  1. Just an FYI - Because this is an over 4 year old thread, most of these posters are not currently active on Celiac . com. There are more current threads about this topic with active members.
  2. Maybe this is Mr Glutenhead?
  3. In terms of this question of using vinegar to clean with, Its much more expensive than cheap white vinegar or apple cider vinegar, I doubt anyone would clean with it. (not sure what this smiley means, just liked him)
  4. I don't know anything about this couple that wrote the article, they look like nice people but its not very scientific. In the US, its pretty easy to stay away from malt vinegar so I will do that until I see some of the "Experts" test it.
  5. Take your own. If you were paralzed, you would bring your own chair. Would that insult anyone? Just tell them you are rather limited on what your doctor allows you to eat right now but you are feeling soooo much better. I even have a note from the doctor that says "She must bring her own food". (Meant for things like football stadiums but could work...
  6. Hi Bethanne. Darling little one! If you are still anemic, that saps energy. Take some B12 (sublingual if you can find it). That helps your body use the iron you are eating or taking. Have you had your thyroid tested lately?
  7. Here are some thoughts on this: 1. Talk to the caterers weeks in advance and decide if they seem trustworthy or even willing - just went to an awards dinner, had to go because Hub was winning the award. The college it was held at has an excellant culinary school. If they were catering, I was willing to take a chance. When I found out they weren't the...
  8. Was it a butt on your forehead?
  9. Just becareful with that list. Just because a place has a gluten-free menu, does not mean they understand real gluten-free. For example: Appleby's is on that list. Appleby's has no clue about CC or how to make safe gluten free food. They say the fries are gluten-free but fry them with all the other gluten coated stuff.
  10. Just an FYI. For best results, you should be eating gluten for Celiac tests. If they are negative, that may not mean you do not have Celiac, it just means you are gluten free and not producing the antibodies that the presence of gluten causes..
  11. I'm not sure if this is what you want but : At the top - View New content. On the left side are a lot of options - like topics I follow. Maybe that's it?
  12. Could you use gluten-free Graham crackers? Maybe just sprinkle them on top or in the bottom of the bowl, then spoon his pudding part in at the time of eating - keep them from being soggy.
  13. You swallow a lot of air during a dental cleaning, Celiac or not. Some people more than others. That can cause the bloating, gas, etc. Its like chewing gum. You tend to swallow but its just air. Open Original Shared Link
  14. Love to play with other peoples's babies! Have fun!
  15. Why did the robot go back to robot school? Because his skills were getting a little rusty! Johhny came running into the house after school one day, shouting, “Daddy! Daddy! I got a 100 in school today!” “That’s great, sont,” said his daddy. “Come in to the living room and tell me about it.” “Well,” said Johnny, “I got 50 in spelling, 30 ...
  16. Yep. Exactly! There are a lot of slick, professional looking websites. Just because they look good, doesn't mean they are good. Check the site & authors's credentials.
  17. A friend of mine and I are threatening to go to San Diego until after Christmas! Seems easier and more relaxing.
  18. Most things that are gluten-free are not labelled gluten-free. They do not contain any gluten ingredients. I use cheap vinegar to clean. I wouldn't hesitate to use the Baking soda either.
  19. This thread is about Singapore. are those the ingredients from the website for Singapore? You live in Singapore or have knowledge about places to eat there? Please share that. Ingredients and cooking practices are often different in different countries. In the US, McD's fries are considered gluten-free. There are several threads on here with the full...
  20. Oh I see it. "on par with winning the lottery while getting hit by a meteor while seeing Bigfoot while finding gluten-free pizza that tastes like the real thing. Not really unreasonable odds
  21. Could be made without the milk. Really tastes best if it sits overnight in the fridge. You could add veggies. You would want to pre-cook them and put them in after the blender part. Chunky Chicken Potato Soup 3 med potatoes, peeled & cubed 2 cups chopped onion 4 cups water 1 tbps chicken flavored bouillion granules (I use 2 packets...
  22. FYI. The original post was 3 years ago. I don't think she has been on the forum lately.
  23. Lets all help Shadow with the paper. I'll start: It was a dark and stormy night...... Wait, maybe we need to know the subject? Nah!
  24. cooking for us and food to take to my parents. I made some pumpkin spice cookies. Some for us & some for my folks. Made a batch of beef stew in the crockpot, mostly for my parents, but will keep at least 1 big serving for left- over night or M's lunch. Making tortillas soup with lots of chicken, corn and black beans for us. my folks wouldn...
