  1. I love the Kraft Honey BBQ sauce..may be too sweet for you but try looking at other ones made by Kraft...love their products
  2. I use the Honey BBQ by Kraft...that's pretty much the only kind I eat.
  3. Hershey's is a brand like Kraft so all you have to do is check the label. If it doesn't say wheat, rye, barley, or oats right on the label then it is safe I love Hershey's syrup
  4. Just got a real response: All SC Johnson products are extensively evaluated for toxicity and safety. We are a family owned company that takes pride in producing the best products at the best value for our consumers. Celiac Disease is a lifelong digestive disorder found in individuals who are genetically susceptible. Damage to the mucosal surface of...
  5. Dove is a great brand. They will not hide anything on labels. I use their shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, and bar soap. For hand soap I use Softsoap(liquid) For hand sanitizers I use Purell so I don't have to use other soaps when I am out Pretty much anything on your hands, face, and head have a pretty good chance of entering your mouth so it's best...
  6. Soaking into the skin does not pose a threat. The only way to get a reaction is by it entering your mouth. The only thing that would cause a skin reaction is is you have DH or if there are medical patches which are specifically made to be absorbed. Makeup for the face in my opinion should be gluten free. Anything you put on your hands, face, or head...
  7. Since you have no indication of celiac disease then you could have just a gluten intolerance. Your body is telling you there is a problem with gluten so stick with what is right for your body. Tests and doctors can't tell you what your body can. Enterolabs I find to be an awesome thing. Some doctors "accept" them but it is not widely accepted for diagnosis...
  8. With a positive biopsy that means there is damage so he does have celiac and should now be gluten free for life. He should not be on gluten a year from now or ever.Hope this helps
  9. That's the same response I got...
  10. We went to a Vietnamese place today. They have rolls that are made with flour tortillas and then others made with rice paper. The place we went said the only thing they had with gluten was that one roll however I am skeptical about all of the sauces.
  11. Many people are misdiagnosed with IBS when it is really Celiac. Alot of doctors do not know what they should about celiac so I would not believe it for one second. Your body knows best. Did you have blood tests done?
  12. Oatmeal in the US is known to be highly contaminated. I avoid it all completely. As celiac3270 said though....DO NOT USE QUAKER...they have high contamination issues. Dietitians tend not to know alot about celiac. I was told I could have Spelt which is a form of wheat. So do not solely rely on them for your info.
  13. Neosporin of all forms are gluten free...check out the mainstream list on this site under medications
  14. The only thing skin wise you need to be concerned about is if you have DH and then you would need gluten-free everything. Also medical patches are made to have it specifically absorbed into the system and can cause problems if they are not gluten-free. As for nail polish, if you do not have DH then I wouldn't worry about it. It's a concern with nails because...
  15. This is from their site. Since it is distilled it would not matter the origin of what it is made of...the distillation process would eliminate the problem.
  16. No all vinegars are NOT gluten free but alot are. What brand was the ricotta cheese?
  17. Yes, cocoa and fruity pebbles by Post are gluten free. They are a division of Kraft which will not hide anything on labels These are a couple places with gluten free products: The Outback has a gluten free menu upon request McDonalds has some gluten free products too which you can get on their site Have you changed products as well for him...
  18. I am also 17 and had the same problem with weight before I went gluten free. If she is on a gluten free diet have you made sure she is not getting anything containing gluten into her diet. This includes products like lipsticks which often contain wheat starch and other products that you put on your hands, face, and head which can easily get into the mouth...
  19. All of Colgate shaving creams are gluten free I know alot of the Skintimate shaving gels(made by the same company as Edge) for women are gluten free but do not know about the Edge products. However I just contacted them about them and should be getting a response fairly soon. I will post it when I receive it. Until then there may be someone on here...

    ARCHIVED "celiac Isn't Hereditary"

Yes, try giving some articles. Beat them with the facts, then they will not know how to respond. The fact is that it is genetic ..and the reaction of many doctors is like what you got. I know it is frustrating. You should insist him to be tested for celiac. He does have alot of symptoms and seems to be suffering. If the doctors are too ignorant to flag it...
  21. Yep celiac3270 is right There is no cure. The only thing we can do is stay on the diet...that is the only way we can heal. And you are correct, if this was true then everybody would know about it and everyone would treat celiac this way...but the fact is that it is not true. Those sites disturb me too because new people to the disease may try this and...
  22. Really..they must have updated that since the last time I saw that...thanks for that info It's on the April 2005 Delphi list but I would call and make sure or email them because the date of verification on their is 2004 but it's on the updated April 2005 list...due to mixed info from reliable sources it would be best to call or email..wouldn't want...
  23. -Yogurt(Yoplait) -Cinnamon english muffin(Foods By George) with strawberry cream cheese(Kraft) -Cereal(cocoa or fruity pebbles by Post) -Scrambled eggs
  24. That is a good list but is not updated frequently so may have alot of outdated info. From the updated delphi forums list it says that: Log Cabin -All syrup varieties are gluten free Maybe that was old info that you saw there. There is alot of info out there but alot is old. If you do not have the delphi list already you should get it. celiac3270...
