  1. I like it as pizza crust. I also like the garlic bread mix too. I have to try their cinnamon one and see how that one tastes too.
  2. celiac3270-your favorites are alot of my favorites as well Foods By George-cinnamon and plain english muffins Cybros-Rice rolls Mi-del-cookies Tinkyada-Pasta Amy's-frozen meals Glutino-breakfast bars(apple and blueberry) Kinnikinnick-muffins, donuts, etc Chebe-bread mix Ener-G- pretzels There are so much more things I love but my brain just...
  3. I had ups and downs until I felt normal after about 5 months. After 3 months I was alot better but it took more to get me back to normal. It really can take some time to feel better so I wouldn't expect to see a change so soon. Ups and downs can be normal for a while. Hang in there As for the pinning question. When a moderator looks at it, we will determine...
  4. I use a bunch of Clearasil products. Certain ones work for me and others make me break out because I have sensitive skin. I definitely like this brand alot though
  5. I'm not sure of all the ways they can test for candida. I had a stool test done and they were not even looking for candida but they found that. My main symptom was nausea...I did have others like low energy and so forth but I think that was contributed to my hyperthyroid. They say that candida symptoms can be like those of celiac symptoms so I am not exactly...
  6. I have not used McCormicks taco seasoning but they will list on it if it contains wheat, rye, barley, oats. They are a brand like Kraft. Did you check the label?
  7. Quaker is definitely a risky company. They have high contamination of oats. I used to eat the rice cakes but haven't had them in a while either and after seeing their contamination issues of some things I think I'll stay away from that company.
  8. No I did not have candida in the mouth...mine was only intestinal. I do think I did have a tiny bit of "female" candida at one point. I was diagnosed with intestinal candida and did about a little over a month supply of liquid Nystatin. I am 100% better (unless I am glutened) but that took care of the symptoms I was facing that were not from celiac...
  9. I had candida and I know that I had similar symptoms to what you are describing. I had bad nausea with it. Have you been checked yet?
  10. Not sure about the doctor in that area but here is where you can get the dining cards: Open Original Shared Link They basically tell the waitress/waiter what you can't have and to warn them you can get very sick.
  11. I personally have not had a problem with cocoa or fruity pebbles. I know there can be risks of contamination with alot of things but I really trust the Kraft brand and Post is a division of Kraft.

    ARCHIVED Cd And Dh

I know you can have celiac disease without DH but I was saying if you have DH don't you have to have celiac disease? I have never heard of someone with DH who did not have celiac. Biopsies can have false negatives. I wish my uncle would get tested...he has alot of stomach problems like I did and he gets itchy bumps sometimes...but he won't get tested...
  13. That's great...one more informed person who won't go when celiac is mentioned again Who knows if she turns out to be a celiac then she is one more person demanding gluten free food..and the more people we have doing that, the more choices they will put out for us
  14. I have these little pills. They are supposed to be really good. This is the only thing I was not deficient on before going gluten free These are sublingual vitamins and enter your bloodstream directly and quickly. I get them over the counter at my health food store. I don't know if there is a different one that you must see your doctor about?
  15. How much water do you drink every day? When you get thirsty that means you are already low on water. Maybe try drinking 8 glasses of water a day and see if that still stays with you. For the 2nd ?- It won't hurt you...processed sugars are bad for you. The fruits have a natural sugar that is better for you anyway.
  16. This is false.Blood tests are done to see if someone is complying with the diet. The antibodies will go down when you are off of gluten. Has he been 100% gluten free? Are even his products like things he uses on his face, head, and hands gluten free? These things have a high chance of getting into the mouth. If he has been 100% gluten free do you think...
  17. I don't think this would work very well because it wouldn't go up high enough would it? The damage with celiac is in the small intestine which is higher up. The colonoscopy only covers the large intestine(colons) Don't know alot about this area so I could be wrong...someone else may know better but that's my opinion on it
  18. Well there is a protein called avenin in oats(similar to that of the protein gliadin) and some celiacs can't tolerate oats because of this protein, not just because of contamination....maybe you were reacting to oats in itself if they were made in a facility that only does oats?

    ARCHIVED Cd And Dh

I think if you have DH you have to have celiac. Basically DH is a "symptom". It is a skin reaction to gluten and they say that people with DH still have the damage in the intestines. If I am wrong on this someone please let me know..this was what I perceived from the info I have got.

    ARCHIVED Subway?

Their meats are supposed to be gluten free BUT I would not eat anything from there. They continuously touch bread and go back and forth with the meats and other toppings..that is definitely a place for cross contamination.
  21. I've had wonderful experiences with Oscar Mayer products.
  22. To me it doesn't matter about medical tests...your body can tell you more then that. Definitely don't feel bad going gluten free...you feel better which is great and it probably has been extremely good for you. There are people on here that are self diagnosed and know they have problems with gluten. Welcome to the board
  23. It may seem overwhelming at first since you are not sure of what you can and can't have. It's not as overwhelming as it seems. It definitely gets easier with time. There is great info on here about some wonderful products we can have. There is also a forbidden and safe food list which you should take a look at...it will help as a guideline for beginning...
  24. People with celiac and diabetes have healthy children all the time. As long as she adheres to her diet then she should be fine.

    ARCHIVED What Else

Alot of people went undiagnosed for a long time. Celiac can cause other things if untreated for a while. There can be other contributors to the other diseases and health issues as well..not just celiac.
