  1. I take Liquid Vitamins Plus(ultra absorbable) from Utrition. This vitamin seems to work well for me.
  2. Alot of their ice cream and frozen yogurt is gluten free. I have an email of flavors we can have that they sent me..if you want just email me and I will send it to you. We love to go to TCBY about 1 time a week
  3. When you are new to the diet it's more likely to get gluten into you accidentally because it takes some time to learn how much gluten can be hidden in. He may be getting gluten in him through things he thinks are gluten free. He may be getting cross contamination problems as well. There are alot of ways gluten could be getting into him. Another thing to...
  4. They say "This product is naturally free of gluten" on the side of the STAXX Chips container. The STAXX are supposedly made on dedicated lines as well as a few other chips they make so they are definitely safe. Frito Lay also makes other gluten free products that are not made on dedicated lines.
  5. Turtle- I am 17 and they had me get a bone density test to make sure the celiac didn't cause any other problems.Thankfully, the bone density test I had showed my growth is normal. I think it definitely is a good idea even if it is just to rule that out because one of the things that can come from untreated celiac is osteoporosis so it would be better to...
  6. Yep I drink Welches juice all the time too and was told they are gluten free...and never had a problem
  7. Kraft is one of the brands that does not hide anything on labels. If it contains wheat, rye, barley, oats in any way shape or form then it will say wheat, rye, barley, oats. Vinegar is not always a no no for celiacs...it just depends on the kind of vinegar
  8. Yep I use alot of products by Dove...this brand has worked great for me
  9. It's a little too early to tell. I was gluten free for 3 months before I had a big change and then a few more months to get back to normal. Your body is probably adjusting to the diet right now so give it some time. Feel better soon
  10. I agree with celiac3270. I would not use it since it is on the face and you know how that stuff can slip into the mouth pretty easily. It would be too risky for me.
  11. This is from this sites mainstream product list of peanut butters that are gluten-free: Arrowhead - Adams natural Erewhon Featherweight Jif - all brands Meijer's - Creamy and Crunchy Peter Pan Planters - Creamy and Crunchy Real Brand - Creamy and Crunchy Reeses S&W Nutradiet - no salt added Skippy - Creamy, Crunchy, Super Crunchy...
  12. Yes it is possible. In fact weight gain is a symptom of celiac. Not just weight loss. Everyone has different symptoms with celiac...there are over 200 symptoms involved with celiac too.
  13. Tests may come back not accurate because of your childs age. When they are below 24 months old you can get false negative testings.
  14. Yes, that is correct.
  15. I have never had a problem with Amy's. I also really like that brand. Feel better soon
  16. As Stef said..I did a visual for my friends that seemed to work quite well. So if you talk until you are blue in the face and they don't get it then try a visual. Let them know this is an autoimmune disorder and you were genetically predisposed to this. Let them know there is no cure and gluten will tear up your intestines and if you choose to ignore it...
  17. Since the label says corn vinegar I wouldn't be concerned about that but caramel color may or may not contain gluten. What brand is it? It would be ok if it is a brand that will not hide anything(like Kraft) Someone on here might know about it though if you post the brand
  18. I forgot to answer this post.. We named her Bear. She is a 4 month old Jack Russell. Very content and kind of like a spoiled lap dog We got her from some friends. My mom and I went to their house for some paperwork for her work. We got there and they asked if I wanted the dog. They have 3 others and wanted to get rid of this one. So we got her
  19. Interesting article...thanks for sharing. I had intestinal candida for a while until we finally got me on something to clear it up. I wonder if that also contributed to me getting celiac disease.
  20. That's great to have a clear cut answer Now nobody can tell you "it's all in your head"
  21. Yeah I try not to think about that lol You know I've always wanted to know if they have some sort of dog mouthwash...like everytime after they eat, go to the bathroom, go outside and everything if they could lick some germ killing mouthwash that would help get rid of all that gross stuff...I don't even know if there is such a product but their should...
  22. Wow...well at least you tried. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. Some people either don't understand or don't want to understand. But the info you put on there will hopefully help somebody else who discovers that site
  23. HAHA yeah...I may just put a link to it on here or put it on the avatar for a day or so. You are correct...I am not worried about touching the food because I can easily wash my hands...it's the licking because this dog is a licker and no matter how hard you try to stop her she will get you somehow and I want to eliminate the chances of being glutened...
  24. I don't plan on eating dog food...I am worried about her eating gluten containing food and then licking me(which I try not to let her do that). I don't want to have another concern in there so even if I have to pay extra it's worth it for me.
  25. Yes! Thanks so much:) We are going to a pet store tomorrow or the day after so I'm sure they will sell some of those brands. That info definitely helps out. We got a 4 month old Jack Russell...she is so cute and very content. You tell her to go "home" and she'll go to this doggie bed we have. And she will not climb stairs if we all leave her in the main...
