  1. I refrigerated two fresh slices, and froze the rest as I don't really know what I plan to eat it. The refrigerated one's became a PB&J and it was great! I took two frozen pieces out today and ended up toasting them, which was still fine Didn't really seem drier, but I did lay on the butter pretty thick lol. Thanks for all the advice!! I will try a different...
  2. Thanks! I usually let it go, but since I had to be in the car for what seemed like hours (only 15-20 minutes) I freaked out and took two, normally if I take any, it's one. I have now finally gone this afternoon and all is good!! No blood....somewhat back to normal and feeling better! Still a bit tired and trying to shake my headache. Thanks for the advice...
  3. Thank you!! I still haven't gone due to the Imodium, haha. Hopefully today so I can see how it all is. Trying the bread this morning....hopefully it's ok! At least it's the weekend and have no where I have to be. Thanks again!! I do feel better today.
  4. I never had a blood test. I was having such bad problems my doctor sent me right to a gastroenterologist, and they told me to go on a high fiber diet for two months > When that obviously didn't help, they thought I had Crohn's and ordered a colonoscopy....as I was about to go in for it, they asked if I wanted an endoscopy also, so I said sure, why not...
  5. Glutened and had a blood clot in my D, anyone else ever have this??? Here's my long story...Yesterday...for breakfast I ate my Chex Honey Nut cereal with 1% milk (I have no dairy issues), lunch I made a Jiff PB & J (Grape Smuckers) on my homemade Bob's Red Mill gluten-free bread, and a bowl of Annie's gluten-free Mac n cheese for dinner. How much more...
  6. Agreed on the gluten-free bread. I rarely eat any bread, but when I do I don't really enjoy it. I have a Cuisinart Convection Bread Maker, model CBK-200. I got it as a gift from my mom, so I don't know how much it was, but can't imagine it would be some crazy price? I use Bob's Red Mill bread mixes, and they work great! They have a bread machine recipe on...
  7. I have been drinking Tanqueray and tonics all summer!!
  8. I need to know the best way to store my homemade bread. I know when it's bought in a store, it's frozen. I think I refrigerated it last time, but can't remember. I just want to keep it fresh, and as I am the only gluten-free eater in my house, it will take a week or more to eat it all. Thanks!
  9. Yes, exactly. When I went in for my colonoscopy (which found nothing but my healthy colon ), they asked if I wanted an endoscopy also while they were at it, I said SURE! Why not? So glad I did or they wouldn't have found it.
  10. Don't eat gluten free at all...You want to have gluten so if you have Celiac Disease the anti bodies will show their ugly selves I am sure, since it's only been 5 days gluten-free, if you have a week or so to eat gluten again it will be good. I had to wait 3 months to get the blood test after going gluten-free to see if the diet was working. I would eat...
  11. I am in Minnesota and the other day when the temp was 100's (but felt like 120 according to weather.com) I was feeling the same way. I didn't want to get out of bed, just wanted to sleep...came home from work and just lounged around. Couldn't get the motivation for anything. Today, temp is in the 80's and I feel better. Just trying to keep hydrated! Hope...
  12. I eat Nature Valley's Almond Crunch bars. They can hold me over an hour or two on days I don't have time to eat lunch. They are really yummy, too! Otherwise, Blue Diamond Nut Thins are also gluten-free, come in a variety of flavors and are horribly addictive. And Snickers bars!!!
  13. Hey and welcome! I live with my gluten consuming boyfriend. I didn't get my own cookware at first, but still felt sick occasionally. Maybe it was all in my head, but I did get my own pots, pans and utensils eventually. When I cook ( which is 95% of the time ) I use my utensils, my pots and pans and make everything gluten free. I used to make things separate...
  14. Glutino everything is pretty yummy Love their wafers!
  15. Sorry to post AGAIN, but here's something I JUST read!! How weird is that? Made me think of this post....hope it helps? Open Original Shared Link
  16. I would think if you are eating a lot of high fiber/gluten items, then the test result would come back positive. I never had the blood test....they went straight to an endoscopy with me, so I am not a pro at knowing the blood test stuff. I was told I had IBS also, and to go on a high fiber diet (TONS of wheat products...>) for 2 months...I went back 2...
  17. You're welcome! I am still excited about it!! It's pretty easy and quick to use. Love/hate how popular gluten-free is becoming...love that people are aware....hate that some people think it's a "fad diet" and that they don't have to be careful. So, now we can find the places who know how important it is to us!
  18. Wow I never thought of bringing my own bread!! Seems so simple, I will have to do that...For now I just don't take it. God knows my intentions
  19. I emailed them about a year or so ago to see what I could have. They told me nothing...except to buy their coffees to make at home. :\ Frapps and everything mixed can cross contaminate with other things made. Dunn Brothers is really good if anyone has one of those near them? I am in Minnesota...there's also Caribou Coffee, they are great!
  20. AND I am not anemic anymore!!! I was continuously anemic for 11 years....now I have higher levels than I have ever had in my life!!
  21. Well, I can't prove it's due to the gluten-free diet...but my eye sight has always gotten gradually worse every year (since 3rd grade) I go to get my eyes checked. This year, they got better! How weird is that? Also, every time in the past when going to the dentist, they had to scrape my teeth a good amount, the last two times they have hardly had to touch...
  22. Thanks all for your replies!!! I won't try synthetic stuff....I am not much into ANY drugs, but was wondering about MJ....maybe someday they will legalize it For now I will stick to my tea, pain relievers and immodium! And maybe some MJ someday....
  23. Ginger Tea and tons of water...plus I usually try to just lay around and be as lazy as possible
  24. Maybe some of you already know this, but there is a "find me gluten free" APP for FREE!!!! I was recently on a road trip from Minnesota to the Carolina's. When we got to South Carolina, I thought to myself how much easier it would be to just know what places there were, and not have to keep calling each restaurant. So I searched in my Android Market and found...
