  1. Last night - chicken tortilla soup Tonight - smashed tomato and arugula sauce on pasta
  2. If they are going on a bus, maybe she could take a cooler and a box of food? Find out if the hotel has micro waves and ask for a fridge for her room for "medical need". Freeze things like scrambled eggs or chili that she could eat in the am or the evening when she is at the hotel. Pack some things to make a sandwich to take for lunch. Go Picnic makes...
  3. As Laura explained - those duodenoscopes are not used for a normal endoscopy.
  4. What you quoted doesn't say to leave the gluten out, it says to take a low gluten flour and add extra gluten to it. And that would make it safe for Celiacs? I don't see how you would think that would be good for Celiacs. Many people do well on the basic SCD diet, I realize that. But, if eating low gluten flours and adding additional gluten to them...
  5. I have no idea what ".when...low gluten flour is baked into bread together with the separated gluten, starch malabsorption does not occur in spite of the fact that the same amount of gluten is present in the baked product as was present in the whole grain before gluten extraction. Since absorption of the wheat starch is complete, there is no resulting fermentation...
  6. These posters haven't been on for 2 years. You have a thread https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/110684-food-allergies-and-speech-delay-in-toddlers/ That might be a good place for you to keep all your info and questions and answers.
  7. You asked that question in your own, current thread here: https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/110684-food-allergies-and-speech-delay-in-toddlers/ Might be better to discuss your issues on your own new thread? The original poster has not been on the forum for almost 2 years.
  8. I am not sure how allergies might effect a small child. I would think that they could effect hearing if they are causing stuffiness. Feeling bad would probably make a kid less likely to do a lot of things. Celiac can cause issues with children - growth is a big one. Open Original Shared Link I would think it would take more than 10 days to...
  9. It should be fine for Celiacs - they are GIG trained. It might just depend on how comfortable you are with your local Pizza Hut employees and whether they will follow the rules.
  10. Aren't some of these symptoms from your lupus? Yes. You have to eat gluten to get an accurate test.
  11. Sure, you could have Celiac disease. You could have other issues, too. I am not sure what "SLE" is referring to and wouldn't want to assume. If you want to get tested for Celiac, continue to eat gluten until all testing is finished. Celiac testing doesn't work if you aren't eating gluten.

    ARCHIVED Cat Food

There are a lot of grain free cat and dog foods that I think would be safer for your pets than Blue. Both my dog and my cat have gotten some of the food that caused overdoses of vitamin D. I would think they may not be very careful about cc of grains if they aren't careful about the basics in making their foods. When you look at how they store the raw...

    ARCHIVED Old Account

The only accounts that are deleted are for people, like spammers, that have been banned. I reported it to admin to take a look at. What do you think your old " name" was?
  15. Vans is a large company with a good reputation for gluten free. If you read thier info, they make the gluten-free in a special section of the plant and keep the gluten-free ingredients separate. They test ingredients and finished product. Perhaps it is another ingredient in the waffles that bothers you? The ones I looked at do not contain soy but do contain...
  16. It appears that food allergy tested is not very accurate, so you could have an allergy. You might want to read about food allergy testing from reliable MEDICAL sites ( not some site by someone who is not an MD).
  17. I have read that many people, not just Celiacs, are vitamin D deficient. B12 deficiency could be from the Celiac - it is the one thing that can linger. I don't have time to look this stuff up for the link right now. Google vitamin D deficiencies and pernicious anemia from some reputable sites like Mayo or webmd.
  18. America's Test Kitchen tests many things and gives their opinions of good and bad - it's not just gluten-free flour mixes or products. They do that with blenders, knives, ketchup, etc. They are just telling us which products, of the ones they tested, work the best or aren't as good. They are like Consumer Reports for recipes and cooking.
  19. All these are gluten-free and grain free: Open Original Shared Link
  20. We are having our version of grilled cheese with tomato soup (Hubs doesn't like regular tomato soup ) Veggie minestrone soup with a grilled moz and fresh basil on an Italian herb bread fro the local gluten-free bakery.
  21. My homemade sauce is pretty thick/dry -so I add a little extra water. Jarred sauce is usually wet enough to cook the noodles.
  22. I don't think I am understanding? Why would the GI do an endo a month after the first one? It usually takes longer than a month of gluten free to heal the damage. Heck, it takes at least a month to get the gluten-free diet figured out and perfected. Open Original Shared Link How long does it take for the villi to heal themselves? The amount...
  23. Tonight we are having a salad with a Spicy peanut dressing & chicken.
  24. Thanks. that sounds easy and yummy
  25. I use those noodles for lasagna and I don't bother cooking them at all. They work great that way and saves some time and mess.
