  1. I have missed my canned soups...and Progresso was one of my favorites. I bet most of you know this, but just in case, they actually SAY gluten free on them!! I dunno about all of you, but I feel so much better buying something that says on it, gluten free. I started my gluten free diet back in Nov. 09 and it's been a hard road, but I have been successful...
  2. I will have to bring that up to her! I am taking the iron pills, but they upset my stomach. I even take the kind thats supposed to be easier on your bowels :\. They have always made me feel this way, which is why I stopped taking them years ago. But, I am trying to deal with it...until I can get in to talk with my doc. Thanks for the advice!
  3. Ok thank you!! I figured that would be the answer, and like I said the gluten free diet is making me feel SO much better, better then I have felt for years! So it's pretty obvious, I just didn't realize I was doing that good of a job :)I am still coping and I have moments of denial apparently Thanks again! And I will definately get on some iron supplements...
  4. I love PF Chang!! Going there for my birthday next week!! Glad to hear they are adding to their menu!! I will just have to go again in a month!
  5. I was recently out shopping for the Bobs Red Mill which I used in the past, but they were out and directed me to "Full Circle" gluten free pizza crust. It was seasoned nicely and makes TWO pizzas out of one package versus the one pizza I got out of Bob's...It was pretty good, and my none gluten-free boyfriend ate more then I did!
  6. I had an Endoscopy the beginning of Nov. I was diagnosed Nov. 5th 2009, and have been gluten free since Nov. 8th 2009. I believe the last time I accidently consumed gluten was around the beginning of December. I have been really good and really careful NOT to get cross contaminated or get glutened since then. Now to my question, my GI told me to get my blood...
  7. I am new to this...so maybe ya'll know this...but I was getting the Honey Nut Chex...just found CINNAMON chex!! They are delicious as well
  8. I started my gluten free diet in November 09...have been doing great thanks to the info on this site!! Though, I have researched so much I forget things time to time....I was recently looking to buy some shredded cheese, and looked at the label as I always do, and found something that confused me. It says "potato starch, starch" in the ingredients....I know...
  9. Haha! I know, I started using it because my sister (17 yrs old) uses it and it works great for her...hope you like it!
  10. I hate when people act like that.... If I could eat gluten I would have at it like I always did before!!
  11. They offer to take your food in the back to cook it, and they even come show you that their utensils are clean. Not all ingredients are gluten free, but the ones that are gluten free are clearly labeled. The sauces that are gluten free are elevated above the other sauces so nothing an drip in or anything. It was great!
  12. There is a place called DB's Mongolian Grill, Everything Gluten Free is clearly labeled, and everyone there is very knowledgeable if you have any questions...and it was delicious!! They just opened near me in Minnesota, but they appear to be all over the top/east half of the US. Just so everyone knows, it was really good!!! Here's the website.... Open...
  13. I am in Minnesota as well, don't know where you live but on Open Original Shared Link it says all the fast food pizza places!!
  14. I have had the tomato bisque and the clam chowder and they were also delicious! I am SO glad I found them!! Glad they have chicken noodle too! I was starting to miss soups as it started getting colder...
  15. I just ate there last night!! Come to find out my favorite burger, the Royal Red Robin is on their gluten free menu, its delicious! Even without the bun! I will miss that Red Robin seasoning though, it was great on the fries. Very good choice for eating out, the whole yellow baskets and such made me feel better. A place that actually takes it seriously.
  16. I just tell people it's an auto immune disease and that its not allergy...I don't have an allergic reaction...my body truly can't process it correctly. Some people just dont get it though
  17. Before knowing I had Celiac, the few days before til the few days after were way more painful...and I went to the bathroom way more. Now, after finding out what I have, and starting Gluten free...I just started a month ago, but have had one period and it was WAY better!! Dunno about being glutened yet? Hope I dont find out :< My thoughts are that yes....
  18. Thanks everyone for your advice!! Tired of shredding my own cheese!! I am lazy I guess.... Ahorsesoul-it's going alright so far, as good as it can get I think! I have very supportive people in my life so that has helped a lot. My mom has gone out of her way to do tons of research and buy me cookbooks and such. I feel SO much better physically on this diet...
  19. Alright, when my GI called about a month ago and told me I had Celiac Disease, she mentioned three things as examples that had gluten...ketchup, dressing and shredded cheese...SO, I have avoided ketchup and dressing all together and have begun shredding my own cheese. Needless to say, people in my life who care about me are doing their own research and finding...
  20. Hey! I am 25 and just found out I have celiac through an endoscopy. I had problems with anemia and always feeling tired for years!! They blamed my fatigue on the anemia, and the anemia on just being a girl! I started having all kinds of digestive problems in the last three years, and FINALLY know what is wrong with me!! Doesn't it feel great to know you can...
  21. The more I thought about it last night...and after talking to my mom who was there when we went out to eat, I ate a little bit of the side of cole slaw, not even thinking! Pretty sure thats what did it...how stupid am I? Thanks for your advice about talking to the chef! I will do that from now on.
  22. I just tried Red Bridge last night. It was pretty good, expected it to be horrible. I loved beer before I found out I had celiacs...and am SO happy they made gluten free beer....so hard cider beers like woodchuck are ok?!?! I guess I never thought of those...I love those!!
