  1. I just had a big issue trying to find cornmeal and I posted it somewhere on here. I'm pretty sure I called Bob's Red Mill and was told their cornmeal is made on lines that make things with wheat. I went with Arrowhead Mills because they were the only place I called that said they thoroughly clean the machines and frequently test for any gluten.
  2. Well, this is probably not a good thing, but I am addicted to Dubbble Bubble. It's made by tootsie and nothing they have has glutin. However, once I started chewing it, I got to where I would chew about 15 pieces a day, so I am trying to break the habit now! I'm sure you were looking for more of a mint type gum but I am no help there.
  3. YUM. I may as well print these out right now. Thanks for sharing!!
  4. I love the video! How cute!! Thanks for sharing this, I am definitely going to try them!
  5. Okay, thanks. I am just hoping I can get some more feedback. Are all these tests showing negative and no chance of celiac to you guys? It would be great if I am the only one that has it, but if there's any chance with my kids I will have them go gluten free too.
  6. and Bolthouse Farms has gluten free 1000 island dressing too!!
  7. I'm interested!! I am going to buy all new muffins pans just so I can start trying all these recipes!
  8. I have noticed that their new labels on great value products seem to state if something is made in a facility with wheat. I appreciate that though. It makes shopping a lot easier! Now that I know they will label something, I feel better. And a lot of their things say "gluten free"! I think that's great for Walmart!! A lot of name brand companies don...
  9. one other thing I was wondering is if there's a different reference range for children than there is for adults. my ttg iga range was the same 0-19 as they have. also I looked up the range for the iga and they have used the reference range for my middle child as 9, but he will be 10 in 2 weeks, and that changes the low to 68 not 45, so his result of 37...
  10. Please help me understand this-thank you so much Okay my youngest son's results say: Tissue Transglutaminase Iga Ab: 0 units Anti-Gliadin IgG Antibody: 0 units Anti-Gliadin IgA Antibody: 0 units Immunoglobulin A: 73 Normal Range 45-234 so, I think it's safe to assume he does not have celiac disease Now my middle son's results are: Tissue Transglutaminase...
  11. Dh just came home with 3 cans so I could make white chicken chili tomorrow. The cans say "naturally gluten free" but they ALSO say "may contain traces of wheat"!!! That is so dumb. Now I have to return them all and go shopping again! Does anyone use another brand of green chili?
  12. Mine too! I can't wait to get all the gluten out of my house and then experiment with pizza crusts!! I feel like I can't do anything until I get the house gluten free. This whole thread is making me want to come up with a homemade pizza that is better than anything I could get out!
  13. I've tried emailing twice and no one has ever answered, and I can't find a phone number for them other than something in the phillipines! I really really like their canned sardines in tomato sauce. The ingredients say: sardines, tomato sauce which is made from tomato paste, and water, salt, pepper. distributed by Liberty Gold Fruit Co., Inc. So. San Francisco...
  14. I would love a recipe too! I am right this second baking a batch of gluten full muffins that I had in the pantry, just to get them baked and out of the house. But I will not be eating any of them, so I would love to have a recipe for muffins I could eat! Hope someone posts one!
  15. It's weird because I have been eating whatever I wanted my whole life and now right when I give up gluten I start itching all the time like crazy!!! I can not take this itching any more. I think I will give up the nightshades then and see if the itching goes away. If that doesn't work, I dont know what. My hands are fine now btw, totally fine. That is...
  16. ROFL!!!!!!!! I would suffer extreme guilt just eating it on a spoon, because I'm already overweight and always feel horrible about it! I wish I could do this!!! Maybe after a while on a gluten free diet I'll go back to the normal weight I used to be before celiac disease.
  17. man, I just bought a new can of lays stax too! I just got them because I needed immediate food and I knew they were safe. I'm so HUNGRY lately and I'm not eating much either because it's hard to figure out what to eat. But while I was eating them the roof of my mouth started to itch so bad I used the crushed up chips in my mouth to scratch it and now it...
  18. I have nutella too, I hope it is gluten free, I thought it was! It's so good on an apple or banana, that is how I eat it. I've always called it "new-tella" but don't really know how it's pronounced! is it nut-tella like NUTS ??? lol. I sure hope it's gluten free.
  19. Thank you so much for posting this! I just called them too, and they are sending me coupons. I love their strawberry banana smoothie!! and I'm so excited to try their salad dressings! I hate hidden valley ranch, totally tastes fake to me, so I can't wait to try this ranch and see if I like it!
  20. okay, I will try this. what is it, just over the counter magnesium? how much shoudl I take. I have constipation ALL the time, and I take miralax every night, it does nothing.
  21. Well, I have been eating more potatoes than I used to. I dont really like potatoes much, and it seems like when I eat potato CHIPS, the roof of my mouth starts itching like crazy. But I dont think ti happens with baked potato. I've always had a lot of tomato stuff like salsa and tomato sauce and I dont know of any problems from it, other than it irritates...
  22. Thank you guys! I guess my regular doc is going to call in the ferrous sulfate to walmart pharmacy, so we'll see what I get. I do take thyroid meds also, so thanks for that info! and I will try to take it with orange juice, tho I'm supposed to be careful with acidic foods until all my ulcerations heal. no idea how long that takes! the thing is I have...
  23. yeah it's in the joints, more on the right hand than the left but still in both. It seems to be in all the fingers and in the back of the hand area too. warm water seemed to help a bit but it's still hurting. maybe I could try the glucosamine if it doesn't go away. Thank you!
  24. and if so, can you share what you use it for, and any recipes?? I'm trying to compile some ideas and then probably get one in December when they are back at our Costco. I wanted one before but could never justify the expense, but now I'm thinking it would be great for making gluten free things! Thanks!!
  25. I've called quite a few companies that do feel safe saying their products are gluten free because they have no gluten anywhere in their facility. As for Colgate, they told me that they use MANY facilities all over the country and if those facilities also process gluten, then the chance for cross contamination is there. I dont think there is much risk for...
