. It just varies from person to person. Have you seen improvement before this happened? You also may want to keep a food journal and see if anything else may be bugging you as well. Have...
  15. Not alot of Clinique is. The email response I got from them was not impressing. It was for a few brands including clinique. I had lipstick by them and called them and I could not get a simple yes or no...it was all well they might be gluten free. They sent me on a wild goose chase and gave me # after #..I was not impressed. Love Bare Escentuals!
  16. Are you on dairy still? Alot of celiacs have problems with dairy at first due to damage in the intestine. I had problems on and off my whole life with milk until going gluten-free now I have no problem with it. Could that be causing you a problem? There are quite a few foods that you will be able to eat again when gluten-free for a while. You see when...
  17. Yes it is too late for a biopsy and if you want a biopsy now experts recommend 3 months on gluten before any kind of testing. The biopsy would be worthless at this point. Damage could have healed by now causing negative results. What blood tests did you have done? There are some specific ones for celiac that the basic celiac panel will not cover. Listen...
  18. I got an official diagnosis through blood tests only. My doctor felt from the test results and the gene test positive for DQ2(one of the main celiac genes) that I did have it. He didn't even want to do a biopsy. If you feel comfortable in your mind then by all means skip it. Your IgA was positive so they are elevated for a reason. Plus your body seems totally...
  19. Yep theres more about that in a thread in the gab room from a while ago. His case was legitimate...doesn't look like he's out to fraud anyone. Even though the Wendy's case wasn't "real" I still find myself looking through the frosty's for chuncks
  20. If you are 5'1 and 113 that sounds like the body fat would be adequate to get your menstrual cycle. I'm 5'3 and 110 and I have always got mine regularly as well. You may want to talk to an endocrinologist...it may be a hormone imbalance of some sort.
  21. I understand how you feel. When I first went gluten free I thought all my troubles would go away overnight. This is not the case. It took me 3 months to see major improvement and then 6 months to get back to normal. It varies from person to person so for one person they could feel better after 2 weeks but for another person 2 months. Just keep following the...
  22. If you are having a gluten reaction, yes that is normal. When I get "glutened" I feel bad right away and then I'm sick for 2 weeks. So that is very much possible that you are still reacting. Since you have been doing good until now I would definitely backtrack and see everything that could have got into your mouth and everything you ate. Feel better...
  23. How long have you been gluten free? And could there have been anything else that could have gotten in you? If you haven't been gluten free that long then your symptoms may not be gone yet and that is why. Were your symptoms better before drinking this? I would try keeping a food journal and see if anything you are eating may cause this. I know milk can be...
  24. Well how tall are you? Usually to have your period you have to have a certain amount of body fat. It could be the weight loss and stress to your body or it could be something else.
  25. No question here is dumb Yes, to my knowledge only frostys are made in the machine they come out of and I know Frosty's are gluten free. That's one of the only things I trust from Wendy's. My friend went there and ordered something and made the cashier account for all 10 fingers
